I just had a holy cow moment. I have made every meal, bread, condiment for my family since Christmas. I didn't even realize I was doing it. My husband had to get some fast food for lunch this week and his stomach revolted for two days and we realized how well we've been eating
Our oldest grandson was killed in an accident on Mother’s Day this past year. We know where he is and it’s a temporary separation but still really hard. Went to his high school graduation without him and all the other heartbreak involved with a tragic loss. Ramping up our vegetable garden, getting a couple chickens, canning and cooking has helped me tremendously. Just get up, make the bed, and keep moving!!! Prayer and the support of like minded friends is priceless.
My heart just breaks for you. I know that there are no words. We lost our oldest son suddenly at 33 almost 4 years ago. The only thing that ever helped was to hear that people were praying for us, especially as I felt too broken then to pray myself. Anyway, I just want you to know I am pausing now to say a prayer for you and your family. 🙏🙏
@@MFV77 Thank you so much, prayer is such a gift. Focusing on the power that raised Christ from the dead resides in me, I can do this because of Him not me.

I enjoyed this conversation so much. We’ve lost the treasure of having older women teaching the younger women and learning from each other. I felt like we were having coffee together. Very sweet conversation. Thank you.
Women? Maybe think about that assertion… My maternal grandfather was a butcher and a chef, he taught me so much, he taught me more than my mother or grandmothers taught me… I can bake and cook more than my wife, and my wife is an excellent cook (particularly Asian dishes as she was born in Hong Kong)… Just saying, the belief that only women knew or know how to cook, or clean and butcher an animal, is a false assumption and rather sexist!
I am an 84 year old man, living alone, trying to do as much cooking from scratch as possible with meats and vegetables I raised myself. I came through the checkout line in the grocery store this week and was horrified to see what the mid forties lady ahead of me was buying to feed her family! Everything in her cart was prepared and prepackaged, with no basic foods in the cart. I would starve to death if that was what I had to eat!
That's great that you're able to feed yourself from what you've grown and raised on your land! Instead of judging others on what they choose to feed themselves with, why not be thankful that she's able to feed herself and/or her family at all?
Some days I want to move back to Iowa where I spent my early years; but, my wife would probably divorce me… However, while my wife was born in Hong Kong and enjoys living in a larger city, she eats very healthy, probably healthier than me… Point is, while I have the farming childhood, and she grew up in a large city, we generally purchase nothing but whole foods, fruits, nuts, vegetables, etc… Granted, we buy some breads like sourdough, but otherwise I make baguettes, flatbreads, and some pastas; we also buy some things like rice cakes and certain pastas as they are just rather difficult to make at home… I guess I am lucky as between the two of us we can bake or cook nearly everything we enjoy eating, avoiding all the additives and chemicals, it just takes a little planning… Then again, we are in our 50’s, have lived through different times, lived in multiple countries, and learned proper nutrition from our parents and grandparents… So, I see the same thing you mentioned, the younger people buy packaged foods and meals; not sure if for the convenience or because they don’t know any better… Either way, I think many people don’t know how to eat healthy, or realize all the processed/packaged foods have lots of additives/chemicals, or even realize how it is so easy and much less expensive to bake your own breads, etc… Which is, arguably, why life expectancy is decreasing in the U.S., not to mention the U.S. is actually behind on life expectancy compared to many other countries; like Hong Kong (where my wife is from), 78 years vs. 85 years respectively (yeah, I know Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China, but that is a different point).
The days of being taught home skills are truly over. Sewing, cooking, cleaning, cursive writeing, signing a check, addressing a letter.....kids are graduating high school not knowing how to do. I graduated in 98, I couldn't address a letter. Embarrassing really. I have two cousin who were a few years younger, graduated college with teaching degrees. They can't read or write cursive. Which I find mind blowing. My grandmother lived through the great depression. She tells me she never used a fresh herb. Ever. She found it so odd that I did. But she could bake bread and doughnuts like a master.
I know it was a fleeting statement… but when Mary said her Mom said ‘work is prayer’ that really resonated with me. It made me pause and think. At times, I’ve felt challenged and feel less likely to work hard. I have noticed my attitude improves if I throw myself into some work. This made an impact on me, thank you Mary.

If you can find a friend learning too. Then you can laugh at your mistakes. I've made some hum dingers. Once I made a pan of brownies and forgot the egg. It was cement. It became a joke. My mom soaked it for days. Stick in the pan. Chip with a knife. Nope. Then my brother and father got involved. Hammer, hockey stick, ax. Nothing worked. We had to throw out the pan. But it made my grandmother laugh so hard she cried. I think the next 3 years she would say good bye with a hug and a reminder. Remember to grease and flour your pan......I'll never live that one down.
Working & always keeping busy is the key ! My husband is 71 yrs old & after delivering Mail for 35 yrs he works part time at Wegmans to keep busy. Just came across this and noticed two of my favorite people to learn from are here. A treasure of a conversation to hear both of your takes on things. Perhaps the goal is to slowly become a library throughout a lifetime.
You hit the nail on the head Mary! Got created us to work! I tell my kids this all the time! I can tell you, since I started homesteading 3 years ago, my emotional health is so much improved! I am always busy, being productive, and feel like I have a purpose, other than "momming", which i do love 😊
16:06 "We just do what needs to be done. We don't need to worry about it or get upset about it." I LOVE that!! Thank you for the reminder to focus on what we can do. ❤
Ha ha when I opened my email this morning from Homesteading Family and saw Mary's picture I did a double take thinking I opened up a different email than I thought! My two favorite modern pioneer ladies in one place. Perfect! ❤❤
Beautiful conversation! Thank you! I was raised in a household of 4 generations of women. My great-grandma was born in 1883. Her 6 siblings, (by today’s standards) essentially raised themselves while their father worked and their mother died young. One of her sayings was: “keep on keeping on”. :) She also rarely sat still or complained, and did what needed to be done. Our TV culture made a mockery of work and optimism. Again, wonderful conversation, Thank you! Beautiful philosophy of life.
My 2 favorite RUclipsrs! I love this episode! Such great wisdom for this generation. My kitchen has changed drastically over the past 3 years since watching both of you ladies. Sauerkraut and broth are staples in my kitchen now. My kitchen is my learning center! I'll be 49 next month and still learning wonderful things in the kitchen!
I have learned so much from you both. Mary you taught me that sourdough doesn't have to be complicated. I can't have chickens because my husband works for the local hatchery. However we get amazing deals on cases of chicken. I make large batches of broth now thanks to your Mary's tutorials. Carolyn your canning skills are superior. You are my go to for canning. Because of you I am no longer scared of the pressure canner. I can everything. I mean everything. We expanded our garden x 3 and we are planning on growing 80% of our food. You two women are amazing roll models. I am a work from home mom due to just losing my job. My husband said that I save us a lot of money by staying home because of the canning and gardening. So we are now homesteaders and changing the way we do things.
What lovely ladies. Gentle, intelligent & wise. Born & bred in the UK, I'm lucky enough to live in France where we cook from scratch, have access to high quality food (even in supermarkets) & eat everything (yep even snails !) However, here in Europe, as in the States, food prices have gone up & as we've recently retired we now have to stick to a budget. Initially frustrating, it soon became stimulating to seek alternative sources of produce (cheap meat from local butchers & hunters as well as our own a vegetable garden etc...) & it's reassuring & satisfying to successfully solve problems. Loved your stories of your families experiences. xxx
Thank you, Caroline, for not racing through this conversation to make a shorter video. Thank you for being such a good listener. What a sweet conversation to great to watch.
What a great message. I love watching Mary's Nest. Recently she posted a photo with a link to a cracker recipe and I plan to try it out this weekend. I remember my grandparents talking about the Depression. My grandmother worked in the cotton fields while carrying twins. I grew up poor - a piece of meat was luxury and we were lucky to have it once a week. We eat alot of pinto beans, potatoes, and cornbread. You ate what was there or you went to bed hungry. When I had my first child, I had $45 a month for groceries. You did the best you could but we never went hungry. On my mom' side of the family, she had 2 uncles that lived to be 100 and 101. The one was cutting 7 acres of grass in his 90's. He really amazed me. He was so proud of his tractor that he still had when my mom was a little girl.
My Mom 23 was 5 years older than my Dad 18. They were married early 40s. I don't feel so much worried as I do a call to action. Taking action, being busy and prepared reduces stress and worry. I am optimistic that God is in control.
Thank you for reinforcing my entire lifestyle! Ever since I could see over a stove, On a milk crate, I began my love of Cooking! I knew as a young boy of Three, that if I learned and paid attention to Mom and Grandma, I would get little rewards and tidbits from them while my six other siblings were playing! Nearly 60 yrs ago now! And such fond memories and I'm so Very Grateful! Your Truth is Binding Thank You Very Much!!
I tell myself "buckle up buttercup" or "pick yourself by your boot straps and get going". Recently my husband passed. It has been emotionally difficult but I get myself up everyday and get myself going. It has helped to get me motivated and get through it. Yes there are moments but by doing helps to get through it. I love home cooked foods and my family were healthier because of it. We raised our own produce and meats. We canned and still do. It is so much healthier.
Bless you! I too lost my husband. It’s been 3 years in April but I got into preserving food and it keeps me busy. I’m actually addicted now. Also it makes for easy meal prep. Blessings to you.
@@geniemermal376 I am sorry you lost your husband. I love preserving and growing our food. Raised and taught our kids how to survive and yesteryear skills. They are building on those too. Blessings to you.
I just absolutely adore Mary. She has such a way of showing and teaching that is so calm and so intuitive, but so thorough, as well. She always thinks of the little stuff to include, that a lot of people seem to not even think about. She is great for a non seasoned cook, all the way up to a fully seasoned cook. She's a friend, in your kitchen, that wants the best for you, and has the knowledge of how to accomplish that. I've been reminded so many times of my own Grandma, and being in her kitchen, during the times I listened to Mary. She's truly someone that a majority of people would benefit from getting to know. So much knowledge in one lady...❤️❤️❤️❤️
My grandmother told me all about the depression, they were farmers, had milk, meat, and eggs, 6 kids, they would barter for things they needed, if you had a job, it payed 25 cents an hour, I’m grateful for this knowledge, we are beef and dairy farmers , I have chickens,I pray we are ok , she taught me to crochet, and helped me learn to sew, I could make all our clothes if I needed to , we always have a huge garden every year ♥️blessings to you and your family, and sweet new baby 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It’s so true! When I cook, I do forget about problems, for an hour or so. I think that’s healthy. My body relaxes for a time being. It takes time to prepare, cook and clean up. During that time I’m happy, I forget problems and or…I’ve even found solutions to my problems during that time. I think the anxiety goes away, and I can think clearly and everything comes into perspective.
FIRST ONE HERE! I LOVE YOU LADIES! WHOEVER SEES THIS MESSAGE, PLEASE KNOW GOD LOVES YOU. DONT ALLOW THIS WORLD TO HARDEN YOUR HEART OR CAUSE FEAR, YOU SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE, YOUR HOMES WILL HAVE NO LACK. IN JESUS NAME 🙏.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing Mary of Mary's Nest with everyone! Mary is the best at explaining and encouraging us along in our whole foods journey. Just try one thing, such as fermenting, then repeat, and soon you have mastered fermenting! Then move onto broth from a whole chicken, after a couple of tries, you have that mastered, too! Anytime I want to learn a new skill in the kitchen, I start with Carolyn @ Homesteading Family and Mary @ Mary's Nest channel.
You two are so cute! I was recently reading about how successful people speak with a smile and how this isn’t a “normal” skill most of us have. You ladies clearly know this principle and it works for you. I’ve enjoyed watching you both for years
Not only is this video done by two of my FAVORITE ladies, but the CONTENT was so amazing and uplifting! I cannot thank you BOTH enough so, so much for this wonderful video!!!!!
I'm a longtime listener of Mary! She's absolutely wonderful. I've learned so much about bone broths from Mary. Sending love and prayers to Mom, who was right all along.
I love the grace that Mary exudes as she encourages people to start with what they can afford, start with the basics, and learn one thing at a time. I know that as a young 21 year old mom that I hated cooking because it was so much work (I had zero food prep and cooking skills), but I couldn't afford convenience food. So I cooked simple meals and over time, with practice, things got easier and I would try more complicated things. Gradually I developed a large skill set and now I'm in my mid 40s and am teaching home ec classes in our homeschool co-ops, and am known to be a good cook who can pull off huge holiday meals for 40+ people by myself all made from scratch. Starting with those baby steps and a commitment to continue even if they're hard at first is all that's needed.
That is amazing! I am not a bad cook but when I try to make an entire meal for a large group I am just exhausted, so I always must ask for help. What is your secret to not just be so tired you dont enjoy the celebration. Maybe you just have lots more energy than I do, lol. :) (I’m 63 so a bit older)
@@Julia29853 I've learned to make as much as possible the day before, so that everything is still fresh, but the work gets spread out over a couple days. And I'm definitely tired and thankful for leftovers the next day!
Trust GOD pray, seek HIS will daily, and yes, keep busy. I love farming, canning, and doing everything one can do on a farm, including raising the animals.
Thank you Carol and Mary. My eyes have been opened. I’m 61 years old and live alone. I still have a full time job. I’ve been lazy, not cooking at home but buying prepared meals. I’m going to go back to cooking at home for myself and eating healthy.
I am mid 60 and just lost my mum after Christmas. I was lost….I felt I needed to know so much more, even though my mum taught me so much…but the panic of losing her and not ever being able to ask her anything anymore was devastating. But I learnt so much and ask her questions every-time, right up to her last days. I love hearing Mary’s story, which I had never heard before. Great video. Loved it…thank you 🇨🇦❤️ PS you are both such wise women.
Hi Lyn, I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom. Yes, we can learn so much from older generations. I feel the same way about my dad. I wish I had asked him so many more questions. Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
I just found this video and am loving it! Two of my favorite RUclips ladies!! My daddy lived to be almost 103 and was still driving and preaching! He used to say, “we’ll deal with whatever rolls down the pike”. That’s the way I was raised (I’m 77). My mother cooked from scratch and was a big proponent of nutrition, vitamins, etc and used to quote the Prevention magazine all of the time. I’m very healthy and I’m fully convinced it’s because of the way I was raised and because of the Lord, of course!
My mother would be 93 had she been alive today she also was a fabulous homemaker she knew how to sew knit bake she was fabulous with children my father was a lucky man
Thank you Caroline, I have enjoyed your channel as well as Mary’s channel for the past few years. So good to run across this video of the two of you together.
I think this might be my favorite guest so far! Mary is the kind of woman everyone would love to have as their mom...and I was blessed to have had a mom who was in the same category as Mary...God is good!!!
I feel so blessed to have been eldest in a large, poor family led by strong, resourceful women. When suddenly faced with single parenting while an older college student, and later through cancer, house fires, and a disastrous second marriage, I had the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to not only survive, but thrive. Underlying all was the spiritual example that is .y greatest resource. Bless my garden, stone soup, and gratitude!
I see a lot of fear in my grandchildren, and this is a great opportunity for us in the older generations to talk about what we had to go through and more importantly, come through just fine. The depression folks had faith in themselves to survive and thrive in the areas of struggle they had to deal with, and that is why they were able to smile through these hard times. If we knew the outcomes of some of these prevailing issues we are facing and were able to see that they mostly came of nothing we would also be more fearless. So, I just go through my days with the faith that God, who is in control of all things, will see me through whatever I am facing.
Hi Mary! Wow what a treat. I am a new subscriber to homestead family but I’ve been with Mary for a long long time. Great video, I learned a few things that have nothing to do with cooking. I different way to look at things. Looking forward to more of your videos!
I've watched a lot of Mary's videos. She's a fountain of culinary knowledge. But it was great to hear about her life and background. Love her even more now. AND her mother 😁
I was blessed, i had a great grandma that i was always around as a child. We were always over her house and always in the garden and kitchen with her. She truly taught me how to do so much, and I'm thankful for that. We can learn alot off of the older generations. We just have to be willing to listen and learn.
My grandma lived to be 96 and she was gardening the same week she passed away . I asked her how she stays healthy she said , “I get up EVERY day and make myself do something no matter how I feel “ I think there is definitely something to that for sure ❤😊
After my grandfather died suddenly when my mother was only 13 my grandmother had to start working. Since she couldn't teach my mother kitchen talents, my mother never taught me and then I had to work and not teach my daughter. I am so happy to see a mother that can teach and share with her children as Carolyn does!
My mother worked too and did not teach me much but I read books and taught myself and learned a lot by trial and error, lol. I only had boys but I still insisted on teaching them cooking and sewing basics. It was a good thing as they married women who also had working mothers and did not even know how to use basic baking measuring cups 😂. I tried encouraging them to try cooking more but as my daughter-in-laws also have jobs, I found that the 30 minute quick meals cook books worked better for them and I recently taught them to use an instant pot and they are in love and venturing out to cook more things 😁 Sometimes you have to work with the times and take baby steps 😂🤣😂
Last week we took two turkeys out of the freezer and deboned them and canned them...then took the bones and put them in a cooker with onion, carrots, celery and ginger and cooked them for a couple of days and made a wonderful bone broth...then took the meat and veggies, added some cooked rice and canned that as dog food....we were so encouraged by that whole process.

You gals are fulfilling the ministry of Titus 2:3-5 " Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Thank you for setting this biblical example to younger women.❤

This was such an encouraging video. I’m 72 yrs old and trying to learn to cook more nutritious to help my husband battle cancer. THANK YOU!
This conversation really spoke to me.😊 Thank y’all for not spreading fear and for being practical! We need more of that in the world ❤
Thank you SO much! Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
This is one of the best interviews you have done Caroline! Mary is a wise, foundation of the earth woman, with great advice. Thank you, Thank you...
Oh Shawna, thank you so much for the kind words. I am so humbled by your words! Love, Mary
You hit the nail on the head Mary! Got created us to work! I tell my kids this all the time! I can tell you, since I started homesteading 3 years ago, my emotional health is so much improved! I am always busy, being productive, and feel like I have a purpose, other than "momming", which i do love 😊
OMG Mary's Nest!!!! I LOVE HER! So happy to see this collaboration
Yes, me too!
16:06 "We just do what needs to be done. We don't need to worry about it or get upset about it." I LOVE that!! Thank you for the reminder to focus on what we can do. ❤
❤
Yes iam with auntie good reminder
Thank you for that reminder.
It's so easy to forget that when you're overwhelmed with so much on your plate.
❤
“Take you our eyes off yourself for a little bit” - words to live by! Thank you
Amen!!!
How true!
Oh Dora! Thank you for the kind words! So happy you are on this traditional foods journey with us! Love, Mary
Same here.. mine too
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Such a believer !! Can't stop giggling and smiling! I'm only 62 and getting better!
Loved your stories of your families experiences. xxx
Have peace in your ❤ “God is in His heaven and all is right with the world 🌎 “ blessing to your mother Mary 😊
I think this might be one of my favorite pantry chats ever! So much wisdom! ❤️
I love the older generations attitude. That is how my mother raised me also. “Relax and take care of things “
Exactly!
Thank you, Caroline, for not racing through this conversation to make a shorter video. Thank you for being such a good listener. What a sweet conversation to great to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Sebrina, thank you so much for sharing this. Love, Mary
My Mom 23 was 5 years older than my Dad 18. They were married early 40s.
I don't feel so much worried as I do a call to action. Taking action, being busy and prepared reduces stress and worry.
I am optimistic that God is in control.
I absolutely love Mary's Nest!!! She so sweet and honest which isn't always the case in today's age.
Thank you so much! Love, Mary❤
@@MarysNest you're welcome 😊
Thank you for reinforcing my entire lifestyle! Ever since I could see over a stove, On a milk crate, I began my love of Cooking! I knew as a young boy of Three, that if I learned and paid attention to Mom and Grandma, I would get little rewards and tidbits from them while my six other siblings were playing! Nearly 60 yrs ago now! And such fond memories and I'm so Very Grateful! Your Truth is Binding Thank You Very Much!!
Mary! She's the best!! I learned so much from her. Thanks for featuring her.
Blessings you post helped motivate me today 😊
Hi Joyce, I’m so sorry to hear of your husband’s passing but you have an amazing can-do attitude. You are fantastic. Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
@@MarysNest Thank You.
Two amazing RUclipsrs, very informative content, really appreciate it🇰🇪
Mary is a wealth of information. I've been following her channel for several years and she's taught me so much. 🌻❤️
Thank you for enlightening me. I'm 71 and never realized that about myself. 😊
Y'all are wonderful and so precious. Thank you for putting lots of truth out into the internet ocean. Keep up the goodness! Praise God 🙌
WOW - two of my most favorite traditional cooks together, what a an amazing duo!!!!
This is one of the BEST interviews I have ever watched. Such wise wisdom and so timely for all times.
I love Mary's Nest. She's helped me save so much money! They use to post some really good money saving recipes in the newspaper back when I was a kid.
Anytime I want to learn a new skill in the kitchen, I start with Carolyn @ Homesteading Family and Mary @ Mary's Nest channel.
loved this Pantry chat! I could have listened for another hour! Thanks to you, Carolyn and to you, Mary!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You two are so cute! I was recently reading about how successful people speak with a smile and how this isn’t a “normal” skill most of us have. You ladies clearly know this principle and it works for you. I’ve enjoyed watching you both for years
I totally agree!!! We have to learn from the wisdom!!!
So enjoyed listening to you both together!!! Blessings to you both!
MY FAVORITE LADIES!!!!! THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!!
Ty Carolyn! Mary's Nest is phenomenal.... Outstanding! She published her cookbook and I can't wait to get it!
Love Mary!!! She just brings me peace. And tons of knowledge!
Both of y’all are salt of the earth
I felt the same way when I lost my mom years ago. We used to say Mom was better to ask than Google.
Aw, I’m so sorry for your loss.
Hi Lyn, I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom. Yes, we can learn so much from older generations. I feel the same way about my dad. I wish I had asked him so many more questions. Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
😥sorry for your loss. I, too, after several years of losing mum, wish I could ask my mum about things.
I'm sorry for your loss. It's true that these women are wonderful people.
PS. My mama used to say “you are what you eat”. Truth!!
I have been cooking depression meals for the past 6 months it's going great and saving money
Plus they mostly are delicious.
two of my favorite experts in one place.
Encore!❤
I think this might be my favorite guest so far! Mary is the kind of woman everyone would love to have as their mom...and I was blessed to have had a mom who was in the same category as Mary...God is good!!!
Yes!!!! It was more than about cooking, but was attitude and grit!!! ❤️
Let's get to work! No need to dwell on the not so great! When the future is waiting to bless us abundantly! Thank you Mary Louise
Mary!! How nice you had her on your show…♥️ Great video Ladies!!
❤❤❤❤ Mary is the sweetest with so much knowledge
I see a lot of fear in my grandchildren, and this is a great opportunity for us in the older generations to talk about what we had to go through and more importantly, come through just fine. The depression folks had faith in themselves to survive and thrive in the areas of struggle they had to deal with, and that is why they were able to smile through these hard times. If we knew the outcomes of some of these prevailing issues we are facing and were able to see that they mostly came of nothing we would also be more fearless. So, I just go through my days with the faith that God, who is in control of all things, will see me through whatever I am facing.
Hi Wendy, So well said! Love, Mary
It’s wonderful watching the two ladies here that I watch most… thank you ladies…
Great video. Thank you, ladies! 👍
Love Mary and her nest. I started with her years ago. She has taught me so many things. Love her!!
I was blessed, i had a great grandma that i was always around as a child. We were always over her house and always in the garden and kitchen with her. She truly taught me how to do so much, and I'm thankful for that. We can learn alot off of the older generations. We just have to be willing to listen and learn.
She just passed this past year. She was 99. Thats a very full, and long life.
@@justjenn9011 my condolences, may she be at peace... ✨🙏🏽✨
Are there any helpful lessons or skills you'd like to share that you learned from her?
I absolutely LOVED this. Thank You so much for this Caroline and Mary.
I just love Mary. She always adds so much confidence to her viewers.
Great conversations from two of my favorite RUclips contributors. Thank you so much for your thoughtfullness and generosity.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So much joy in this! Thank you, both of you, for the loving encouragement.
Hi Nancy, thank you! Love, Mary❤️🤗❤️
My grandma lived to be 96 and she was gardening the same week she passed away . I asked her how she stays healthy she said , “I get up EVERY day and make myself do something no matter how I feel “ I think there is definitely something to that for sure ❤😊
Caroline and Mary❣ What a blessing to watch this, I admire you two so much❤
Two of my favorite internet people in one place! Feeling fortunate to learn from both of you!
After my grandfather died suddenly when my mother was only 13 my grandmother had to start working. Since she couldn't teach my mother kitchen talents, my mother never taught me and then I had to work and not teach my daughter. I am so happy to see a mother that can teach and share with her children as Carolyn does!
Never too late to start.
One thing that Mary stresses is to start where you are. Go roast a chicken. 😊
You are you two soooo inspiring !!!
Blessings +++!!!
Thank you so much!
Sounds great!
You are two of my favorite people to watch.♥️ Thank you for respecting our parents and grandparents for their wealth of knowledge. That is also lacking in sime our younger people today.
One of your best pantry chats. I've loved Mary's Nest for years. This practical mind, body, spirit connection is so healthy and necessary to pass on for personal and community health ❣️
I'm watching a little late, but I have been looking forward to this duo since I saw the thumbnail. You two are, hands down, the sweetest ladies in homesteading / prepping!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Delightful Conversation fulled with Hope. Praise The Lord for ladies of Faith who are bringing basic foundations of what God gave us in His provision. God Bless You Both. 💖
Loved your Duo pantry chat today, I have enjoyed you Carolyn and Mary, so sweet to find you both together.
I lost my mother at a young age, now that I have my own family I truly appreciate these videos.
Thank you to two wonderful ladies. I have learned so much from you.
I love both of you
So good to see you together
What a joy for all of us who watch both of you
Thank you for sharing your lives with us
Your talk with Mary really eased my mind about not being able to buy all Pasture-raised, organic, etc. Thank you!
This was just beautiful! What a wonderful lesson for sure. So very thankful for ladies like you to talk about these hard topics such as organic or not organic and just making due at first and ease into into it. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you for having Mary on the show , she is such a gem
Thank you so much, both of you lovely ladies, for all these wholesome nuggets of truth, encouragement, and love! ❤
