That game is one of my all-time fav memories, I was 19 years old ( Tottenham, through and through)and I was offered a ticket that was going spare from my work colleague who was a Gooner, but in love with me lol.
He said , the ticket is for the Arsenal stands at Wembley for the match, so if I agreed I wouldn't wear anything representing Spurs then I could have the ticket for free...... of course I agreed, ,,,,, Anywho, I secured said ticket and the day arrived, my work colleague was meeting me at St Albans train station where I was loud and proudly waiting on the platform dressed in my Holsten Spurs top, jacket, and a scarf... LMFAO , I can still picture his face to this day . Well, we got into the stadium unscathed physically but the dirty looks were unreal lol, LIGAF. To all the Spurs fans out there, you can bet your ass that I loved and lived every single second of that match and when Gazza scored that free-kick I was going off my nut, running up and down the stairs, surrounded by Gooners left and right , screaming F++king have some of that ....... That memory will always be in my top 3 forever C.O.Y.S XX

Since the 1970's, Barry Davies is the best football commentator on BBC IMO, likewise Brian Moore on ITV and Martin Tyler on Sky.

As someone who only started paying attention to football in the late 80s and early 90s, I wholeheartedly agree. Motson was quite good, so too Peter Brackley (I enjoyed his commentary on Football Italia), but Davies and Moore were wonderful to listen to, a cut above.

Putting this result to one side the Arsenal team of 90/91 were total class. How they never progressed from this season to dominate in the early 90s will always be a mystery to me. This season was the peak of Graham’s era at Highbury, yes, he did go on to win 3 more trophies but it was never the same after the 90/91 title win.

Beautiful day - Gazza and Lineker magic. Paul Allen, Paul Stewart, Nayim, Walshy - we had some great players in the late 80s and into the 90s. Jittery next season without Gazza though.

Lovely sunny day perfect weather for football, I agree Gazza and Lineker were our best players by far. Without them 2 we would of lost this game. The other players raised their game too on the day and had very good games. Vinny Samways probably had his best game for us and Paul Allen played really well too, they all did really. The season after life without Gazza was never the same for me
