- Hi there, I'm Eileen. As a luxury minimalist, I love mixing designer items with high street pieces. In fact, one of the best shopping decisions I've ever made, is having very defined "saves and splurges" for my wardrobe. I might love a good classic luxury bag (especially my Birkin 25!), but I have no qualm pairing it with a high street T shirt. Well, Uniqlo is probably my most loved high street brand and there are certain pieces that I cannot recommend enough. Enjoy xx

I like the vibe of mixing lower priced high street with the occasional luxury item. In my mind, the one or two luxury pieces stand out more than if you were plastered head-to-toe in lux clothes and jewelry. It's also looks more casually elegant.

What a great presentation. Straight to the point and no superfluous chit chat. I am now 81 and live in Australia and am a great fan of Uniqlo. I have bought quite a few knitted pieces in both long and short sleeves. They go well with the jeggings I like to wear. In fact these are my wardrobe staple. The new boxy cashmere/cotton jumpers in jewel colours are fantastic. The colours of the knitted pieces are not showy, and are quite elegant. I look forward to watching your next video.

I really like Uniqlo Rayon blouses. They are machine washable and dries quick so it is also great for traveling. If you have access to MUJI, I like their thermal underwear better than Uniqlo’s. It feels like a cotton shirt but still as warm as Uniqlo’s. Uniqlo is getting pricier in the US so I should stock up when I go to Japan. Thanks for sharing Eileen!

i love their Airism Bra top camisoles/tanks (tops with built in bras) which was recommended many years back by another youtuber who loved it for travel. It's really comfortable. They expanded the range over the years to cropped tops, halter top, tube tops etc. I usually wear it as underneath layering piece for thinner tops or tops with a lower neckline. Also would wear them to go shopping for clothes so that I am not fully bare when trying out clothes in the dressing room.

About one third of my wardrobe is Uniqlo. Especially the long sleeved T-shirt. The banana cross body is by essential bag. It holds everything I need and I don't have to to dig for thngs. I love it so much I have it in tan cordoroy and I want to order it in green.
Hi Eileen, Yes i love Uniqlo's stuff too. The handbag which is like a bump bag is so good. I bought two of it, one for myself and one for my sis and those Uniqlo's T shirt, i have it in many colors too. It is so comfortable and yes in Malaysia for sure. I wore it to the office too and if it is too cold in the office, i can just wear my jacket to also look more put together. Practicality is the key in most of my outfits. I just stumbled on you video and really liked it! Espacially that you mentioned the sanitary underwear. I don't think that many fashion blogger do this tho it's so essantial!
I bought 2 of this bag while in Tokyo recently n so cheap cause it originates from there. I also have been using their underwear/panties but since they’re not stitched some happened to open n had to throw them. I buy their other items too. Good quality n reasonably priced. Glad you did this video.

Thanks for sharing Eileen, and for sharing the sanitary underwear too even though it's personal, it still helps a lot of women! I love Uniqlo too - just wished they were here during my highschool years as they are such good quality clothing with simple designs and huge range of colours!! I now have a huge range of Uniqlo items from tops, to pants, jackets and even that bag but in cream which I took on my overseas trip recently - it fit my outfit perfectly, held a lot and so carefree on rainy days :) xo

I purchased the cross body bag after a friend recommended it to me two months ago in London. I have used it everyday since. It is so well designed that you can find anything you need without having to dig down to the bottom of the bag. It is also comfortable and I like that it hugs your body and doesn't swing around. The perfect bag for travelling.

Lovely video! I am from Norway and thermal tops from Uniqlo has been my go to for years. However, I’ve noticed that they got worse in quality. Is it something you have noticed yourself? I have several tops which are like 7-8 years old and I’ve been wearing them every winter, washing and drying and they look perfect, can’t tell that they aren’t new. However the several new ones I purchased couple years ago looks much worse and have tiny bubbles all over. I wonder if I was just unlucky with those two or the quality really went down.
As a really small woman, I find a lot of their S sizes ill-fitting on me. Unfortunately XS sizes only available online and it's just a hassle to return if ever I end up not liking an item (most often I just don't and they accumulate).
I am currently living in their Mesh bras though! So comfy and packable.

Are you supposed to wear a layer under the thermal top (like a t shirt) or is it supposed to hit your skin? I need to wear them but I also her sweaty very easily so would prefer to have a layer under the thermal shirt so I don’t have to wash it each time I wear due to sweat

The hat is actually cotton and nylon. I was hopeful when you said linen but then I went to the website. Still cute though.
Hi there, I just checked mine, it says it's 42% linen and 58% cotton. I'm not sure if the composition has changed since I made my purchase thought, it's been a few years if not more xx
The t-shirts that are a bit drapey are not sold anymore, or at least I cant find anything similar...
I recently saw a very good dupe of the bag in kaison for half the price. But I didn’t buy it so not sure bout the quality. The look and feel is very similar though.

Do you take vitamin D? I know this is random but covering yourself too much prevents absorption of vitD from the sun and apparently vitD is a very important vitamin that is very deficient in a lot of people.

I don’t think it’s still available. I got mine almost more than 1 yr ago. That’s my favorite T-shirt, unfortunately I didn’t get multiple colors at that time. I could keep buying the same if they continue it. Really hope Uniqlo knows how good that piece is and continue that design.

My problem with Uniqlo is sizing, I’m not skinny and I’m 5’8… sometimes not even the L or XL fit me 😐

Lovely video, I love your content. However isn’t Uniqlo a fast fashion company. Their aim is to make people who already have excess purchase more. For one reason to make money. Do you really need to buy new clothes? Every one I know has more than enough already. Be bold and save the dopamine hit for when your friends compliment you on what a great person you are rather than what a cute bag you just bought. Love to you all x
