I’m doing the same as Rob ...your videos, techniques, tips and reasonings have helped me so much ...I now confidently enjoy my time on the river and have never caught and released so many wild fish ... a big thank you Cory
Dont you love it when you can call your shot on camera? You had a great day man. You def have your stuff dialed in. No question about it. Those fish and those spots are stunning. Really enjoyed watching you carve em up. Keep those videos coming buddy!
Thank you very much! I didn’t respond to you on my video because, I couldn’t find your comment besides in my notifications, weird, I even checked, held for review. Either way, you’re very skillful, I’m impressed.
Nice Cory, you’re just killing it! Funny because last week I was on a well known VA stream fishing that exact same combo - gasolina point with black france fly tag and had a banner day...48 degree water after 5 straight days in the 70s and it was on fire. You should make it back down to VA!
Thanks Greg! Love that Gasolina and France fly combo! I need to see some 48 degree water and some warm temps! I’ll be down in VA soon hitting some streams. Tight lines!
I enjoyed the video and as always I learned a lot. When I fish in cold winter conditions I find myself making old man noises when I bend down to net the fish. My knees and ankles get stiff in the colder water. I'm not sure but I think I may have heard you making making some of those noises 😊
Great video. I know the stream well that you were on, most notably from the iron bridge in the background and bamboo along the edge of the steam near the end of the video. Unfortunately I am yet to experience the success you had as I’m still relatively new to the euro game. Hopefully one day I can get there. Keep up the great work!!
@@OldDominionTroutBum I’m always trying to learn as much as possible through videos and reading articles and books from noted anglers. Looking forward to your next video.
Great video and I like how you give a narrative after each fish and describe what you are seeing. I am a rookie learning to fly fish with the Euro style. On another topic, what is your go to stogie?
Thanks so much David! Appreciate it. Keep at the Euro. Become a sponge for information and it will start clicking. Tight lines to you! Oh...and I love a good Ashton!
I found your channel about a month ago and have enjoyed your videos. I really like how in depth you go with your explanations on how and why you fish the particular sections. I was completely shocked to see you on one of my favorite local streams. You had a solid outing for that stream. You’re definitely a good fisherman. Do you get up this way often? Oh and thank you for not naming the stream.
Thank you for the kind words Shawn! Much appreciated! You have an awesome stream there. Really love it. I divide my time between our homes in VA and NJ. So from NJ I can easily hit PA. And don’t worry...your stream is safe with me!
I am enjoying your channel I have put PA fishing on my bucket list without giving your ‘honey holes’ away can you point me to some PA streams for spring fishing
Hey James. Appreciate you watching! If you are going to PA, there is no better area than Central, PA. It has the 4 big Limestone streams out there (Penns, Spring, Little J, and Fishing Creek). Some of the best anywhere. Hope this helps.
@@patrout8378 I don’t have any problem at all. It’s a T&T Contact ll and it has great backbone. I’ve caught some really large fish with it. It’s my go to rod. I use a euro cortland level braid core fly line and my leader is approx 12 feet of Sempe .18mm mono and 4 feet of 5x Hanak sighter to a tippet ring. My tippet is usually 6x - 7x.
I live in Amherst county next to Lynchburg city. If you're ever in the area and want to fish hit me up. Got a few put and take streams and couple delayed harvest streams not great fishing but can be decent at times.
Funny you mention that. My son are going down to fish the whitetop laurel end of March. Then next day taking a float trip on the Watagua river with a guide friend on mine!
@@OldDominionTroutBum Thought that was a t&t. I'm about to order the 11'2" 3wt. Thinking of putting the Redington Tilt reel on it with 2 spools. 1 for euro (what I do 95%), and one for small streamers, possibly indicator rig. Any thoughts or suggestions? FYI this is by far the most expensive fishing anything I have ever purchased short of a bass boat, so I want to make it right. Live in Arkansas, wade fish only. Mostly Little Red river
@@DavidWilliams-gp6ts haha. It can get expensive, that is for sure. That T&T setup is a good one. I have the 10ft 9in 3wt for bigger waters and bigger fish. I have a buddy who has the 11ft 2 and loves it. I carry an extra spool with me as well. It’s the best of both worlds. I would suggest going to the T&T website and check what weight reel they suggest to balance the rod. Then you will know if it is right. Btw, the Little Red is awesome. Caught my largest brown ever there. It has some beasts there.

What weight and length Fly Rod you using? Just curious Nice Video and Brownies!

Appreciate it Mike! I use a copper bead with Hends 233 Krystal flash.
When you were saying Olives, are you referring to a fly, or something else?
I’m referring to Blue Winged Olives. They were the bugs that were hatching.
