Listen to me and listen to me carefully , you may make fun of the film or rightfully say that it's silly but I have developed a special taste in movies ,something which had to be acquired over several years of watching Liam Neeson. Whatever you rate the film , I'm gonna find it and watch it.😂😂
I thought the movie was great. The thing that drove me nuts though was all the W990 marketing with Gurty's brochure but then the trucks would morph into T680s and then back to W990s. Even at the beginning of the movie, he's driving a KW from the interior but then he pulls up in a Volvo VNL. Probably not something noticeable to the general audience but is probably very noticeable to truckers and truck enthusiasts watching this movie.
Yeah I instantly noticed it and it annoyed me every time they would morph, I wish they would've chosen something closer in bodystyle to the w990 at least
This has to be the most suspenseful and exciting movie ever considering Adam's description. I don't know how he pulled through without having a heart attack. 🙈 "Thx Netflix for ruining my afternoons." 😂 I hope Adam gets to direct the sequel "Slippery Back Alleys".
I just watched it after watching some of the reviews including yours. I have to say I didn't hate it... Maybe I'm just easily satisfied when it comes to movies but I liked it. Thanks still for the recommendation 😅👍🏻
@@845835 Up until this moment I thought the movie was some sort of fever dream I got after listening to the song on late night radio and following a convoy heading across I-80. Absolutely a good film, but that doesn't stop me from believing it was some kind of fever dream.
Neeson 'big picture' is a fantastic actor and total gem. However, his older guy as an action star gig has more than ran its course. I believe he said recently he is moving on. Yes, I am sure he made some good money, but you have to get out before you become a joke, and if he gets out now it would be fine, but if he keeps at it it will be ridiculous. This looks like a fake movie that would be in another movie. Many critics I listened to said it stinks.
I caught my dad watching this film earlier today (he still refuses to watch Zodiac, Brokeback Mountain, The Master, Sound of Metal, Whiplash, Silence, Raging Bull, Dead Poet’s Society, etc, but he willingly watched The Ice Road).
Want to see an intense film about truckers on thin ice in sub zero temperatures with great character writing, actual tension and good direction that’s also on Netflix ? Watch the Spanish thriller “Below Zero”.
I LIKE THIS MOVIE. I'M A LIAM FAN NO MATTER WHAT HIS ROLE IS. I LOOK FOR A MESSAGE IN THE MOVIES . THE MESSAGE HERE IS THE REALISM OF HOW EVIL CORPORATIONS ARE FOR PROFITS. ONE RACE COLLECTIVELY RUNS EVERYTHING AND THEY ARE THE EPITOME OF EVIL WITH THE ALLIGATOR SMILE. BOTTOM LINE-- DOESN'T MATTER WHO DIES THEY WIN IN REAL TIME.
I enjoy some of them, depending on what we are classifying as horror. The torcher porn style films don't do much for me. I reviewed The Conjuring 3 recently. I've honestly never heard of As Above So Below.
Yeah far fetched. But, some of it actually connects. But, not alot. You'd be surprised though. Some of it was stolen from the show when they saved their asses.
liam neeson usually picks movies that are somewhat decent, or he elevates smaller films....maybe not anymore?.... i remember he had this bit part in The Next Three Days. he had maybe four minutes of screen time, and man!, did that guy chew the scenery! hope this is just a hiccup for him, and not him graying out.
Liam Neeson in The Ice Road: " I don't have any money. But what I do have are a very particular set of icicles."
At least he doesn't have family.
You subverted my expectations, Adam.
This review did not disappoint. Love bad movies movie reviews.
I loved this movie! It's more realistic than the Fast and Furious LMAO
To be fair, at least F&F is hilarious and is aware of its stupidity.
I get the negative feedback but the movie was a fun thriller. I enjoyed it with my family and we simply ignored the plot holes.

Same, honestly.
@@RadiantRachie Good luck😁
This review did not disappoint. Thank you this was fun.
First things first. In the beginning they show Neeson driving a Kenworth but he actually pulls up in a Volvo
Really enjoying your new content. I appreciate your hard work and great editing.

So when do we get to see the masterpiece you filmed in highschool/college?
Yes!
One can dream
You mean Water Wars?

Thanks Adam, you saved me lots of time 😉
Welcome to the ice road baby, you're not gonna die!
The only good movies about trucks:
Smokey and the Bandit
Joyride
Duel?
Convey (1978)
@@LPTV84 Forgot about that one, that also gets a spot between the two

and between shots the truck model changes from W990 to T680 lool
At this point I'm starting to wonder if I've even missed any good films this past year... Because it seems like there haven't been many.

The best thing coming out of the movie industry today..... is that there are a ton a BAD movies for you to review. Can't wait!!!
As long as I can watch them on Netflix and not waste my money (besides the monthly Netflix cost DAMMIT!)
Hey Adam what do you think is underrated Liam Neeson action movie I think non stop is underrated
I didn't see Non Stop so I guess your pick holds up, haha.
@@AdamDoesMovies have you seen run all night and unknown the grey is also good
yes and yes. The Grey is a cool flick. Love the ending!
@@AdamDoesMovies the grey is awesome and underrated what did you think about unknown and run all night
I don't remember Run All Night very well and I've never seen Unknown.

🎉 👨 👊
Now I'm actually really curious about your high school films. 😆
I give this movie a 9 out of 10.
Adam you always subvert my expectations because you’re the real deal! 😘😘😘
That was top notch hilarious.😂😂
nice to see you again in my recommended =)
Ahhh. ...... C'mon man, it's as good as Blade 3. 😳
You are called to suspend belief many, MANY times.

You can also recommend the Ice Road.
Another great review, thanks.
The cg looks like something out of 2000 for a cheap TV series. Hah.

I do agree in Lawrence’s character needing a dominant camera framing
Yeah I watched this and kept getting wtf moments but it was very funny to watch with other people as we picked it apart
Wrong review, Adam. This is a good movie.
Movie sucked and Netflix is pure s---.
Any truckers want to weigh in on that truck winching scene? I thought they were done too
My stepdad farmer said it was total bullshit and would have taken 1/2 a day to even figure something out.
I like ice road truckers, that being said this film was rubbish
For the Algorithm !
Im a courier in tha pnw u fckn right I appreciated this movie 🍿
Do you like horror movies?
Been avoiding "As above so below" for the longest time

Keep on avoiding, you'd have a better time watching some of the YT vids detailing the legends and lore of the Paris catacombs.
Yeah far fetched. But, some of it actually connects. But, not alot. You'd be surprised though. Some of it was stolen from the show when they saved their asses.
Hilarious and amazing! The review I mean. I'm sure the movie sucks.
I seriously really liked the movie idc if it's bad ch as long as I know what's going on it's a good movie in my book

The Ice road or Godzilla vs Kong?
I hope to God this director IMPROVES because this movie was really bad. I tried watching it 3 times, and I just couldn't get past 40 minutes
Who dafook is Liams agent!
Ah Liam Neeson doing the same character he's been doing for decades. Yeah... I think I'm going to skip on this one. Thanks for warning me, Adam.
Fishburne was mentioned again after he died so while everyone calling this a great review this guy didn't even really watch tha damn movie
Didn't watch the movie, but just lookin at the clips you put in the video disgusted me. How can a movie look *that* bad? ☠️
