What I love the most about your channel is that you always show us how to use your wonderful creations. You don't leave us hanging about what to do with all the things you teach us to make as some do. The eco dyed cards are lovely, as usual.
Sorry that I am so slow but hopefully I will eventually post something on your new Facebook group! ( I just signed up! Yay!) I’m just a tad old but I did run many leaves through my Big Shot this morning and I ordered some liquid copper ( a little bit silly really, to spend $15 on something like that but I just can’t wait 6 weeks for it to brew!!) I’m so excited for it to come so that I can try it out!! I tried the rust water that I made and realized that since I just used 5% vinegar and no water that it is way too strong so I will water it down and try again. So much fun! I have been dragging everyone in to see my “mad scientist” experiments! (Giving you all the credit of course, or maybe the blame!) I am not very technical but when I get something good to post, I will try to post it on Facebook! It really is fun and gives me something fun to do! Thank you! 💕Donna (P.S. I would love to learn sometime how you learned to speak English so extremely well!! Your grammar is better than most of the British people that I hear on RUclips (no offense meant to British people, I love you and lived there for a year!) I wish this whole sweet community of crafters would move here close to me…I would make you cupcakes!!
I'm so glad you got inspired! That's awesome! I think crafting is very good for us, makes our body produce happy hormones and in return we will much better. Oh, my English🤔 Thank you for saying that, it means a lot. I speak English only to myself when I'm recording the videos. I learned in school here, but I also lived in Australia for 15 years. I went to university there and had no choice but to practice. The hardest part for me was writing essays and giving presentations. It's ironic, giving presentations on RUclips seems to be all I do now 🤣
Even at the risk of repeating myself... Your brain works brilliant! 🧡 you showed us so many wonderul ideas what to do with these fantastic prints. 😊 thank you and also thank you for the new FB group...I think that there will be pretty posts from all of us 😍 Wish I had the time to watch you ALL THE TIME. Love and enjoy your calm way to talk 😘 ...and not to forget: thank you for the great freebie!
Aww, thank you so much Steffi! You're very kind. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I already love what everyone shared in the FB group! Very talented ladies, including yourself 😊❤️
As the leaves are falling in a riot of color here in the U.S., I've been collecting & pressing them to do a bunch of art experiments. I thought about pressing them in my Sizzix, but the "rust" solution and implications for deepening that impression's color have really inspired me. Wow. I too was turned off by the sheer mess involved w/ eco-dying, but this is BETTER and no mess! Amazing discovery Saacibo!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the process. It really isn't all that messy, only a bit hard on the arm that does the cranking. I think I have a bit of a muscle 💪 now😂
I adore your videos! You have such a beautiful attitude and I love your ideas You always seem to capture my interest even with something that is not new to me. You have a fresh way of presenting whatever it might be and the subject has become new again! I was looking for an easier way to Eco-print fresh leaves and have watched a ton of vids, then I came across yours and magic happened with your experiments!! Wonderful! I can't wait to try this with the leaves and the rust water! Thanks from the mid-atlantic coast of the U.S.
I did this today! I pressed my leaves through my sizzix big shot about a week ago with the intent of water coloring the backgrounds. But after watching your tutorial I pulled out my rust solution and I had amazing results. Now I'm pondering die cutting my leaves for interesting images...
I found u at last. Love what u do and thank u. I’m 81 and can’t get internet and i know I’m not alone. Can’t reach u to get information. It’s hard sometimes but just stared journaling and love all u do. Can’t give up. See the papers u are giving for these beautiful plants. I also pick a lot of leaves and put in books. That’s all I can do. I’ll try to do this but I live 2hrs from town. Love living out in the country. Thank u have to change my cards and if I could fine u I would mail u one.
Hello Wanda! Glad you found me! I love picking and collecting leaves for drying and pressing, too. I have so many. I have to think of fun ways to use them in my journals. Thank you so much for watching 😊❤️
Wow you always have the most gorgeous ideas! You took those prints to the next level and I love how you used it to a page, thank you for inspiring. Congratulations with your new FB group and thank you for the freebie. Greetings Maia
I was so excited because I almost bought a die cut after seeing your lace on a spool. I was going to buy it and then I saw it on the free download! Thank you very much! I have a health condition right now that made me stay in bed for a couple days. I have been binge watching your channel! Awesome
I just can’t believe how wonderful this has been!! Your discovering is so fun and I am so glad that you shared your excitement with us!! So many beautiful makes!! I was trying to telepathically tell you my idea for the one that was half white and half darker but I couldn’t do it! Maybe I will get one like that too and then I can put it on Facebook! Have you framed any? I think that would be very cool!! Fabulous work!!💕💕
Thank you so much Donna! Glad you enjoyed the video. Oh, I'm torn, I want to use them all and yet I cringe when I start cutting them. 🤣. I framed one that I've done on fabric. Maybe I'll frame a few more. Can't wait to see what you share with us in the group 😊❤️
Love this way to make ecoprints, you have fantastic results. And these projects in this video are giving me ideas how tu use my prints..! There are some of the "traditional" (boiled) prints left, but I'll try your method. I wonder if maple and hazel leaves work the same way as they do in boiled ecoprints. Your tags and pages are so beautyful! Thank you for sharing , hope there will be more of this. 😊 Jutta
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! At the moment, I'm working on Part 3 of this video, trying the same technique on fabric and testing it with different mordants. I love the results and can't wait to share with everyone 😊❤️
I love this! Used fall leaves turning red! So pretty. I looked to see if you linked the tag dies you used but didn’t see it. Will you share that info please?😍
I love the inspiration you provide for us. Your creations are always so beautiful. Would you mind sharing where the beautifully shaped tag die came from? I would love to find something like that and have been searching ever since I purchased one of your journals but unable to find. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the video. I bought those tags from AliExpress 2 years ago, and I wanted to share the link and I couldn't because it said that the product was no longer available. I don't know what that means, out of stock or not being produced anymore. Sorry about that. I found one that is very similar but it's not the same as mine. Que é esse líquido que você passa nas folhas?
