  • Sorry about the low-quality match video---I forgot to have my stage run recorded, and someone else was kind enough to send me what they got on their phone. Hopefully you can still see enough!
Most of the time, in IDPA, you use emergency reloads--you run the gun dry, drop the mag, slap in a new one, and move on. Often you can just burn a couple of extra rounds on an array so you can hit that reload while you move to the next array. But every once in awhile, a tactical reload is useful, and can save you time. Here's an example of one of those cases.

I am more concerned about a big guy in a kilt coming up behind you! Lol!

So few people understand the advantage of developing a good tac reload, and are afraid of them. I practice the crap out of them. HUGE advantage. Don’t tell everyone the secret.

CDP, 45acp , how many mags can you carry on top of the one in the gun?

In CDP, you can carry two additional magazines each loaded with 8 rounds.

Where do you stow? Front pocket?

Yep, front pants pocket. I used to use a vest pocket, but....there was always just a little too much vest movement when I'm moving quickly. Pants pocket is always in the same spot, so it was more consistent.

@@PrecisionResponse thanks!! I'm drilling tac reloads, I've tried to get them back in the mag holster, but when you miss, you miss horribly, lol.
My Jean's pocket, even if half hardly put in, they seem to slip down the rest of the way. Thank you, I've subscribed, IDPA is kinda new to me, so looking forward to more content.
