Your kitchen is going to be so good when finished. Love the way you look after your tree's and all the work that you have put into making your pathways.
@ I’ve a full roof to replace & I’ve seen a few using laminated lumber, I’d like to use for the main beam.. I’ve made them in the past , but I’ve quite a span .
I’ve heard of them used for that. Don’t know the technicalities, but good luck figuring it out. Let me know how it goes because we will have a big span in ours when it eventually gets built.
Aren’t those posts rather overkill for just a roof perhaps I’m wrong but it just looks bigger than some wooden structures you see on new build permanent buildings
Possibly yes, but I’d rather go that way than under-spec it as it is intended as the ‘permanent’ structure there. I am working with the available materials - I originally planned 4x4 columns but the timber yard only had smaller or 6x6 in stock so I went stronger. Probably for the best as I will also be mounting some solar panels on top of it as well. 💪🛠️😎

Thank you so much. We go one step at a time, it is nice to see some progress at last and the paths start to show how it will be one day.
It's gonna be so nice to have your Kitchen roof done ! What a great accomplishment!
It has taken a while, but that’s the downside of not being here full time. So pleased to finally be getting it sorted out. 😎🛠️🇵🇹

Proficient? I'm not so sure. Slightly less incompetent more like! If the 'litre by litre' bit referred to wine, then we're all for it😉🍷🇵🇹
