    • @baldandbankrupt
      @baldandbankrupt  6 лет назад +243

      That's a great question Harald 👍🏻 There is a huge difference in the language spoken across the nation. Many different language trees from Tibetan in the north to Dravidian in the south to Sanskrit root languages on the Deccan plateau. In a future video I will explain a little more on the topic so stay tuned

    Your clips are wonderful This language learning video takes me back 50 years when I went to my first foreign country - Iran- and learnt a foreign language on the street for 3 months and then in a classroom and then from tapes and books though I already knew 4 languages. That gave me such an immense pleasure, I decided to become a super polyglot and traveled all over the world doing international business. CIA, KGB and Mossad teach similar various techniques to learn, speak, read and write a foreign language rapidly. You have learnt one secret. Every soul is important despite ageand gender, you make no value judgement and you treat everybody with dignity and respect smilingly. I wish you luck and good fortune in your pursuit. Figure out the reason people are happy and smiling despite poverty, maladies and vulnerabilities.

      Actually the urdu and Hindi are sister languages, and it had developed in undivided India, The great munshi Premchand first learned Urdu and then hindi, they are so interconnected that it's almost difficult to segregate, the script differs as hindi has devnagari and urdu from arabic languages

    Bookish Hindi isn't popular but most of us can understand that. Bookish Hindi contains a lot of Sanskrit words. If you are well in bookish hindi or Sanskrit it helps you to understand other Indian language. As I am Bengali and I have learnt Marathi , I would say that if you know bookish Hindi or Sanskrit ,you are half way in learning Marathi!

    Cute female cop... Hindi spoken in each city, town and village is different due to the influence of the local dialect... In the southern States of India there is no hindi, its a language called hyderabadi urdu or bangalore urdu or vellore urdu, whatever you may call it, in kerala state it's Arabic influenced

    Can you type out the local hindi/urdu you learned into a word-document or some sort to share with us?
    That would be really really awesome and helpful for people that actually want to spend a few months in India. :D
    You really should put something online for us! It is just amazing to see how people react to your knowledge of the language. They just act...NORMAL.
    I was traveling in Montenegro for just one week, and I saw the difference in peoples eyes when I picked up a few local words. They just turn into these friendly people.
    Much love.
