    Elin, you may be the most patient person I have witnessed on youtube. Requiescat in Pace for your friend and best wishes in your endeavors.

    Our condolences to your loss, Elin. It sounds like you were very fortunate to have had this person in your life. The bonnet and grill look great and so do the stainless ducts. Thanks for the update.

      Thanks Bruce! He was the one who taught me everything about metal, electrical, plumbing and even construction. We've built and repaired many things together when I was almost a kid. As his apprentice, I learned many things about life and work ethics as well. He was like a father to me, God bless him!

      Can't wait to see the TR6 in works, big brother. I like the Mustang a lot, but you know the Triumphs are in my heart :)

    Hi Elin, I know you have to get the TR6 out of the way first, and it's still great to watch by the way but I just don't feel the same about that car as I wasn't there from the beginning like I was with the GT6, I hope you'll be able to get back to it soon.

      Yeah, I miss my GT6 too, but the TR6 was in the shop way before the GT6. I will be back on it soon.

    Elin, very sorry for the loss of your friend. I'm sure he'll be riding with you in the passenger seat. Nice work on the 73-6. Although I want to keep my 75 original, I'd love to get rid of the rubber bumpers. Do you know if they can be removed without an issue?

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  6 лет назад

      Yes, they can be easily removed but will live a hole in the bumper, which can be filled up with a nice chrome bolt for example. Sometimes the bumper underneath the rubber is in a different condition than the rest of the bumper though. Sometimes better sometimes worse, but sometimes it is OK. We have the rubber on our 74 TR6 bumpers, but when we took it out the bumpers looked OK underneath,.

    First time I've seen the rubber bushings for the grill. I'm missing those on mine..

    I use the “emergency “ release all the time. Partly because I have a RHD, but mainly because it’s a straight-pull, and much easier to use than that twisted cable-run of the original cable.

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  6 лет назад

      Yeah, it is really nice to be able to pop the hood from either side of the car :) Unlike my Spitfire where I have to go to both sides of the car every time I want to open the hood :)

  • @ericgeisen4090

    The emergency release cable is critical as I know from experience. It is no fun when you are on a mountain somewhere in Swiss and you cannot open the bonnet....

      LOL. I didn't have this experience, but I've heard about it so I'd better take measures in advance :)

    elin, you forgot the trim piece that goes under the grill

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  6 лет назад

      Oh wow! I never knew there was a trim there. I just looked it up and you are right! There should be a finisher, which I don't have. Thanks for that. I will have to get one :)

      And the metalwork behind the grille should be painted black on the front face.

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  6 лет назад

      Well I am not sure I will go that far and paint the metalwork, but I definitely have to take the grill out again and install a trim which I don't have LOL
