Hell no you guys have skills to ride King Kong. Blake was crazy seeing you jump on that trail but the footage was just fantastic thank you and glad your ok!💪
@@sokrebis Not necessarily. Few years ago, when I went of the trail and crashed 30+ mph in to a rock garden the first thing I did after the crash was to ask from my buddy "Is my bike ok?". I ended up to get a ride from ATV and ambulance to the nearest hospital and had surgery next morning. Luckily, I only had strained neck/upper back and broke a collarbone that now has a lot of metal on it. Without a proper protection (fullface helmet, elbow, back, shoulder, knee etc. protections) the results would have been much worse. The bike suffered few scratches on handlebar and fork. :D
Showing how shaken you were was awesome, honest. Looked scary af. Pads are definitely where it's at, collect them all! Glad you're safe to ride another day! 🤘
Ben Deakin calling Olly Wilkins a bell-end after the "just roll it" had me in stitches when it was originally posted, and I still laugh every time I think about it. That crew of mates are special, especially Olly.✌
This is the difference of a true athlete over the rest of us who is intune with his surroundings. Blake pushed the eject button at the perfect monent . This is what stunt actors do . With a place that is made up of rock blake found a sandpit to land in .
Blake your f***ing amazing. I love watching your videos. The entertainment value is incredible. You’re a top man for attempting these trails and providing us with top notch entertainment. ❤. I’m so glad that you didn’t end up hurting yourself.
I gave this video a like only because Blake and Tom are safe. Geez, I can't imagine how scary that was, how much worse it could have been, and how your families must feel watching.
Fantastic video guys, it just goes to show how "next level" these guys n gals really are. And AWSOME sound track (I watched with big headphones on). Kudos to the editing team.
Glad you are safe Blake! Thanks for doing a video on protective gear - even if it was an ad. I would like to see more about protective gear. As I get more bold with my mountain biking I am taking more risks. Things like chest protectors, neck protectors, knee and elbow pads, can all get quite expensive. Additionally, there are so many choices and variations on this equipment. A guide breaking down the pros and cons of various bits of protective gear could help some of us stay safer and make the right investments in appropriate safety kit. Thanks a ton for reading!
In my experience it's also quite a bit of trial and error. Everyone is different and not every gear fits you like it should. Knee pads or a chest protector for example. It also depends on what you are riding. For a bike park you need different gear than for a normal trail ride or an enduro race. And let's be honest, mountainbiking in general is just expensive so it won't be cheap.
I had many crashes, but had one 2 months ago and it was horrific. I always did ride bravely, but this time is when i realized man this is not worth it. I could be looking at career ending crashes. I love going to gym and other stuff and love mtb. But the crash put some sense into my head. Luckly i ended with bruises, light concusion and pain, but i was literally 2-3 cm away from breaking all my fingers, ribs, knee etc. I will still do mtb, but i wont take risks anymore. This sht aint worth my handicapped bones. Stay safe bro.
Yeah with the correct equipment and bike why not take care blake we Wish you all the best Man i Always enjoy your videos and all the team you are the best of RUclips
Fair play to you Blake but talking about protecting, how about some elbow pads. I can’t imagine those rocks would be very forgiving if you hit your elbow on one of them 😮
That Eject sequence move is something that must be familiar to dirt jumpers, knowing its gone wrong and ejecting with that crazy legs spread move! Full arm pads and chest\back seem pretty mandatory for those huge lines with big consequences! at least had some stuff on!
The High School Mountainbike team in St. George used to be called the Flying Monkeys. They were a combination of all the schools there but got so big that each school ended up with their own team.
Hard core Blake. That section claims another rider. Ben, matt jones x2? And yourself, given the three of you have more skill in your little toes compared to my whole body, I’m gonna pass on ever attempting that one. Glad you’re okay mate.
Should've.......... Just rolled that one! The operative word for the Rampage lines.... SMOOTH! Blake should enter next year! He's a dirt jumper, rides a single crown and, I suppose, technically he's not a European - so should win it!?
Would you try 'King Kong'? What's the craziest trail you've ridden?
Not sure what's the craziest, this or treasure trail? At least it's dry in the desert 😅
Probably a red in the Lake District
No

Blake for Rampage 25!
Yo!!!
😂 that location is no joke. Naaaaa 😅
U can dooo it!!!
I love King Kong. Always sketchy as hell
Of course on a Hardtail 💁🏿♂️
When something looks that intimidating on a GoPro, you can only imagine what it’s like in person.
That startled "where's my bike?" got me 😂
You know that rider is OK if he is asking for a bike. If not, then ask for medical assistance immediately
Think it was shock kicking in. People assume I’m good after a wreck because I’m cracking jokes, but I’m trying to cover how freaked out i am. 😀
@@danh925Indeed a coping mechanism.

Blake does all his own stunts 🤘
He does indeed!
Wasn’t expecting Tom’s comment on the difficulty of Kong v Rampage 😂 Sheds an interesting light on Brendog being robbed…..
Tom Isted! 🔥💪 Respect for walking away for your second run! The conditions were crazy! 💨😮
Huge respect! At least Tom managed to finish his first run and get a score, hopefully we'll see him riding Rampage next year 🔥
The dude did well.
Man rocking King Kong in short sleeve T-shirt 😄 your crazy, but epic amount of respect, true mounting biking 🤟
To be fair he live in England, so this would be hot summers day for them, but drier.
Thanks very much
It’s a hell of a trail dude.
Blake is a savage, short sleeves, where's my bike. Glad your okay man. I wouldn't be able to pass the entrance exam of jumping the fence.
Haha it's quite a high fence! It's nice and sunny out in the desert so Blake was just topping up the tan 😎
Thanks dude. I’m all good, got away with that one for sure

😂😂 so good. I had to stop and check out the “you can roll it” drop 😂😂
😂😂😂😅
TI had a monster run on his first go and had the BIG BRAIN to not try that gap in the wind. Those guys are legends ,top to bottom.
So glad Blake survived! Genuinely heart in mouth watch!

At the start I'm thinking why abus, they're a lock brand. By the end, thank god for abus!
Utah riding is no joke!
congrats Blake, now you have a second birthday! 🎉
Glad you are ok bro, scared me so much, take care, we love you, you are a national treasure in 2 countries

Blake’s an awesome rider, but after talking through Tom Isted’s kit and protection, I thought he’d wear the same. Lucky man!

Wow! Incredible ride. Glad you're okay Blake. Total respect!
He's very lucky it was a nice soft landing! But some incredible riding from both Blake and Tom!
All good thanks dude. Glad I didn’t fall off the next cliff 😅
Blake being a real mountain biker by worrying about his bike more than himself
Hahaha I thought it had fallen off the next cliff 😅
Had to put on my helmet to watch this. So glad everything was OK. Great content
Glad you’re good Blake!

A single-crowned fork on a non-downhill bike is seriously underbiked for that trail. Glad you're alive!
I cannot believe you just walked away from that one. I'm sure it all hurt in the morning, though.
Wow glad you're ok Blake
You know it's going to be gnarly when Blake says a trail is not graded or sanctioned 😮
of Abus to help out

Can’t wait for the other Utah video’s 😄💪🏾🤙🏾
Blake has the biggest balls, the first test was on the tandem if he survived that rampage is a walk in the park.
Good lord that’s terrifying. Glad you’re okay Blake!
Rampage reminds me of those extreme skiers in Chamonix. Not a whole lot of skiing, a whole lot of prep and then a whole lot of falling out of the sky.
This video is out, so you obviously survived to make and edit this video, but effing-ay! Real sweaty palms stuff! Glad you're still here, Mr. Samson!
I was so shocked when I saw Blake at rampage for the first time 😂
That was scary, glad to see you are ok and in good spirits.
Man, man, man, that was close 😑 bit further left and.. glad you are unharmed!
Hey welcome to my beautiful state happy to see you guys here!!!
