My brother I am never doing that, this guy is a crook, he used old parts to do my car, he robbed me over 250k, he is very desperate for money this guy and can go to any extent to rob you, be careful my brother, if you do not believe me, send me a text and I’ll show u how much I paid and what I got in return. The only nice cars are his and that is what he shows ppl to attract clients. Most of the cars he makes come back in a day or two for some reason. This guy is a crook be careful my brother🤞🏻

i think i know why sa never got the pillerless convertable e30.its because of safety regulations and structure being solid..the manufacturing of the pillerless was expensive for its time .thats why we see the porsche got the targa top ,golf 1 and 3 cabrio got a roll bar ontop .main reason was passanger safety .thats why sa never got a pillerless

Brilliant build bro, I love the E30s very much. I am interested in an E30 333i but would like to start with an E30 325i and work my way up to a 333i including the C1 2.5, C2 2.5, B3 2.7, or B6 3.5 as one of my classic cars. I follow your channel and see amazing interiors in every build. For me I would go with a black leather interior and if I choose a bright interior then tan leather interior would be perfect.

The pilarless ones were never sold to the SA market mostly imports, hence the cabriolet. If I'm not mistaken, it is exactly like the E30 M3, we got the 325is instead.
I'm wondering, does it cost more to build your own 325i or should you just get 1 standard and how much will it cost🥲
It always costs more to build from scratch as opposed to buying something with a good base

I also have white bauer for 30 yrs now. Some small points
The bauer us more structurally rigid than the convertible so a better deal. Maybe why that was the SA choice.
The interior needs a few tweaks.
The seats lack lateral support and although I originally had releathered eventually replaced with E36 cab seats. It is a tight squeeze but can be done.
You need spacers to get height level and still use the slder bars on seatbelts. I also replaced interior lamp which was hopeless for black interior. Made one up with plate,leather covered ctr switch and 2 Led torch heads.
I recobered dashboard in leather. Instrument cluster now has day glow red needles and bronze bezels from Taiwan.
Just some ideas for you.
By the way. Frt struts are same as IS model. They are larger dia than 325i

A pretty neat build, yet has more room for improvement and am well aware the level of restoration is all dependent on the owners' finances. Now from research a standard fairly spec'd E30 (M20B25 which had a capacity of 2,494 cc) BWM 325i cost an average of around R123000 new which was basic and a Cabriolet 2 Door version cost around R165 000 new which was expensive in the early 90s. South Africa had safety regulations in place with regards to safety of consumers buying these cars but it goes without saying that the convertible was available upon request in the additional specifications sheet. A small number of cabriolets were imports and the body structural reinforcements were far more superior than their "covered" counterparts thus inclusive of all the costs bumping the price up to R165K, now the Baur was cheaper than the cabriolet costing around R125 000 and taking into note that it was assembled in Rosslyn.
Research states that 10 865 Baurs were made in Europe and with shipped loose components around 3 561 (in different models) were assembled in South Africa. There's a large number of Baurs in South Africa and some are stored away safely, some are rotting away while others continue to circulate the market. Legislation aside getting a cabriolet was possible and expensive since it was imported but Baurs made sense since they were assembled in Pretoria and cost a neat average of R125 000 (for a 325i). I want one in future as well in Brilliant Red 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Howsit Chip, great work. BMW 325i E30 Cabrio' -- same ice white, but with EAGLE rims -- was my first BMW in 2003. I am very sentimental qbout the car till to-date. RG Motorsport had tuned the car then. Post that, I have driven 8 BMWs. God willing, someday I'll ask of you to make me the same rebuild as this one. All the best !!!
