My first silver purchase was from JM Bullion and i bought a 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 5, and a 10oz because I was GREEN and wanted to see what each looked like LoL
Pretty much the same in Canada. I DONT buy Eagle!!! I HAD MANY but sold most when the premium was HIGH.. turned 1 oz. into 2!!! I stack Maples mostly. I LIKE 10 oz. RCM bars also and Stack them as well!
Literally just bought a tube of 2023 eagles from Monument Metal for $200 less than APMEX, and less than JD & SD. I know, they’re typically higher than others but not by much in my experience plus they’re what I’m used to and trust. I decided to try Monument Metal based off the ratings and reviews. If you’ve dealt with them ping your experience please….first time jitters lol. Anyways, Eagles are typically higher but once I needed to liquidate and it was the eagles that yielded the highest so theirs that.
I frequently mention and buy from Monument Metals. Excellent experience and often best pricing. Apmex, JM and SD all charge more because they have influencers to pay.
I agree with you. Our one ounce silver rounds will be accepted by vendors and they will have constitutional for change. However, I do feel a lot of people will get short changed because the constitutional silver contents are a nightmare to keep up with. Myself included would need a cheat sheet to keep up with the silver contents of dimes, quarters, halves and silver dollars. Then they’ll throw the 40 percent in the mix. Headache time lol. The gov didn’t make it easy when they made silver. Gold either. I bet if you pay for an item with a 10 ounce silver bar, you gonna be hard pressed to get a Morgan or peace dollar back. Even tho it’s .7735 silver they are $30 for a cull. That’s $38.78 an ounce!
MY numismatic purchasing rule. ONLY consider coins containing gold or silver. Currently the way the price of bullion seems to be going you'll eventually have the metal in the shape of an antique coin for free. At least up to a certain collectable value...
People don't have $400 savings for emergencies because they waste it on Starbucks and other needless expenses. That doesn't mean that can't get by cutting back or saving for a few months.
@@CampbellsCoins I agree with you 100%. Been stacking since 2009. I was one of those people before I was introduced to precious metals. Now I have a years worth of food and 6 months worth of living expenses saved in gold and silver. 😉 got most of it one oz at a time.
I agree with your list bro. Not listing 90% is a bit surprising but I see your viewpoint. Very logical. I definitely love my numismatic slabs. As for the CAC stickers, I just sent an AU58 Seated with a CAC in hopes of getting a MS61. I should know in a few days. I know I took a gamble. Lol. Great video bro.
Yeah it kind of pained me to keep 90 off but many of those can fall into the collectible coin slot, especially Barbers, Walking Liberties and Morgans. Good luck man! A two grade jump is a tough ask. Send me some photos on IG, I want to see it! Appreciate your support bro. 🍺
@@CampbellsCoins It is a lot to ask, I agree. But every one of my seated liberties is a PCGS MS. So my OCD is requiring my 20C to also be PCGS MS. If I don’t get it, I’ll sell it and buy one. Lol.
Milk spots are a way to verify your silver is real and if it's generic silver it shouldn't decrease the value any but i do see your point on the silver eagle coins
FYI: if you haven't already, there's a 3 part interwiew with the U.S. Mint's director of the ASE program on the road to roota channel. It's absolutely wild. Be interested to hear your reaction.
I disagree with the junk silver assessment. SHTF is low on the list for me and maybe demand is regional, but in the Phoenix metropolitan area it's very popular, often hard to get. If there's big demand, I don't care why someone is buying it, I can sell it. Additionally, it gets more rare over time. I'm not interested in learning enough about collectable and most folks don't know enough about it, making it harder to sell. That being said, I don't have that much of it.
I agree kilo bars are the best for the buck and yeah I’m also a Ase guy but been on the maple kick since November 2021 due to the premiums on ase but hoping those premiums will drop. Keep up the great videos bro 😎👊🏻🇺🇸
They are but I’ve noticed that they aren’t easy to sell. On silver forum you can see how people struggle to sell certain items and smaller bars go a lot faster for a higher premium.
Probably check out the coin bubble of the 80s. PCGS settled for millions out of court against charges of shilling their own auctions. The same man is now responsible for the cartridge game bubble now.
Personally biased against Queen, but got over it when I was able to get Maples as cheap or cheaper than generic rounds. Likewise with Philharmonics. Keep up the good work!
I wish we had the variety of silver coins/rounds you have in your side of the world. We only have bars… don’t get me wrong i love bars, but i want some of the rounds you have there. Great video
Silver coins is no full VAT in Poland, only VAT on margin (A variation of the tax) because formally they are currency (fiat money). Full VAT we have to silver bar.
I'm not smart. I'll stick with 10 oz RCM bars and maple leafs and whatever ASEs that are low enough. I do suggest taking a hard look at Libertads and the Perth Lunar Series. I regret getting the proof ATB and State quarters, rolls of them.
Those are good choices! Libertads are nice but niche. I like them but know many who aren't fans. Lots going for them though, extremely low mintages, BU, proof and reverse proof finishes. I've never sold mine to a dealer and would be curious how much over spot I'd receive if any. Private party sales would mitigate this issue.
What are the odds, my German Shepherd has surgery and your story (about silver) shows up with a mention of your furry buddy having surgery. Hope he's around for a long long time.
This was good. Scenarios for "what ifs" are all over the place. It's really just a gamble as to what may be valuable in the future and what is not. Thank you sir.
I found my tube of Barbers just this last week and it rekindled my love for them. Such a unique design. Most of mine are very slick but there are a few in VF and XF condition. Very expensive. It's surreal having a very used Barber still valued at $400, simply because 700 remain.
I’ve found a few Barber halves with my metal detector. Talk about awesome when you see one of those glistening in the dirt. Silver comes out of the ground looking like the day it was dropped. I’ve also found a few Barber quarters and lots of dimes.
Buying collectables is a waste of time!!! Just wait and an oz. WILL be worth just an oz. oneday.....SOON!!!.....I sold most of mine!!! Just like how I sold my Eagles!..Ive been buying/Stacking Silver AND Gold for YEARS!!!
That's a good point. It depends on the type. Barbers are a smart buy no matter the condition. Franklins are less numismatic...for now. Thanks for watching!
Not a fan of the small bars but you should do what makes you happy. In a real low silver demand period, the popular pieces keep on selling while the not so popular ones don't.
I have been stacking bullion and collecting numismatics for over twenty years and though there is obviously overlap, I see them as two different things. My bullion purchases are most always based on premiums , and the deals available at any given time, while collectible coins are either searched out or stumbled across.
2 oz coin featuring the Queen brilliantly as the limited mintage of 500 authorized numbered copies of Leonardo da Vinci's Salvador Mundo is framed in guilded in GOLD .
Best of both Worlds in my opinion would be the Reverse Proof Libertad. In the Kilo size adds that extreme scarcity to the exceptional beauty. Look for years of 200 max mintage and add time. Legacy pieces, yes
@@CampbellsCoins That is an impossible question, rather it would require a much longer response than I wish to put in the comments, because I have favorites in all of the sub groups I collect in. I have some pride joys that are perhaps put on that pedestal because of the hunt for deals on rare coins I have my sights on, like my 1938 Australian Crown for example, but I may actually obtain the ultimate, for me, a 1652 Pine Tree Shilling. I still live in a New England seacoast town 400 years after my GreatX Grandfather William of Ipswich arrived. A friend of mine, who's roots also go very far back , has one and I will lighten my load significantly in order to buy it, if he agrees to sell.
You don't. The honesty of a seller. I wish CAC had a data base of all the coins they received based on the individual holder number but I don't think they do. They would lose money if people knew because they wouldn't try submitting.
Good list. I think you would be in a more unique position amongst stacking channels to bring your experience with PCGS coins into more of your educational content.
Extremely new, but why on the usmint site they have the eagle coin for this year it was 75$ i believe for the 1oz silver coin. Why are other eagles online like 35$ ish? Do they eventually settle down in price after release?
Different finishes, mintages and speciality items selling for $75 versus $35. Regular minted bullion doesn't sell for that rate. It depends on the mintage and finish. Some drop in value and others go up.

Monument Metals is great. Never had a problem.
That's my go to LCS, Bold Metals is the other.
Makes you wonder how they are able to sell for $8 or $9 less than everyone else.
I frequently mention and buy from Monument Metals. Excellent experience and often best pricing. Apmex, JM and SD all charge more because they have influencers to pay.
Simply, they don't have an affiliate program like the other dealers, so they don't have to charge more.
