Aur Noland was impressive in the spring game, running and passing. If he doesn't give up on his self regarding his Ohio State future, at QB, I'm not giving up on him. However, I want him to get a fair shot at the starting job in 2025 and also being the backup if he is not the starter. With the new CFP, the season is long, and anything can happen to the starter. Teams need at least 2 capable and competent QBs to compete throughout the season and get into the playoffs. If Air chooses to transfer, I hope he lands in a great situation for him. I'm pulling for him if he stays or goes.
He seems to have certainly been loyal to the program but I haven’t seen anything from him that he didn’t play due to playing favorites against him. At this level it takes more than character/loyalty (most instances as favorites examples can certainly be made overall) to start. I can’t see the loser of the Sayin/Noland competition staying.
Every years since the beginning of time there has been a starting quarterback which means someone was his backup. Competitors understand that someone has to lose or be the backup every team has at least 4 quarterbacks on roster that never play it normal
@@keno33141 Will Howard is trash, and they brought him in to take Devins spot...... yall are naive asf if u think they paid Will Howard NIL funds to come to Ohio St, and it was an open competition for the job.
You guys have Sayin, Noland, and now St. Clair coming in. I don’t think it says much other than he was passed up by superior talent, coming from a Michigan fan, lol.
The QBs will compete for QB1 in the spring. At this time, no one can guarantee that Julian Sayin will win the job. A fair-minded open competition should decide the winner, not speculation or favorites of some fans and some members of the media.
Sayin came in as a better QB out of high school, but that doesn't guarantee that Air Noland won't catch up to him and even surpass him. Air Noland was better than Sayin in the spring game. In fact, he was the most impressive QB, both passing and running in the spring game. That was obvious to anyone who saw the game, but it was downplayed or not reported by most in the media.
respect Dev! I feel he should had played against Michigan and sucks last year didn't work out right. There is some young Elite QB's @ Ohio State rn and they are younger, have to keep them and keep the battle open.
AIR NOLAND WAS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE QUARTERBACK IN THE SPRING GAME AND HE HAS THE MOST TALENT AT THE POSITION ON THE CURRENT ROSTER THIS IS CJ STROUD AND HONDA MCCORD WITH SOME PEOPLE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS
Devin Brown will be a baller somewhere. Julian Sayin has to show me more. I haven't been impressed. St. Clair is coming so everyone had better tighten up.
@ScottCleve33 Julian Sayin did not out perform Air Noland in the spring game. Air Noland, in fact, was the most impressive QB of all of them both passing and running in the spring game. Julian Sayin did not have a good spring game.
Why so many injuries on the O line, especially lower leg injuries? Could it be that standing-up to engage in 3 second wrestling matches at the LOS leaves you vulnerable to 200 pound RBs running up your butt and people falling into your legs on the way to the ground? Why does our best blocker appear to be T. Henderson from a man-on-man perspective? To start off, he is shorter more compact like Mclaughlin, so it is not so difficult at getting underneath an opponents pads to find a leverage advantage on contact. Secondly, and most importantly Henderson sets his feet and coils up his body like a coiled steel steel spring, then he rapidly uncoils 200 pounds of fury directly into a defenders chest, hips, or upper thighs. He doesn't just get in the way, he delivers a blow, he is a punisher. Recommendation: lets find the guy who taught Henderson how to block and send him over to Frye.
I figured this would happen. I wish him the best. I wish Day would've given Brown a chance in that Michigan game. Howard was clearly concussed. An investigation needs to happen and im a lifelong buckeyes fan!
Don't be surprised if we start a true freshman st clair he has been part of the program for years going to practices and stuff he lives 30 mins away from campus.
yea but have to keep talent for the future and Sayin/Noland is that with another 5star coming in... DB was loyal and is talented.. No doubt DB should had played against Michigan, I agree.
You said playing at one of the best schools to develop a quarterback at did you watch the Michigan game on November 30th what quarterback wants to come in to play calls like that.
I’m ready for Sayin to start playoff game. Don’t need to see two or three interceptions and pick sixes from Howard. Howard killed us against Michigan. Seems to do it every game
We are going to bring in another QB to compete with Sayin, Nolan and Kienholz. Remember the hype for all three of these guys. We thought All of them were the next St.Clair. Day will spend 50 million again and screw it all up. Again
I disagree. At what point do you start trusting the kids that you recruited? Go get another "experienced" QB, like Howard, and you will lose at least one or two in the QB room. I think Howard is a good dude, but I have not been overly impressed overall. Too many issues in high-pressure games, i.e., Oregon and Michigan. He seems to lack that killer instinct at the end of the game (Oregon), although I will concede that the coaching has been horrible. Howard was only available in the portal because he was not going to start at KSU this season. Only positions that should be looked at in the portal are OL, maybe TE, DL, and maybe LB.
Nope, no one would have beat them w that horrible play calling. That game was given on a silver platter to the wolverines. Worst coached game in the history of "The Game".
@ I got to watch both in person. Underwood is so talented he’s got Detroit rappers and anyone coming out the house to watch him throw the ball. St Clair is an edge rusher trying to play QB. His release is horrible he’s slow to get the ball off. He’s not even in the same class. He’s just big and looks good.
Wish Devin the best! But I have never seen the athleticism that they talked about.
You and everyone else that pays attention.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@DougSheppardSr IT WAS AN OUTRIGHT LIE TO JUSTIFY HIS RECRUITMENT BECAUSE HIS PASSING IS BELOW AVERAGE
@ you don’t have to yell
I really hope the best for Devin! Great kid who just couldn’t get his legs under him.
I’m ready for Air Noland, that kid is nice!
Sayin is well passed him

I believe he will be a back up to Sayin.

I wish Coach Day would’ve let Devin Brown finish the Michigan game. He deserved it.
That Will Howard was indeed hurt in that Michigan game and Brown was not trusted to come in
I was at this past spring game Julian Sayin did not show me anything.
You mean as a highschool senior lmao
The ONLY thing this means is Brown knew he wasn't going to be starter next year
I’m assuming kienholz will probably leave too.
They both should because they are not starters and won't start for a good team. Both should go to Mac or dub 2 schools
Devin Brown was loyal to a program that wasn't loyal to him. He should have transfered last winter
What did they do that was disloyal to him?
@@DougSheppardSrNothing, just another ignorant comment from someone who knows nothing about what’s going on.

Michigan fan here. I didn't know this, significant development. Air Noland has a clear path to the starting job.
Sayin is simply better
Arch Manning is rumored to be a Buckeye
@MichaelWilson-gi3gp there's no way that's happening. He'll stay at Texas and will start next year.

Spend $40M in the portal this year!!!! Maybe you can take TTUN to OT and still lose.
Sanctions are coming Clyde
Brown gave it his all. In my eyes, he'll always be a Buckeye. He didn't run at the first sign of competition. Wish him nothing but respect.
Good for Devin. Best Wishes for him. He needs a QB friendly Coach and Team where he can start Immediately!
Hopefully Arizona State!
In the words of number 10:
"Time for me to step up, ...I'm just Sayin" 😂
What was Devin brown good at?? Where’s his NFL career going?
Don’t sleep on the Ohio kid coming in taken that job as a true freshman
Let's be honest. Devin Brown was just an inexperienced version of Will Howard. He was mobile but his passing was only average.
The OL didn't show up for that game. He wasn't going to play well under those circumstances.
Y'all literally sleeping on Noland!! You already have Sayin starting!!
So far I'm the caps and scrimmages Sayin has outperformed Nolan.

I wonder if Sayin has been getting more reps in bowl practice than Devin.
A recent article indicated that Julian Sayin was on the verge of passing Devin Brown as backup.
IMO they need to open the transfer portal in January. These teams are being depleted for the bowls by opt outs and transfers

Devin needs a fresh start. Best thing for him.
McCord would have had 5000 , yards with buckeye receivers. Haskins like.
He would have 12 picks too, you know like he has now 😂😂🤦♂️
Why didn’t he do that last year when he had the chance?
@ he almost beat out McCord
Lincoln and Air are never seeing the field. This is a Sayin to Tavian QB room. Wouldn’t be surprised if both leave

Devin brown was disrespected during the Michigan game when howard went down

Hartline called sayin the most talented qb he’s seen here so the writing was already on the wall
It's not a big loss. He will be a star with someone else. He was very ouchy

He would be excellent at Wisconsin with Luke fickell
Can we trade one of these quarterbacks for some quality offensive lineman?😂
