That Don Cherry Here in Brooklyn is beautiful. Finally got my copy with OBI from Japan couple months ago. Got a great deal on it and as usual in near mint condition. Such a good store. Not sure about pricing but great selection.
The Yen has just reached a historic low against the U$D and in ¥161 in the exchange rate. When I started my RUclips channel the exchange was ¥120 The store has very special beginning. The CEO previously worked at Disk Union and was responsible for their Blue Note reissues before he left to start JUDGMENT! RECORDS. He founded the jazz label Craftsman Records in 2018 as well.
I knew you’d like the Garrard. He had it in service and playing records the entire time I was there. My blues feature video is next week. The selection I pull will make you rummage through your desk in search of your passport.
Always fascinated by abbey road poses. 6:08, any favorites, record lovers? Wes Montgomery, Booker T, George Benson? Got a charge out of the Simpsons! BTW, cool info on those 10" Blue Notes.
Judgment! also had a Beatles section of LPs that I did not have time to go through. When I saw the Apple 45s, I knew it would be a sweet spot to cover. That’s a funny thing about Japan. One day you think you’ve discovered a rarity and the next shop you go into; it’s displayed on a wall. Glad you liked it. I’m currently editing a 60s/70s rare record section at a Shinjuku rock specialty shop that is eye popping. Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting as always.
Could never really get into most Jazz, Stuff like Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and the like probably appealed to me more than anything else. Maybe Glen Miller to some extent, Louis Armstring is probably my favourite,
@@ricefieldrecords I did but no clue as to what those are so didn't know they were rare, Kinda cool though if those are hard to come by. I confess it's not something I know anything about.

Tons of great stuff there! I'd love to visit! Also, great to see the old Garrard at work there!
