I had the exact same car. 1969 Formula S fastback 383 with a 727. It was white. No power steering or power brakes. Was a handful to control, god awful handling and braking. Point it in a straight line and let it rip. Was a blast. Had no idea so few were built. Wish I still had it.
272 Total FB 383S/727 fish built in 69! I have the best one B7/B5 interior with white sport stripe, JMO! This car is closely optioned to mine short of no Tach on this one. The factory would not put the Sport stripe with CID call out and the 383S badge below the Barracuda fender script. They only did one 383 call out Period! This car was originally Y4 "Spanish Gold Poly" with a Standard White bucket interior and door panels and black door frame and garnish interior, it was a stripe delete car, so the 383S badge on the fenders is authentic. The stripe is not! Y4 was pretty rare compared to B5 cars by far! I would have kept it exactly as factory built.! Likely making it one of less than 20. Non the less it is one of the 272 built and how many are left! It certainly has promise to become a top notch Fish!
@@robinlewthwaite2489Actually the chrome vent emblems were 67 & 68. In 69 there were small simulated scoops, but only on the 'cuda models - 340, 383 and 440. Not available on Formula-S models.
I owned a 1969 Formula S 383 4 speed, and yes ALL the 1969 formula's had the chrome, mine said Formula S 383 in the inside, and my sisters was also a 69 formula S 340, and yes the chrome on the hood had Forumlua S 340 on it, as do ALL 1969 FORUMULA' S THAT ON THEM!@@grantr5417

With the correct tires, that would be sweet.

@@revenantmotors2599 very good choice.. they look amazing.. 4.5 back spacing? Have you got any still shots of the car? Instagram perhaps
Look awesome as a black donk
Very nice
Awesome Barracuda!!! Check out my Barracuda fastback 512 stroker. 👍
I was really saddened that they took the hood vents off in 69😢
nope, I had 1969 383 Formula S 4 speed, got pictures they were on the Formula's 340, and 383 cars only in 69
