So... I bought the car with 102k miles and it now has 142k. I'd say it's held up pretty well. If I didn't track it then I don't think it would need any more maintenance than any other car. However, doing these events, I have replaced literally every suspension bushing on the car with polyurethane. I most recently put in poly engine, transmission, and drivetrain mounts as well. Having said this, the drivetrain has been remarkably solid. The engine has just needed oil changes, I've done a valve adjustment a couple times. I did have to rebuild the vanos seals and replace the vanos solenoid. I also replaced the radiator hoses with ECS silicone ones. And there have been a couple of little vacuum leaks, but that's going to happen to any car. I still need to send out my most recent oil change to blackstone labs to be tested, but previous ones have all been good. As far as cost, I'm afraid to add it all up. haha But if I had to estimate cost of just maintenance and not upgrades I'd say around $2-3k. $1k per year isn't bad if you do the work yourself. I did recently have to replace the fuel pump which is over $400. But tracking this car, I have broken just about everything and now it's at the point where I am very confident in how it can hold up to abuse. If you'd like a more detailed list of specific items, I could get that.
DropTopM thank you so much for all of that information. I am not meaning to get personal when I was asking for costs. Iam looking at getting an e36 or e46 m3... and just looking for the most reliable one which can take a few track days every now and then. If you wouldn’t mind shooting me an email, that would be greatly appreciated if you have anything more you could share. And how long have you owned the car? Plus, I assume you do all of the work yourself. thomasfreckmann@yahoo.com
DropTopM oh yea for sure man, you drive really good man, so I know you’ll feel it! Where’s that track at exactly? I just moved to south Florida. I would love to try it out.
DropTopM I've always wondered what it was. I was thinking it was going to be abit more like rallycross. I'm in the UK and I don't think we get the whole autocross thing as much
It's like a very cheap alternative to a track day. I have learned more about car control and by far gained more confidence in driving through autocross as compared to the several track days I have done.
Dang that last run looked so good, couldnt tell you clipped a cone
Nice driving man, looks like a fun time
Michael Regan thanks! Yeah this is always a really dusty site with very little grip but also very fun!
It’s sounds so angry 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I think you need to slow down on the truns, you'll probably gain more traction. The ground looks too dusty, probably making you loose traction too
So... how is this bad boy holding up? Would you mind revealing how much you have spent on it maintenance wise. And miles?

Bro u hit like 15 cones wtf
Actually I only hit 1 on the last run and missed the turn around on the first run, other than that it was clean.
Hey man did you wrap the wheel in carbon?
It’s a fake carbon wrap I did. I did the same with the dash trim.
DropTopM I can’t believe I got a reply appreciate it man. Saw comments from a year ago and figured it was a long shot. Nice car
This is a Convertible ?
Faris Ali yep
DropTopM that’s impressive, I had a Vert. The coupe is night and day difference.
@@MONSTERO7 From 50-130 mine can pull on my buddy's stock coupe, but I think losing the weight would definitely help around corners.

So is this autocross?
