Those Fireside books are one of the reasons why so many of us reader/collectors never got a copy of some important comic book issues back in the day. "I don't need to pay $50 for X-men #1, I have it in my Son of Origins book!"😀
Another great comic collection, jambo! I liked that issue of adventure comics with supergirl on the cover! As always, thanks for sharing, friend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@randytracy1742 yes I love those early bronze age Supergirl stories. And thank you my friend for stopping by and watching the video. I really appreciate that and the comment.
Great eye as always Jambo. Always admired the Bring on the Bad Guys from the promos in the comics. Those Firesides were pretty expensive. Should pick some up now that I'm all grown up and can buy whatever I want, LOL. If I remember right, the Origins and Son also came in a box set.
I remember those house ads for origins and son of origins and those great Fireside books. They did seem very expensive at the time. What great stuff inside though. Really appreciate you watching my friend
Hey Jambo. Very cool books especially the Airboy shark cover, fantastic cover I like it alot, that plane reminds me a bit of the batplane with those bat like wings & very cool pirate like ships on the cover. Very cool Frazetta Special, I'm guessing it's rare. Very cool Crack Comics#30, reminds me of Detective Comics#38 first appearance of Robin, with Captain Triumph holding that ring & Biff crashing through it, I could be wrong I'm guessing this book was inspired by Detective#38, what do you think? Very cool Kid Eternity#2 & Master Comics#52, always liked those Golden Age Captain Marvel Jr's, speaking of Master Comics I think they recently released a Master Comics & two Captain Marvel Adventure Comics facsimiles. Sorry for the long comments.
Thank you Michael. I can always count on you to watch the whole video. That is greatly appreciated my friend, and always leave a cool comment. Tip of the hat to you sir . Thank you
that frank frazetta is from toronto ont canada around 1969' captain george henderson had the first comic book store in toronto ont canada . he was first on queen st and went to the street next to honest eds . his whole store was comic books . not one in a plastic bag . a lot more to that story ..
Thank you for the info sir . I did not know that . I thought it was very cool and being a big Frazetta fan just glad to find anything with his fantastic artwork. Appreciate you watching my friend.
😆Haul about that ? Friend Jambo wonders why that's his favorite Marvel cover ; too which I /👀agree , you REDdy for my answer Friend Jambo ?😍😍😍Medusahhhh, Natashahhhh , Sonjahhhh , uhuh , uhuh! Airboy , truly a GA gem! Mr Keeper., my friend , guardian of my #1 GA Quality hero Kid Eternity. Apparently Grant Morrison agreed with you on Mr Keeper's creepiness ; revealing that he was really a demon and that Kid had been deceived all along. Sorry , I'm staying with my GA interpretation. Captain Triumph and Quality Comics both winners. Garbage? Gabby? Then fill my waste basket with that kind of garbage! The Frazetta issue I saw in 1972 at a local con , was planning on getting it but there was so much good stuff around I forgot to pick it up.1970 -75 The Pop Culture Nostalgia Craze was in full motion, a revived interest in comics ( strips / books) , movies , radio shows , etc from the 30s-50s was taking place.
Ahh Anthony, good to see you stopped by my friend. Mr. Keeper , thank you I was drawing a blank when I did this video. I never thought of it at the time but three of your favorite women on that fireside book. Appreciate you my friend. Thank you for the comment and for watching
