Hi Cysters! In this video, I talk all about the different types of intermittent fasting and how to find a style of fasting that's right for your PCOS type! Let me know in the comments what your experience with intermittent fasting was!
I really want to try this. But my cravings won’t let me I am always hungry and never full. It’s hard out here. And I take all my supplements even inositol and cannot shed a pound
With PCOS, just quitting alcohol, intermittent fasting and regular movements, I'm losing a kilogram a day. I was 100.9 at the beginning of this week, now I'm at 96.6
Every single PCOS symptom I had went away when I started intermittent fasting. Even having a period every single month, which has NEVER happened in my whole life. (I started at age 40, now I'm 45). My borderline diabetes went away and I also lost 20 pounds. The hunger gets easier every single day until it's nothing.
I have inflammation and insulin resistance real bad. Before fasting, I was the snack queen! I would snack and eat anything throughout the day and night. I have been fasting for just over a month now. I am doing 16:8. I also started doing 6000 steps a day, drinking spearmint tea and inositol daily. So far, I am feeling good! My mood stability is improved. I have more energy. I notice my cravings are less. Every day seems a little easier. I wish I had tried this sooner. I lost 11 lbs so far. I hope my libido and fertility will improve as well.
I started fasting 8 hours from about 3-4 days out of the week. It’s been a month since I started. I got my period for the first time in a year this week. I feel so normal for the first time in years. My cravings changed. I’ve been craving more healthier foods, wanting to feed my body right. My sugar cravings have also decreased. I’ve noticed that when I get off my fast, I get fuller from eating less. So many benefits.
It’s so crazy that you mentioned the period thing. I started fasting about two and a half weeks ago and my period started for a day and then stopped for two and now it’s back on… I definitely think me fasting for 16 hours is what does the trick
Thank you for this video! I have been intermittent fasting (16:8) for 1.5 yrs now and have PCOS (diagnosed last week). Fasting helped me lose weight and be less bloated. I also like that I don't have to make time for breakfast or think about what I'll eat and have more time for just me in the morning.
I have PCOS and my type is Insulin Resistance. I really liked your videos from TikTok and here in RUclips. I am actually considering doing intermittent fasting but I only work during the NIGHT which I always feel hungry and only seat during the whole work. Hoping this intermittent fasting would work for me!
Hi Cysters!!! I tried intermittent fasting for three months and LOVED it!!!! My main reason I started it was because I had no energy. I noticed doing this gave me so much energy. I had no clue about doing it for 12hrs until I saw a video on RUclips. I was doing it for 16 hours. I honestly had no down falls about fasting, just with my schedule for work it was hard to keep going.
I’ve been doing intermittent fasting since May, and it has helped me drop 30 lbs as well as keeping my blood sugar low. I do about 12-14 hours every day, but that’s what’s worked for me.
I started this variation of intermittent fast 18:6 and 24 hours fast in between so every Tuesday. Thursday and Saturday I do a 24 hour fast.. Been almost three weeks I started.. And I can see great results especially when it comes to controlling my cravings and I tend to feel full naturay eating lesser.. I must say it feels good
I didnt even know that I was intermittently fasting, I had just told myself that I wouldnt eat 4h before bed. And waking up, I'd exercise on an empty stomache or else I'd always get nauseaus as hell. So all of a sudden, I had an eating window of 8-12h and a fasting window of 12-16h and many things just became sooo much easier. Training. Weight loss. Energy. It helped a lot. I reached a point where I had definitely fixed insulin issues and weight as well. That's when I should have stopped and just eaten without restriction while slowly adding in back some carbs. I didnt do that, and it had pretty huge repercussions for me. But other than that: during my healing journey it had always been a miracle cure
I've been intermittent fasting (16:8 Sunday - Thursday and 13 Friday-Saturday) paired with being grain-free for over a year now and it has absolutely changed my life. I have been trying to manage my PCOS for 25 years and have NEVER seen such drastic improvement in my symptoms. I'm not suggesting this lifestyle is for everyone, nor that you need to do it to see results (everyone is different), but it has been amazing for me.
Since you're so passionate about educating about Pcos,Id like to add fasting longer hours like 18-20 hours daily improves Pcos I have it n have been doing this n read a lot about fasting longer hours n hormonal balance n turns out the insulin sensitivity naturally improves n the cortisol effects seem to have much less impact when insulin levels are low which helps in the long run massively so your body won't respond to cortisol as strongly n the hormonal balance comes on track better
I started this only 2 months back n I've lost 3kgs so far n i think we should be consistent with it n the body will eventually slowly start rebalancing n hormone levels will come back to normal
I've been doing this for 4months now. I've skipped breakfast. Just drink water whenever I feel hungry. I've started eating @12pm for lunch and dinner 6pm to 7pm. Then after that I don't eat anything. It's easier for me to skip breakfast than dinner ..For me, this the best time for eating cause you don't feel hungry at night and you can sleep well.😊 In just a week, I already lost weight.
I've been fasting 16hrs a day and i feel energised like never before! Having my regular periods now. But now planning to do 3days 16hrs fast and 4days 12hrs fast just to experiment.
This video was perfect timing as I wanted to know if you recommend fasting for PCOS! Thanks for all of the information. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, but I think I have had it for many years. A couple of years ago I suddenly lost weight and I didnt really know why (and I kept it off until after getting on then off birth control). Recently, I've had a feeling it was related to intermittent fasting because I again had results fasting one year ago by simply tracking my fasting hours through an app. I have high hopes for starting the fasting again! I also want to add that I will be incorporating weight training and plenty of protein in my diet this time around. I think that was something I was lacking previously.
I’ve been unintentionally fasting 14 hours for years now but I was eating like 3,000-3,500 calories of crap everyday and of course gained a ton of weight. Since I started keto I lost 100 lbs in a year (60 in the first 4 months) and I do OMAD for a day or two a few times a month and it works great! I just eat a lunch of about 1,000 calories and if I can I take a nap or lay down right after lol and it kinda slows the digestion and I’m fuller longer but either way it’s so-able to just skip dinner and eat again around lunch the next day.
My sister had a PCOS plus endometriosis, And also she had a huge financial breakdowns, since 1 year she only having a breakfast at 8am then dinner at 10 pm that's it, guys just today I saw her reports everything is absolutely normal, PCOS ran away trust me😢
Hey! Why are there conflicting viewpoints about intermittent fasting? The internet seems to say that intermittent fasting and a ketogenic diet is horrible. I am not sure what to believe. Healthline, for example recommends eating regularly throughout the day to reduce insulin.
So I had gestentional diabetes and I had to eat regularly to keep blood sugar down. They even had me eat a rice cake with peanut butter before bed to control morning blood sugars
Loved this video! Before I even knew I had PCOS my then bf got me into fasting 12-20 hours depending on how I felt and it kept me full of energy without any cravings! My meals were more than enough to keep me full. I think I’ve been doing it for almost a year now, but I fluctuate in how long I fast due to my hectic schedule. Fasting, no matter the length of time I did it helped regulate my period a lot. I used to miss it for 3 months in a row or more and now I’m very consistent ☺️ I just now started fasting and trying to be GF - but this is hard 🥲
I just got diagnosed with PCOS and my main symptoms is extreme hunger and fatigue due to insulin resistance. I tried intermittent fasting and I almost dont have any cravings anymore and don't go hungry most of the times. I also have more energy than the times where i eat 3 times a day
If your menopausal you can fast as long as you want ! There’s an adaptation phase so don’t give up on fasting 16 plus hours ! It takes time to adapt to .
Thank you so much for this! I have been looking for information about intermittent fasting and pcos, but couldn't find much. However I did start 16:8 fasting as a everyday schedule. I don't think I have lost weight yet but at least fasting helped me to break the cycle of eating chocolate and other candies way too much 🙈 I am wondering though if it would be better to keep the fast on 12-14 hours as per what you said on the video. Thanks again and greetings from Finland 🇫🇮 😊
Well I have insulin resistance and adrenal fatigue but fasting is only thing that works ! And a short 12 hour fast does nothing for me ! I have to do 16-20

start with one thing .. When this happens to me, I make a list of few things I HAVE to follow, like having a spearmint tea twice a day, forcing myself to sleep early etc .. I made a list ,followed it religiously and got my period back after it went missing for 6 months.. I didnt concentrate too much on weight loss initially, now I'm on 16:8 IF journey I'm losing weight but I'm very cautious of losing my periods so threading the waters carefully.. I make sure to get enough carbs , protein n veggies in my diet..
Yes, you should not do intermittent fasting for more than i guess 3months...if you lose weight during intermittent fasting then after that you can go to your daily routine but you should've return to your old lifestyle though
Try slow weighted strength training, have protein diet meals, drink 2 to 3 litres of water. And mainly the most important is to stay on a calorie deficit consistently. Follow it religiously you will definitely lose fat from the body
I’m going to TRY to do this fasting schedule: Monday-Friday 18:6 (12pm-6pm) then Saturday and Sunday 16:8 (10am-6pm).. I changed the weekend so I can still enjoy a breakfast at a regular time on the weekends. I’ll be supplementing with a women’s probiotic, Vitamin D3/K2, magnesium, salmon oil, Coq10, NAC and Myo Inositol/D Chiro 40:1 ratio… also walking at least 2 miles daily on my walking pad while I watch my TV shows and yoga for strength training. We will see!
I will be happy if you make a video with PCOS home to get pregnant I think you should shoot a video like that so others can see painting a video like how to help a lot of woman conceived
Hi cysters! May i ask if its okay to take ovasitol at the same time taking METFORMIN 2X A DAY? HAD A PLAN TO APPLY THIS FASTING METHOD AND WANTTO TRY OVASITOL AT6PM PLS. NOTICE ME THANK YOU!!😘
Go to an ayurvedic doctor..he will prescribe you medicine..but pls dont use allopathy it will worsen your conditionUse kanchnar kashaya, masturin syrph ,gnil tablets for pcos I have fully cured my pcos in just two months...all these are ayurvedic medicines and have no sidef

@@dikshagiri780 thank you so much 💗
When I was working, I inadvertently did IF. i lost 10 lbs in 2 months. Might go back to that, but a 14/10.
And I got pregnant after 4 mths. 🙈
I’ve actually got a couple of videos on fertility and PCOS on the channel page! ❤️
