the trick with liquid mask is to brush it on like you would if you were painting so you get good clean edges, also add a second coat as you're applying it, thicker the coat the easier it peels off but takes longer to dry, thin coats tend to crumble off as you try to peel
Very well done! I love the techniques you used in order to get the effect you were looking for. I especially love the weathering and scratches on the gun. The hyper realistic looks so much better than the "fake" reflection in the eyes. I can't wait to paint now.
Great work. The Punisher has always been my all-time favorite Marvel character. I have a soft spot for anti-heroes. Jon Bernthal made a perfect Punisher. He took a beating to the point of near death, and he kept on getting up. Personally, I thought the movies didn't capture the true essence of the character. Jon brought out the true raw essence of Frank Castle. It would be cool if your figure came with the option of using Jon's head on the torso.
Absolutely amazing! I love your passion and skill. I enjoyed the fact that you took us through the whole process of printing to reveal. That was captivating bro!
When dry brushing I don’t use a paper towel but a glass pallet. In addition it is good to have your dry brush somewhat moist. NOT wet just a little damp. The dry brush results are amazing and that little bit of moisture eliminates the dusting effect dry-brushing is notorious for. Let me know how it works for you. 😊
Hello. I just found your channel and subscribed to it. I love the content, and you're easy to follow, which is good because I have the most difficult time painting skin tones. I can weather a model like there is no tomorrow, but then lose it when it comes to the skin tone. Then the model looks faker, then it already is. I keep trying to find someone who can show me in person how to paint skin tones with no success. Thank you for the easy to follow and awesome content.
If I have to handle it or if it's a large painted area I don't want to get dust or trash on it before it's permanently sealed. Plus it helps with washes and if I screw up something minor, I can just wipe it off.
Get yourself the Pink Humbrol liquid mask! I've been usimg it dor years its the only one i will use it drys like a balloon just streches and doenst rip into wee bits like vallejo and microscale n ammos! I use it for like deep wadding gear for some my armour models for D Day landi gs etc and using it on my power rangers just now its just the best stuff its totally different to use!
These are just makeup brushes I use for dry brushing. They cover a lot of area and they're soft texture is great for details. I'm just cleaning them with soap and water.
That's cool, but i have a question, how you airbrush without any boot and you don't splash the paint over in the air, what is the setting you use for the psi ? thank you
There is one thing i dont understand. When making the red leather on the boots with the dry brush, you use high quality colours again, like citadel? Or you used normale watercolour?
My friend, I have a question... you said that we have to seal our job, but when you put wet mud or resin water, did you seal before or after you add those materials? Thank you again
I'm using a few printers but mainly the Linant Deck and Base printers. I print at .05 with 1.8mm thickness. I only have to use filler in some gaps and joints but usually not on the surface because my prints come out pretty smooth
@@TheCreativeCollector someone that's getting into resin printing should I get myself a ANYCUBIC Photon Mono M5s Pro thats only if you have used it before
I use airbrush thinner or water with some flow improver. Usually I thin it about 80/20 paint/ thinner. If I use the Vallejo Air paints then it's a little less. If I thin with water, I add a dab of glow improver.
Dude, I hate masking, as same as you, and as same as I mentioned you in any past video. However I bought a national, and non expensive mask, and the creator gave me these tips that helped me a lot: 1) Make sure the mask edges are thicker than the fill. 2) When removing the mask, make sure you don't pull it up, to avoid ripping the paint, instead pull it to the center of the mask. 3) If you can cut the mask in the edges when removing it, it's better, to also avoid ripping the paint. However, I still continue supporting your decision of throwing it to the thrash can XD
If I seal in between layers, I use the Krylon Colormaxx flat coat I show in my videos. I only seal in between if I need to handle the model while painting. I don't want to mess up the paint. Thats why I seal it.
Seems like you just wanted to check the boxes to get this done. The techniques displayed are 100 but the attention to what your painting isn't. The ammo is off the battle belt mag pouches and molle gear the bag is carried on are not leather they are cordura and the gloves have a hole in the back where skin is visible. I really hope youtube hasn't ruined your love for painting. Or maybe I'm an ass and you were simply showing techniques while not caring about accuracy then I'm sorry. But your so skilled that stuff like that bums me out. When I was teaching tattooing I was always telling them to understand what your tattooing and what the line I'd before you commit to the line. I always have reference pictures handy for just that stuff. Much love no hate just a little cc.
Well I appreciate the feedback. Let's me know you watched the video and I appreciate that. However, while you're right...you're also a little wrong. I'm not sure what you're talking about the ammo being wrong, but they are brass casings. The bags on the front belt ARE cordura, and they are brushed grey over the black to simulate the fabric, and I also put a little brown because I wanted them weathered a bit....or dirty. The side bags are leather. The bag on the back is cordura and is drybrushed grey over the black to highlight the bag itself. It's not painted to be leather. The gloves are barbury tactical gloves and don't have an opening for the skin; unless you want that swollen puffy look to his wrist. It's indeed a closed glove. I pay special attention to these things, and while I can't please everyone, this pleases me. And no; RUclips hasn't ruined me and I don't rush my paints for the sake of putting out a video. If that was the case, I'd just do videos showing you how to paint rocks or something like that for the sake of getting out videos on a scheduled time, but I don't. And even in tattooing, which I have a few myself, I can easily pick apart a tattoo as well. Nothing's perfect my friend, and that's what I tell everyone who watches this channel. Print and paint it to suit YOUR needs and wants. But I welcome the criticism. It helps me get better. Thanks again for watching the video, and hopefully next time my painting is up to your standard.

for the vallejo liquid mask you should use a matt varnish or a sealer so that the paint does not ship
I tried multiple ways to use this stuff and had no success, so I'm just over it. lol

I keep my psi around 25 to 30. Very low overspray.
try blue tak to pull the mask of
That shit is in the trash bro! I tried blutak and it didnt work. lol
Do you seal the paint at the end or during the process of painting, and what would you use…thxs
Both. I use Krylon Color Maxx flat clear
This looks magnificent. One thing is that the the rifle stock is typical plastic so it won't have those metal details.
There is one thing i dont understand. When making the red leather on the boots with the dry brush, you use high quality colours again, like citadel? Or you used normale watercolour?
I used Vallejo paints
What is the trick to moisture levels on the brushing? Do you let it dry and for how long?
When you put paint on the brush and just wick it off then it should be good. It gets dry quickly.
Thank you sir
You had me at ... throwing liquid mask away.
My friend, I have a question... you said that we have to seal our job, but when you put wet mud or resin water, did you seal before or after you add those materials? Thank you again
If I put things like still water or mud I seal before then. I don't seal over the mud and water.
@TheCreativeCollector thank you my friend
Hi, when using those Vallejo model color serie paints for air brush, do you use them as they are or thin them?
Definitely thin them
@@TheCreativeCollector last question. do we have to thin them just before we use or we can prepare in large amounts and use later?
What 3D printers are you using to make these they are awesome
I use the Linant Deck and Base 8k
what printer are you using and how thick are your layers? i print at 0.03 and you still see the round layers... do you use a filler after sanding?

When you prime your pieces, do you use airbrush, or rattlecan primer?

How much resin would it take to print a figure like this?
About 2 to 3 kg

print a 1/4 statue how many bottle resin need to use?
It depends on the model itself

I use a 2 part epoxy resin for large parts, and super glue for smaller parts
try a rubber cement eraser to remove the mask👍
The silver on the ammo cans is fine but the large ones are made of wood.
