FYI I support the Game Changers scene in its ENTIRETY. Any criticism should be objective about their gameplay and have nothing to do with who the players are. Thanks!
We don't care who they are. They get away with stuff players in tier 2 could never. If you had a drinking game and you had to take a sip every time you hear "how did she get away with that" you'd be drunk. Pretty much every GC teams are trolling and their gender identity has nothing to do with it. I think GC is lowering the standard for women to succeed and therefor holding them back in some sense. Although they do get opportunities they otherwise couldn't have gotten, I think it's doing more harm than good in the future. Also it's lowkey sexist. How does women have a disadvantage in e-sports? Don't you even dare say sexism since Valorant over-hype GC so hard.
They were close to doing 4 duelist. They were doing 3 duelists on Split during playoffs and actually pulled off decent wins. Though that didn't work during Madrid at all. LMAO.
One of my favorite things about platoon’s analysis is that he doesn’t get blinded by the result of a round but focuses more on the implementation and intention behind each decision. Great analysis as always!
i watched a lot of SMG in champs (as i should as an seasian). and they did those flanks a lot. they did them on bind almost perfectly. they also do it on split. with omen + 1 taking b main garage control early. they like to take as much spaces as possible on defense.
If you've followed Team SMG throughout the Game Changers APAC series, you just know that they've done crazy lineups before. IIRC, they've done an all-controller line-up and 4 initiator lineup in one of their matches in GC Pacific Open 2, and that was just one match. They really decimated their opponent that time.
W vid seems like EG's downfall was because they were too conservative on the attacking rounds. I get it, playing against 4 very explosive duelists which fits the map is challenging, but they keep playing passive, wasting their own utility while SMG kept theirs and have advantageous positions. It just never works out when you brute force a contested area again and again without a very clear path forward. Big ups for SMG, played insane. Their fundamentals are out of this world
I think the first few minutes is the best explanation of why team comps work or not. Valorant roles, though explicitly specified and specialized, are more flexible than we think because of the diverse utility and the creativity that players can do to use their chosen agent's toolkit. One big factor that does come into consideration when it comes to team comps is if it enhances the play style of the user. This is a fascinating aspect of valorant from my perspective as I also enjoy watching DotA. Creative theory crafting is enjoyable, but executing is definitely the challenge.
you know that on these tournies these coaches only studies typical line ups, they dont study weird or odd line ups at all. so that coach is actually a genius
@@aronabraham4657 I don't think it's rehearsed tho. they just know how to play the map well, and know their win conditions. also EG were playing really bad, they didn't have any answer whatsoever. like SMG did a lot of fast rotates and fast retakes. and with 4 duelists, you don't really use their utility to take space early round. so you have all those utility which helps makes those retakes so much easier.
I really don’t believe for one second that those were accidental picks. The stars have to align for an accident like that. Those were the exact 4 duelist you would want if you were going to run a 4 duelist comp. There is no way the executed plays that well if they never practiced that comp.
Plus their main duelist, enerii, was on cypher for the first time in her valorant career, just look up her match history and you'll see that around 95% of her picks are duelists and she had never used cypher in her 3 years of competing before that match, which is hilarious
@@lapizlapoppy let’s not act like plenty of high ranking players don’t have alternate accounts, and do custom scrims get recorded? Regardless if they do or not, if they are on an alt account, you wouldn’t know where to look to find evidence of if they prepared or not. From what we all saw in this match, let’s assume that because they are pros, and because most duelists don’t have line-ups, being more capable of ‘winging it’; an argument could be made they didn’t need practice to play those agents in a vacuum. Now, even if we were to give that benefit of the doubt to that side of the argument, the moment we look at the coaches job, all of that ‘oh it was an accident’ mess falls apart like a house of cards. You really think from the agent select screen to the buy phase, the coach drew up 20 or so plays for both offense and defense? Because what we saw was coordinated plays. There is no way that happens without practice. My theory is that by claiming it was an accident, if their crazy comp failed terribly, the coach wouldn’t get fired for trying something so far off of what was meta. It was insurance, because if I owned a team, and I found out my team (that I am sponsoring) lost because they purposely played a 4 duelist comp, I would think they were trolling my wallet, and I would have my money go to a different coach.
They technically had 4 semi smokes in Neon, Phoenix and Cypher. Also had 4 flashes and 2 stuns in total allowing them to simulate a comp with Breach and Skye though the caveats are also a lack in info gaining abilities. And so to hold and keep map control, they had to be so aggressive.
what's even sadder is that they 1 parted with the other 4 in bad note. tbh im not sure what the story behind it's real ugly. full of cryptic shenanigans
huh... very confusing that there's now a Valorant (I think this is what I'm seeing here at least?) thing named the same as a show a friend of mine has been getting me to watch. The thumbnail is very generic, so it could've been either one really.
Game changers if im correct is not a female only league instead it’s more of a marginalized league, however judging by the performance of the two players on EG and one player from C9 - men cant really compare to female players.
