In my opinion, their voice in Japanese sounds more softy than the English version but I love both versions

I don't get why people are hating on Shuichi's Japanese voice, the game tells you in the first chapter he's lacking in confidence and basically has social anxiety, hence his hat. What kind of voice were you guys expecting, Kurt Russell in Escape From New York?

Seriously? I actually really like his Japanese voice, it embodies his shy and insecure personality but as the game progresses it becomes more confident while still keeping that original softness and sweetness to it. I think it quite fits him but I also love his English voice.

It may souns weird to other people, Shuichi's Japanese voice actually fits him. It still does sound odd to me, but hey almost everyone's voice is odd in a way (Also, I think the Japanse Voice for Shuichi fits his beta version for me)

It feels like the Japanese sounds I guess a bit cuter? Maybe softer than the English but I really love both of them, I’m trying to replay the game in Japanese because on my first play through I’ve played it in English, personally I really specific character’s voice in English I so I probably would choose English and I’m more used to it but they’re both amazing!
I feel like the English version makes them sound waaaay older than they are

shuichi's name in kanji means something like 'the final one' in chinese, 'course its a different language but just thought i'd share with y'all

Kokichi Oma’s “Oma” in Chinese is 王马.
王 (wáng) means king or it could be a part of the word “crown”. 马(mǎ) means horse.
*In chapter 6’s investigation part, on Kokichi’s bed, there’s a horse doll/toy with a crown on its head*

IDK why but I really love the Japanese voice of Hoshi Ryoma, it suits him very well. And also I love how natural Amami Rantaro's voice is, it's like his voice actor was born to voice Rantaro.

I like how some of the actors sound the same to their foreign counterparts.
English voice is good because the character's emotions are alive and lively. The Japanese voice is a unique Japanese voice that goes well with the style of painting and is good because the voice is soft. Of course, I prefer Japanese voice as a Korean, but I think English voice is also really good

Kaede. She sounds innocent in both but I have to give this to 🇦🇺. Very close but.
Shuichi. Tied. I love both the proformences both actors play.
K1-BO (Keebo). 🇯🇵. Sounds far better and suits him.
Kokichi. 🇦🇺. He sounds far more menacing.
Kaito. 🇦🇺. Idk why but I just love the English one more.
Maki (Maki-Roll). Tied. Sounds just as good in both versions.
Rantaro 🇦🇺. He sounds more relaxed and ready for action.
Himiko 🇯🇵. Man she sounds far better. The English one sounds as if she's constantly tired. I know himiko has been seen as lazy but the Japanese one is better. Especially after the loss of Tenko.
Korekiyo 🇯🇵. My least favourite person. Props he/she does sound more menacing.
Kirumi. 🇯🇵. She sounds more innocent. And definitely would have caught me off guard more as the trail 2 killer.
Tsumugi.🇯🇵. Her voice is really annoying in English. No offence tsumugi fans.
Angie. 🇦🇺. She seems from appearance as if she is from Polynesia. And the English voice also makes her sound like a artist.
Gonta (best boi) Tied. Sounds as good as one another.
Ryoma. Tied. That deep voice in both versions has the same impact. Didn't expect that from him niether.
Miu. Tied. Same as gonta.
Tenko. 🇯🇵. Just sounds better.

Both voices suit them. We all have difference culture. For someone from japan looking on this children wood think them suit this voices. For someone from English speaking country looking on this children wood make them think suit complete different voices than Japanese. So i like both of them. (From Kazakhstan)

"dayo" - In short, dayo or da yo is used in spoken Japanese and informal situations to put more emphasis on what you are saying or to make you sound more casual and friendly. It’s kinda similar to the English “…, you know!“. Other than that it doesn’t really have a meaning.
"cko koko kyu no" - it is in the original "Ultimate", it means "Super High School Level".
"soto" - this as I understand it means "leader" or something like that.
And what does "nanda" mean, you'd better search the Internet yourself, I don't know how to explain it.
