I applaud theses girls for singing live though. While we do have artists here in America who have never messed up vocally live, I can't think of many of those artists who fall into the "Pop" category like the Saturdays would. There are many artists here in the US that lip sync a lot of the time. So I say bravo to them for having the cojones to sing live. It may not have been perfect, but, I respect someone so much more when they sing live. That's just my opinion.

i agree with most of what you said. For one, for non-dancers, I don't think their dance routines are complicated...there is an appropirate amount of movement for a group that doesn't dance hard. And second, referencing their dancing in comparison to PCD is kind of a moot point to me because PCD was all about dancing and that's it. So if you REALLY want to compare, my vote is for SATS as far as talent because they actually sing well and can move. PCD dances great, but 1 singer.

most used to lip sync on top of the pops in order to successfully promote their single, its not seen as bad since its their goal to promote, especially since its their first few american shows. Madonna lip synced occasionally, michael jackson too, and many other big stars
I understand where you are coming from but they're not lip syncing. There are background vocals in certain parts of the track but not in their solo parts. Not all girl bands lip sync.
guys, every artists have a bad performance, once, twice. they are persons, and they too can make mistakes, but it doesnt matter if they have a really talent, that its the case of the saturdays. they are amazing, it was just a bad day, dont be that rude! :) it wasnt the day of una or nessa, but they tryied to do the better possible!
I saw the sats live 3 times last year and their vocals were on point all 3 times and they were fab! however, i agree that in this performance Ness' vocals aren't sounding her best:-(((

Notice the points where she messed up were the same, on the high note in the chorus, which leads me to the likely conclusion that she may have been having some vocal issues.

Actually right now the lead would be Rochelle, which her vocals have gotten ALOT better, and deserves it. then it follows up with Una, I do agree Frankie has improved with her vocals, I just don't think she's strong enough to have the lead vocals, it's not powerful enough.
I don't think Frankie and Mollie mimed, but they definitely had tuned mics, so they didn't sound off. However, they ended up sounded way too touched up. And Vanessa, poor girl, they should stick her part on Rochelle or Una so she has time to recover. Probably the worst timing for them to break.
The problem the Saturdays had in the Uk was that the mass general public never got them, they lacked a certain relatable quality that Girls Aloud had, everything just seemed too forced for the camera. Frankie & Rochelle were the only ones who had the star quality vibe. Rochelle I think was the best singer & Frankie just looked unique with her hairstyle & style. The rest were kind of forgettable, it just didn't stick. A very good singing voice doesn't equal star quality, that is why Vanessa White never got anywhere trying to go solo, she just doesn't have any star quality. When they take you out of a group & you're exposed on your own, that is when the real story is told. No amount of good looks, money, songs, or stylists is going to make up for the fact you have no star quality. What About Us, though, is their best song by miles it's still great now.
They're in America, therefore they're going to get criticized by Americans. If they want the big break they're looking for things like Vanessa's voice being off can't happen because in America, there are artist who have never messed up vocally live.

Vanessa has brutal lately vocally. However, Molly has come along way as has Frankie, impressed by them.
