I rebuilt a 2 door 1972 Range Rover back in the mid nineties.cost of rebuild was over £7000 . New inner and outer front wings, chassis shot blasted and all corrosion cut out and re welded.full interior re trim and fitted CSK seats and doors. Mine was resprayed Balmoral green as well.took it to the Republic of Ireland when we moved so hopefully it's still circulating after I sold it.The tax and insurance in 1998 was £1600 plus £800 import duty.OUCH
I've got an 1985 that looks identical to this one. The later cars benefit to being used as daily drivers through having the higher compression v8s and 5 speed gearboxes. Would sell mine for half that if anyones interested ;)
I've had three Defenders (90s) and a RR 3-door. Does anyone know why the RR suspension is so good, and the Defender 90's is so terrible? I know the chassis is different, but they both have dampers and springs.
I always assumed it's mainly because the R-R has a much heavier steel framed body making it much comfier all round. On the other hand the Defenders don't wallow through corners so much and have a better centre of gravity.
Hi Joseph, it is a Barbour International 1936. That is all it says on the labels. I have had it a few years so don’t know if it is for sale anymore. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
Those 4x4's will probably never see a spec of mud for the rest of their lives! Kind of defeats the purpose of owning an off road vehicle... Re-engineered into a Chelsea wagon more like mate! 🤣🤣🤣
@@Motorflix Isn't it obvious?! New Range Rover's are built to be Chelsea tractors straight out the factory... RRC's just aren't. They're a lot more agricultural. I should know, I live and work on a farm and have driven one every day for the last 5 years.
What would your spec be?
I’m not a serious buyer so won’t waste your time BUT was simply wondering. Circa £20,000 - £100,000 I would guess?
£100,000 - ££150,000 upwards. 🫣
@@Motorflix as cost effective as a yaught then!
😂😂
i dunno, but it could be the perfect suv
Harry loves that ‘S’ bend for his road tests .

CSK looks on a later 3 door body, Sahara Beige, dark green interior with soft dash door panels, walnut trim and machined switchgear anodised black.

Anyone know what Barbour jacket Christian is wearing?

@@Motorflix cheers!
How much?
They aren’t give away!……. But what you get for exclusivity and artisan bespoke specs. £125,000 upwards.
You sound like a Kingsley car seller …
If this video sells a car for them that that would be great. They are super cool!

But neither would a new Range Rover…..? So what difference does it make?

I totally agree, but these are built for people that would buy a new one. So that is the market for them. Does that make sense?
