Elden Ring is hard. But once you get the hang of it, death is meaningless, every victory is gold, and every so-called demigod is a future victim. It's worth playing for the power you end up feeling, the incredible atmosphere, visuals, and stories, and the chance at multi-armed wives.

i wear the godrick knight set and use the godrick heavy shield with the partizan spear. i dont do invasions, im a defender. if the boss cant hit thru my shield, i can slowly waste away their health. im currently in the lurnia area, i aid people while wandering myself. all things can be defeated with patience.

For context, Radahn is a chad that's gone through the trouble mastering Gravity Magic to keep his best friend horse. He's a threat to the stars by being a Gigachad. Alexander, Jar Warrior, is the jolly buddy you invite as best man. And I can legally say I've been killing dragons with my faith in *bubbles.*
personally, i prefer the "turn into a whirlwind of blood and bladed chains" approach, but i respect the bubbles.
The jars do have arms and legs. They are called living jars. Alexander is the best Friend jar. While the others are a mix of friendly and enemies.

I love Max0rs editing. You really do have to have your finger on the pause button to catch all of the quick memes he throws in.
I have played Elden Ring. Over 250 hours and on my second playthrough. Max0r definitely captures the ridiculous nature of the game as it confronts you with challenges you don't expect and have to overcome.
As for movies from 2006, I think Hot Fuzz came out that year. Not sure about it, and not googling it.
That Harry Potter comment around 20:00 reminded me of how a bunch of fans were disappointed by the official sequel play starring Harry's kid, so they just made up there own where that very plot point happens (Harry and Hermoine cheating on their spouses for each other) and is played pretty well for drama in this wizard-magic mumbo jumbo.

This game is the hardest and the easiest. Unless you lobotomized yourself before playing, I think anyone can do it with enough PATIENCE the length of the universe. A rewarding painful experience 10/10 will play it again.

The deathbed companion lady gives you an item, along with the small health debuff, which goes away after you use the item. So Max0r apparently never used the item in his game, lol.
The item increases a person’s “Poise” stat, which is very useful for people who rely on using shields and blocking attacks, instead of dodging or parrying. Poise is basically your characters balance/stability. Low poise = you can block as well as an anemic drunk vegan, and a shot from a BB gun will send you flailing. High poise = Radahn comes in for his meteor strike and bounces off you like a rubber ball. So the health-for-buff trade off balances out, for people who want to play like that.

Movie I remember from 2006: Cars. My brother was born in 2006, and LOVED that movie.
Have I played elden ring: oh yes. 10/10, working to max my 1st character so I can start a new one. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a great game.
As someone at the end of the game for the 3rd time and well caught up with the lore, I can tell you he tells it actually really well through alternative and funny means/memes. It's a kind of game that you have to be willing to explore and try out different things and should assume you don't know what's really coming until you are there with the game. If you play it that way, you can have so much fun in just the little things for what's a well designed game of huge proportion. The main real commitment that's vital to get into it is patience and willingness to try things. That alone lets you alternate it from overwhelming to easy and maybe even overwhelmingly exciting in a world with amazing secrets and surprises around every corner in clever ways.

You should increase the volume of the video they're reacting to. Its hard to hear what they're reacting to without without increasing the volume, which results in that thing movies do where the background sounds are louder than characters talking.
You know what I mean?

Elden Ring and most FromSoft games use "i-frames" (invincible frames) as a way for the player to successfully dodge. Rather than relying on moving the player to safety to avoid attacks, the dodge button also gives the player a couple millseconds of invincibility. So if they dodge at the moment something was going to harm them, they will not be hit regardless of the size of the object.
I have played Elden Ring, and have beaten Malenia with strength build, and yes it was worth it, 2 broken controllers worth and 1.5 weeks worth.
It surprised me that Kit knows what Doki Doki Literature Club is. Ah, a cute visual novel game with psychological horror, the memories.

about the Harry Potter thing, all things aside, lore wise Hermione does have similar social status as Harry Potter: Hermione became the Minister of Magic, Harry Potter is...well the Savior ofc and the head of the auror department, Ron helped Harry as an Auror and later went to work at his brother's joke shop. So essentially Hermione and Ron getting married is like the President married a soldier from Navy Seal who later became a worker in a shop. Well, there is no logic in the world of Romance and therefore anything is technically possible, but I do think Hermione and Ron is an....interesting case...
