Why do I like watching this..... Because I love and respect the giant oak trees where I live in California. The only reason I like California is because of these giant oak trees, one day I will plant a giant oak tree Forest and have a oak tree grove when I grow old. Also for future generations to see how awesome these trees are
@@djangokill65 yea. It’s not that difficult. I’ve planted 5 Quercus Agrifolia Oaks and 1 Quercus Lobata (which is the valley oak from this video). I live in a big enough area to fit them all, also i can handle the responsibility really easily. Watering is time consuming but I don’t have a lawn so, honestly if u have a lawn just let it die and focus all your water on native plants
There were ice age bison in California, and modern bison more recently with a gap of a few thousand years. Very similar to cattle as herbivores go. I do not buy the cattle destroying oaks idea. Other studies I have heard say cattle help oaks propagate. Drought or fire suppression may play a role. The lack of people harvesting and planting? Nice video, I was not familiar with mast years. Pinyon has bad and good years, an occasional bumper crop. It would be interesting to map them and see if they coincide.

Better start now.
