I would have tried to play a little slower, that helps people listen the lyrics and that can help to also get more volume from the guitar. People playing too fast can not use their whole arm so to say, since playing fast demands them to pluck strings and not bring sound out from the guitar. In a way you shape the sound and not only raise the volume of your instrument. I think this is called voicing, I personally try this when playing, to get an specific sound rather than playing with a certain volume. I could go further with this, tuning, strings, even the place you play at change your sound. Do you like classical music?

Often players can play faster or slower without them noticing. In a way that can get anyone to sound better. I can not wait for more music in the future.
