I always enjoy watching these coming home videos. By the 18th of this month I will have my own soldier from overseas coming home after a long year. I miss my hubby and our two dogs that are with him.

Basically, soldiers dont have a 100% chance of coming home, thats how they are deeply touched
By the time I go home to see my family, it’ll have been at least 14 months. It’s just as hard for us as it is for the families back home. I plan to surprise my family when I get home too. Plus the looks on their faces are priceless 😂. Being in the military makes you realize how important your family really is. Being away for so long, you miss each other, and you help each other the best you can through whatever communication that you can have with each other while being so far apart. It sucks that it took the military to make me realize that I had love but I didn’t feel it. I guess it’s true what they say, you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone. I took all the time I had with my family when I was younger for nothing. I didn’t appreciate them like I should have.

When you cut onions it makes your eyes watery because of the acidity. In this context it means that they are using it as a way to say that something else is make them cry and not the video. Its being used as a humorous way to protect their toughness.

There's something about a child hollering "Daddy !!!" and jumping into his arms, that gets my allergies started. It's strange, runny nose, watery eyes, sniffles... I guess goldenrod and duck-thistle are bad in my living room this time of year. No, it's just allergies. I'm a tough firefighter and things like this don't affect us... just allergies (sniff sniff) Just pass the tissues... (all of them) 😢

In The First Clip Sounds Like A Water Alarm Going Off
Had one of these kind of go south in alaska, the reuniting went off with out a hitch in a public space and all, the father returned home his children younger then 10 happy and hugging him, wife and parents all happy and emotional, then came the military hating SOB who started to go off. Then I watched as a perfect stranger walking past walk in front of this guy struck him in the throat and just kept walking like nothing happened, SOB was still breathing, well gasping on his knees, but sure as hell wasn't talking anymore. Never did find out who the dude was, I guess just some guy that was trying to save the moment.
