    I had to laugh in the middle of the video when you said, "This is my third Tree Runner," because I'm on my 3rd set of trees right now (the first, thought I could just whip these trees out--and, they are cute, but a number of little errors adds up to an over-all not-so-precise *wonky trees!* ).
    These are darling in real life so one does tend to want 'near perfection in the *designed wonkiness.* Thus, I appreciate the careful attention you pay to the *tiny details* of measuring and cutting that, if applied to the creation of these trees, makes all the difference in how they turn out! Thank you!

    FABULOUS VIDEO! Love how clear & articulate your instructions are. I’ve watched several tutorials on this pattern & they ALL made it very confusing. Your instructions are precise & to the point. THANKS SO MUCH! I plan to make these into a quilt in greens & browns for every day use. So Excited!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for your very specific instructions about cutting the straight edged pieces into tumblers! That information made the pattern suddenly make sense to me! And, then I was rolling along!

    I hesitantly picked up this pattern at my local quilt shop. I almost didn't purchase it as it requires a Spider Web ruler. However, the owner of the shop, a dear friend, loaned me her ruler. Thanks to her generosity and your fabulous video, not only was I successful, but I purchased the ruler and enough reds and greens to make at least five more runners for Christmas! Your clear instructions, transparency with your own experience and advice all contributed to a fabulous learning experience. Thank you so very much! By the way, I'm sharing a link to your video on my blog this coming Sunday (4/23/23)!

    This is a great video. Thank you. I took a class and the instructor had only made the pattern once before and couldn't remember what she had been taught. Then she tried to demonstrate truing up the blocks using mine and cut off too much so my trees will not have peaks at the top 😔. I've thrown the whole project into a box but maybe I'll try again after watching your great video. Thanks so much.

    Great video. I ordered my pattern and ruler yesterday and can't wait to get started but I'm wondering if I can shrink down the size of the completed trees? I want to make placemats with 2 trees on each but they seem like they'd be really big...

    Love your fantastic video and of course the cute pattern. The only down side I see is there is a huge waste of material when it comes to the pieces cute from the colored 10" triangles. I am wondering how to incorporate them into something. Any suggestions?

    Love the pattern but wonder if anyone has a way to make the cuts without this special ruler? I don’t think I would use it very often in other projects

    • @FabricGardenCA
      @FabricGardenCA  9 месяцев назад

      This pattern is written by the designer of the ruler so there is no simple way to cut it without the ruler. I am adding a link to a video for some other ideas on using this ruler. ruclips.net/video/txPF-e69MEs/видео.htmlsi=SZnSbBMIH4HRGhyo

    14:29 . I enjoyed your detailed tutorial. There are some helpful tips in it. Thank you! One question: when I sewed the trees and side pieces together the bottom was not flush. What size can I square that to?

    • @FabricGardenCA
      @FabricGardenCA  Год назад +1

      I think as long as all blocks are squared to the same size you will be fine.

    I don't think it's right to give all the dimensions so precisely here. at least as long as the pattern is not freely accessible. the designer probably deserves the almost 4 dollars that the pattern costs. 😕

    • @pollyjazz
      @pollyjazz Год назад

      To be absolutely honest i don't see the need for the pattern or a special ruler to make this wonky Christmas tree. And you could probably eyeball the measurements and still have something great. I'm going to make these smaller for a different kind of project 😉.

    • @scmom745
      @scmom745 Год назад

      I don’t think giving the dimensions is an issue as this is such a complex design that I think it’s good to have the pattern to follow along with the tutorial. I did buy the spider triangle template…. It’s helpful BUT it’s becoming impractical to continue buying templates at $XX each. I’ll have to think about that for future purchases.
      BYW…. I really found your tutorial helpful. You have clear instructions; nothing left to guessing. Thank you!!
