“Beautiful Reality” is a deeply personal tribute to a friend I lost last year to sickle cell disease. The song explores the bittersweet journey of growing apart, facing regrets, and finding peace in what is, rather than what could have been. It’s a reminder to be present and grateful for our reality, even when it doesn’t align with our expectations.
This song captures the essence of holding onto the beauty in every moment, no matter how fleeting. Originally written a while ago about my first breakup and how that made me feel, I found new meaning in the words after Steven’s passing. The weight of the lyrics now encapsulates the depth of irreconcilable loss and the enduring impact of those we love.

The music is so enriching to the soul. However my mind grapples with reconciling “beautiful reality” with “depth of eternity”. Am leaning on the side of “depth of eternity” because such depth would have plenty of room for “beautiful reality”. Thus, I would change the song title from “beautiful reality” to “DEPTH OF ETERNITY”. Nonetheless, perhaps beauty lies in the ears of the listener not necessarily the eyes that can see “beautiful reality”.
