I'm so GLAD you reviewed this!! I'm sick of 'influencers' pushing this cream! I did my own research a while ago as my daughter wanted to purchase it because James Charles swears by it. (Sigh). I was stunned by how awful (for lack of a better word) it actually was. Hopefully people will find your review before they waste their money!! Thank you again, so much, for your invaluable advice!!

I too am tired of influencers pushing the products that don't work or have no role for us. One of the big ones I hear from someone is how they used Retin-A above their eyes and it took care of their hooded eyes, wrong wrong wrong. They try to make you think a product worked when they really had plastic surgery.

I was like.....GIRL, PLEASE!! I never watched her again. Its just tiring when you have teenagers that take what they say as gospel. They have a massive influence over young people and, from what I can see, they just take advantage of it. My daughter IS getting more savvy, but some of her friends are just a nightmare!! I keep telling them: RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!! Its all out there if you're willing to go look for it!! They should know better, they've just finished their first year of Uni, my daughter doing law!! I wonder when they get to the part about how, just because someone says it, it doesn't make it true??!!!! I've just recently discovered Dr Dray and I'm turning them all on to her. The other day they were all talking about dry shampoo.......I had just watched the video on scalp care so I was able to point them to it lol. Britt Fansler she’s not saying it’s a complete waste of a product. She literally listed the good ingredients in the products. She’s saying you can find products that will give you the same results for half the cost minus all the shit ingredients. It’s a simple equation...great ingredients minus the crap for less money. Inferior ingredients aren’t justifying the price.

Lindsay Leslie I pay no more than £20 & the ingredients are all great? Ferments, ceramides, peptides, no alcohol or fragrance/essential oils/dyes ect... there are good/bad, affordable/luxury formulas everywhere so to say one type of product is useless because of the not so great formulas is wrong, especially if so many people have experienced success with it!

    • @Dangerfloof684
      @Dangerfloof684 4 года назад +6

PeachesLenoir I was more referring to this specific brand being overpriced and not worth it. She’s a medical doctor so I’m sure she knows her stuff, but I do think personal experience speaks for itself as well. I know I’ve changed my skincare, but I did the silly thing by changing up too many products at once so I had no idea what was working and what wasn’t needed. Too many variables working against me. So now I use/replace one thing at a time to ensure I make the right decisions.

Dr. Dray, I don't know if I speak for your other fans but I would love to see a video talking more about persistent redness (due by virtue of rosacea, or other rarer skin disorders), and perhaps skin tone/undertones. I have the right skincare routine (a conjunction of Differin, Finacea, Sunscreen, and pretty much nothing else), have done IPL, yet my face is still a bit pink and blotchy (has been essentially from birth) and I don't know why (it's not a port wine stain as it's very mild). Thanks for the wisdom as always - it's really revolutionary and extremely helpful to have this kind of information at our fingertips. :-)

    • @iancrawford4559

The reason I emphasize having a video on skin tone is because I believe producers/advertisers for skincare brands (as well as the media in general) trick people into thinking that even flawless skin tone is the "norm". It has led to me having pretty low self-esteem in general despite my friends and family claiming that I have really good skin. I desperately want to know if having an uneven skin tone is normal and what are its implications if any. Thanks!

I admit I have been to sephora so many times to buy Tatcha products.. not to deny.. their packaging is gorgeous......Nevertheless Dr Dray to the RESCUE ❤❤ Cerave in the tub and Hada Labo products are worth the money.. They are Bomb products for dry skin.. Hands down the best I have used so far.. Happy Vlogtober Dr Dray..

I just ordered two Tatcha products yesterday, because I am looking for an eye cream to help with my puffy eyes. About an hour later I discovered this channel--no lie! I'm hooked, and those products are going to go back unopened. Thanks for clearing up the 'clean beauty' hype, helping us understand what is good to put on our skin, and giving us suggestions for the best products.

SO I use Tatcha religiously and it's the only thing that hasn't broken me out. In fact, it's pretty much cleared my acne and has made the overall texture of my skin the best it's ever been. I do agree that some of it is very expensive and can be swapped out for cheaper alternative items, but the rice powder will forever be in my skincare regimen.

Seriously?...I don't know when most of you girls will learn anything you ask her to review this and that and this brand that brand...but all you have to do is watch about 10 of her videos to know what she will or will not like or recommend.
If a product or line has fragrance, AHA, Vit C, Papain or botanicals or all of the above she will not rec them so just read the ingredient lists and you will know
She believes in a well-balenced cream with moisturizing properties emollient and occlusive...shes not big on oils, toner, emulsion or even eye cream...shes not keen on exfoliation physical or chemical...and really thats about it!
If you want her to review a brand or product that contains any or is one of the things I mentioned above she likely won't approve...simple as that.

I tried a sample of the tatcha water cream, and holy crap did it ever irritate my skin. My skin became extremely itchy almost immediately, and It felt like my skin had a film on it like it didn’t soak into my skin. The fragrance was so strong that it actually affected my asthma. I hated this cream.... I would never buy it.

Love Tatcha products! My skin has never looked and felt better. I measure my satisfaction by actual results, and I am very pleased with the results. I also have used CeraVe, Hada labo, Cetaphil, etc. and just haven't seen the visible changes equal to Tatcha. I use sunscreen every day - without fail - since that is the most important anti-aging product any of us can use! BTW, I have sensitive, acne prone skin and rosacea. Love these videos and appreciate your point of view.

You have to remember that she is going off of her training and science, not personal experience. There will always be the exception.
For me, she is pretty on point. Nothing has ever worked for my skin except extremely mild, fragrance free products and tretinoin.
Although I can’t use sunscreen like most people do. It burns the hell out of my skin and leaves my cheeks red, swollen, painful and puffy.

As a makeup wearer all setting sprays have alcohol in them because it does set the makeup and make it last longer as well as melt the products together to make them look more skin like and not so heavy. However, the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is said to have less than normal because it is supposed to make you dewy, not matte. That's why it's used on normal to dry skin and not on oily people like me. Regardless, I like to keep alcohol away from my face as much as possible so I prefer using a rose toner spray to melt all of my makeup into the skin.
