I wonder how the original horse Dr. Coleman referred to was different from the KY Saddler and also what breed or breeds were used in this reconstruction. Some of the colors suggest TWH.
Many can be duel registered as TennesseeWalkers as they are heavily influenced by them, tho its unclear what direct breeds went into them (I'm guessing Saddlebreds are one of them). Smokey Valley horses tend to be alot finer built than TennesseeWalkers, with more action and drive in their gaits. Both breeds can share the gaits Flat Walk, Running Walk and Rack, tho SVH's take more naturally to the Rack than TWs. SVH's also rarely Pace as their gaits are naturally more Square than TWs who stretches out more in their gaits.
It is. Nothing more plain and simple. However, he does stress gait, 4 beat to be exact, and breeding so certain bred TWH horses are more likely to "make his cut" then others. His horses for the most part are 100% natural gaited and temp is second to none.
That scene at the end showed me why this horse needs to be on my radar. That gait was flawless and looked super smooth

How do these differ from the Tennessee Walker? You totally need to make longer videos & and go into the history & bloodlines...
