Loved these interviews. I’m in a Detroit suburb and I remember going over to Windsor to see an outdoor “mini” concert with Wolfman Jack there. Probably put on by CKLW radio station. Up close and personal, so much fun. Years later I took my mom to see Burton at the Royal Oak Music Theater. Great show!
It is mesmerising to hear him talk. I am engrossed. He must have been raised by people with a similar mentality as I was, the people and the community, because I thought I was the only one who talked like that.
B.C. ...we all love you and all the band members thru time. Music is the catalyst to join everyone. I'm from the north end in the Peg as well and delivered the Wpg. Tribune in my youth and cruising kildonan park. Your singing voice and the songs of the band are just like eating apple pie at Grandma's place on Boyd. The Prairies will never forget that sound. Rock on B.C. and all the members giving us the best Rock of our generation. .. Play SHARE THE LAND. CHEERS FROM GARDEN CITY WPG.
Saw you SUNY Cortland NY 1971 It was full of great songs and you were in full voice I was in the front row with a classmate my senior year There was a long drum solo somewhere in the middle of it all Best wishes from Orlando
Saw you and the Guess Who in the early 70's in Ft. Wayne, IN and it is still the best concert I've seen and I've been to a ton of shows ! Thank you Burton ! (I thought every place in Canada was friendly?)
One of the biggest regrets of my life was when going to high school in West Vancouver in the late 60's and one day we were told the Guess Who were going to play our auditorium at West Vancouver Secondary School. I think it was a Friday afternoon and the band were heading to Japan I believe. They played our school and I was not allowed to attend by my parents and it was free. They were at the height of the bands career I would say. Darn, I still say that when I think of that day. I should have not listened to my parents. They were one of my favourites, as with most Canadian kids at the time and over the years. The most wonderful voice in rock and roll in my opinion.
I had season tickets to the Jazz NBA For 5 years. They sell alot of 8 dollar Beers and they are in Utah. I Burton l love your personality and Great that you are out walking. I saw you in Vegas twice and Really loved it.
He came to a club in Charleston the Roaring 20's after his show, at the civic center,Stand Tall.we met on our break and he kicked my tail on the pinball machine and yep he waz sporting those white dress shoes! What a memory..he sat in and played These Eyes and American Woman.Thank you Mr.Cummings!
Everyone thinks that they are his biggest fan but they are wrong. Ask me anything musically from TGW to solo. Sorry folks, but I AM the biggest fan. His favorite song to play in 1974? Self Pity which he professed in St. Louis MO. I was there. Thanks K-SHE!

Rural people are the best. I have lived my entire 69 years in central Illinois. People are friendly and very supportive.
Glad you mentioned Sour Suite Burton, that is a great tune and it goes over so well live. Enjoy.
Love to hear the stories behind the songs!
come to Nashville ,Mr Cummings! you are amazing!
Nashville Sneakers was a great Guess Who album track from Rockin’ in 1971. A bit of a swing tune by Burton and the Boys. Well worth searching out.
