AC frequency settings are a nice to have feature but only if you understand what it does and where to use it. As a general rule, I use higher AC frequencies for thinner aluminum and lower frequency setting for thick aluminum...But just like everything else in welding, there are exceptions.

Ive learned so much from your vids Jody, thank you. From being an apprentice and learning to weld to 1st class and taking a test in a process i dont have experience in i never stop learning from your channel. Good Job Brother!!
I had to that with with Inconel pipe but not with the AC…. Hey Jody, thanks 🙏🏻 for all your videos because when I have a question about a process I can count on you, especially when I ran into welding HY80 for the first time in my career.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Thank you for the link to the download Jody - I bought a Tig finger from yourself a while ago, so I'll have to don this and get back behind the torch!
Your TIG welding is inspirational and a goal I aspire to as a new welder. Amazing channel with plenty of knowledge!
Read the title "stacking bodies" and I was like uh oh this channels content is taking a pivot
I'm excited to see that Jody is sporting the primeweld machines. I've got mine almost 3 years ago and also added the water cooler too my Tig 225x. Just knowing that a professional will stand behind the Brand is few and far between. It's good to know I didn't make a mistake purchasing a primeweld Tig 225x w/maxcool watercooler added the water cooled flex-loc torch for the total package. Sitting down and welding aluminum is easy with the water setup it's unbelievable between air-cooled and the water cooled.
Always a pleasure 🙏
As always, great video and great content Jody 👏
Jody, I think it would be awesome if sometime you got an aluminum practice project from Welder Made and make a fun video of you building it and maybe tips on welding it. I’ve built a few myself, they are a blast!
Man..that makes me miss welding aluminum! The shop I'm in now..we don't have any aluminum parts.
Thanks for sharing Jody, great job. Fred.
As always, enough information in enough time. Congratulations. 👍😉💪
Comme d'habitude super vidéo.
Merci
Always learning something new, many many thanks!
Looks like you can actually see the heat build up at 2:30 where the piece loosens from the jaws.
Great Job !! 🤗
BUDDY IS A METAL 3D PRINTER.
Nice video, one question... I saw that at the end when you stopped ussing filler material, surface was very smooth, would it be possible to make whole weld smooth if you went over it again with just arc?
Are you expecting to do a video on those laser welders we often see the publicity on you tube? By the way, Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned a lot from you.
Thanks for the video, I see some specks floating around, where are they coming from?
Probably some oxidation from overheating the part and also from the hot tip of the rod coming out of the argon. A #7 or 8 cup would probably have been a better choice to prevent that
Not topic related but i see you've uploaded more recently than others.
Hobart 240 mig problem 0.35, rollers appear fine, motor works fine, and increase in slow then fast wire speed coming out, without contact just pulling trigger. So starts very slow then speeds up to what wire soeed is set at. 0.35 tip. Any suggestions what it might be, im at a loss. Anyone?
Xin chào ông. Ông có thể vui lòng chia sẽ một vi deo hàn nhìn qua gương được không. Xin cảm ơn ngài nhiều.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍
On an aluminum pipe wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just cut a new piece of pipe and machine a new chamfer?
Yes..that is often the case. But sometimes mistakes happen on a Sunday and parts need to be delivered on Monday and there is no way to get more metal.
