Agree 100%! They should pay Takis for all the hard work he and his team do for these animals. It would be more than fair to fine these people who abuse and abandon animals. If offenders were heavily fined and served jail/prison time then maybe more people would learn that cruelty to animals is wrong.
The municipality has a budget and is responsible for strays by law but corrupt politicians pocket the money instead. That's a common problem in Greece. Volunteers and shelters like Takis's never get a dime from the government.
One Year searching for her....and then One DAY to surrender at wonderful TakisLand....Perfect and AMAZING. We all know that Takis just has that magic touch and this is proof. How wonderful to see Mommy, together with all her 5 pups, safe, FINALLY, at the shelter 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕💯👏👏👏🤩🥳🙏
Mommy is still wondering what's going on but she'll not have to worry all night for the first time!! Good nutrition & less stress will make the mommy healthy again. 💓
There are no direct flights in winter from European cities to Crete so to go there and adopt is more difficult. In March these flights start again i believe and than more adopters and visitors will travel to the shelter.
For the mama, it may take a bit longer but for the puppies, a few days of regular feeding and rest, they'll come out to meet with the volunteers. Life is much safer for this family now. Hope they'll be adopted by loving families in the near future. Thank you, Takis.

she certainly is suffering. She looks weak and her skin shows general ill health plus those gums are pale. Heaven only knows what she has felt like, yet the puppies are strong. She has done wonders.
