One of my favorites..Body takes time but it is beautiful..even the C11 takes time to do well...depending on what you want out of it..I also love the driving these models..smooth and fun. Really appreciate your videos!
Uooow this car is absolutelly fantastic! Super tricky paint job you nailed on this model, congratulations for the result!! It's the most beautiful tamiya rc I've seen🥇🏁 😍🤟⭐✨✨✨
The Nissan actually has two rear mirrors! The bump over the left front wheel is the mirror on the left side, I think you placed a silver sticker on there.
My huge local club indoor rc carpet track we have a class just for these group c cars you have to use full interior cockpit details decals sponsorships numbers ECT must use every scale part that comes with it and painted accordingly and professional looking no plane cars with a single color and no decals must have atleast 10 decals minimum on car and it is a fun class fast but not to fast and looks very scale and tons of grip on the carpet . We run oval and road course classes and switch every other week between the two out track is huge to same with the oval our fastest oval class track record for all time top speed is 72.5 mph and on road course is 65.7 mph. And only car allowed is the Nissan r91cp kit and the Mercedes kit only. We have a guy that 3d prints all kinds of parts for all the different classes for us to buy for a dollar or two either detail parts or performance parts to help with foam tire chunking and ECT but the amount of graphics they have printed for the Nissan and Mercedes spec Tamiya class we run these two cars only is crazzy we have 50 different livery decals in different colors and sponsors ECT even metallic neon and metal flake vynil decals numbers and livery to we have some amazing looking bodies. And they also have the livery sets in vynil made to go on inside of car as a mask so all your numbers and decals and sponsors ECT are done in paint and looks excellent and better cuse the decals to peel and rip from banging and hitting each other and colors are endless as well it's crazzy the art work ppl can do on RC car bldies
Great job mate 👍🏻 I’ve been waiting for this since the unboxing video came out few weeks ago. Legendary built and really pleasing the eyes just to look at it. 2 thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻
Now at the Nissan HQ this race car and 2 others are on display along with the Calsonic R32GTR race car a Yelllow R33GTR 400R and a 200SX S14 270R all super rare its always worth a visit if your in Japan.
Wow! You have done a fantastic job! Absolutely stunning! The details are so beautiful to look at! Please don't run that body! lol! Love your work brother!
looks great ,would bring back memories of the buggyra doing this one hey😄 !! you said we need this in our collection but thats the problem there not easy to get!
Awesome build mate, I love this kit. Would really love to see the wheels painted in grey / chrome, they are a bit dull in black and I think the wheels on the original are a real eyecatcher!
I’ve got the original 91 car still running but need the foam tyres and a universal gear. I couldn’t get foam tyres back when they wore out so I put radiator (car)rubber pipe that was the same diameter as the wheels. 😂 I just realised I was here before.
Hi Gavin, great paint job very detailed. I found the 2 Mazda 787b prepainted and 3 Nissan R91 cp bodies unpainted. I bought all of them. Got A great deal for all of them. Shipping them was expensive. I didn't mind. Cannot find them. Anywhere especially the Mazda 787b body. Cheers 😀😀😀😀
That is an EPIC paint job on the Nissan. The aftermarket exhaust for the C11 is interesting. I just hoping to see the CLK at a reasonable amount again. I am still on the fence with Tamiya chassis lack of bearings and the amount and type of plastic they use, love the F1 chassis. It's 4 am here and a precious day off. I am working on a bit of a scratch build using an ARRMA Infraction. I don't know what this plastic is, unattainium maybe? But an electric drill and a pair of bolt cutters came into play. Not kidding. I cannot imagine someone breaking one of these things.
If I was to guess we could see a group C again in 2023-24 going on the chassis designs are just the same. We won't see any Ferrari cars unfortunately due to Tamiya losing the licencing. I guess Ferrari wanted way too much $$$ to make it viable.
Hi there Gav, this really hurts but that’s an amazing looking body shell, that paintwork looks absolutely gorgeous, masking must have been a ball breaker, but it’s paid off.
Very nice this car😍 I have a very similar 1995 1\12 scale cox nissan gtp very rare it's been several years that I look at the box thinking I should build it but the paint job is so complex and adds to the cost of the kit that I would not want to miss the painting because I will never find a new bodywork for this model it is to be considered because just opening the box would make it lose value I think this tamiya model would be good for me 😉i love Nissan
I wish you showed under the top so I could see if it’s exactly the same. I’m in Australia so it’s expensive to import anything. I’m in need of the universal cog as the teeth aren’t exactly great.

Gav , Have you been or going to the Silverstone Classic this year ? Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August .2022. It'll be right up your street ....We went last year , full garage access , .. we were stood next to the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP firing up .. even that was loud for a deisel !! .
Hi Gav, great build. Inspired me to restore my original XJR-12 #92. You mentioned after market driver cockpits were available, can you please provide their contact details? Thx.
Hey Gavin always love your videos I’ve never built a tamiya. But I’m always looking for more RC content (people who really love the hobby). I’m betting you’d get a little bigger audience if you sprinkled a little more non shelf queens in there like that video you had a while back with that infraction…oh and crawlers (love crawlers) and most of those you can get in kit form. Anyway I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this so I’ll stop now Love your channel!!!👍
I've built a few crawlers on the show, MST, CC-02, CC-01 and a TRX4. I haven't done many others for a while. No real reason, just busy with other new release projects. I am trying really hard to do more RTR stuff and I have a limitless v2 coming on the show :)! The issue is budgeting for big brand RTR cars are easy £400-£700+ each and when one video makes £40 revenue, you can see this isn't viable at all over doing a few now and again. I am now able to get RTR cars at cost but it still doesn't make business sense when you look at used prices and selling fees. Say I get a RTR for £400 and it retails for £460, I save £60. I make two videos and receive £80 revenue. I then sell the used RTR for £300 on eBay. I am still down £20 and have worked for three days making RC content. This is currently the best case as it does not include eBay fee or it not selling for that price. Until I can get a bigger discount on big brand RTR cars, it will stay a small part of the channel until it goes big enough to make it viable. Big brand RTR manufacturers would rather send demo units to big US RUclips channels and that makes total business sense but it kills smaller channels from ever getting a look in unless you fund the content yourself. That's life and normal business. The bigger you are, the easier it is to make better content as you get the latest products sent to you for review early, and your videos make more money so you can invest more back into the business. Shelf queens builds make more business sense as the built kits and vintage stuff holds their value more if you build it to a high standard. Also, the outlay is less at £200 - £300 for a kit but this is starting to change as Tamiya prices keep going up. The Egress Black now being £500 for the kit is starting to become an issue for smaller RC channels like RCKicks just like the big brand RTR's. I think we will see smaller channels focus on the Chinese RTR market as these companies send products to smaller RC channels so it really helps smaller channels keep making RC content.
Wow nice!! You’re right I never looked at it from a business perspective. I wasn’t trying to bash your channel either just a thought. Anyway I watch all your videos nonetheless and love them all. Thanks for the insight 👍
If an rc isn't going to be run, why not just spend that money on a really nice model kit of the vehicles, and paint them up? I guess I just don't understand that side of the hobby.
Good point. For me personally a model doesn’t do anything put just sit as a glued lump while an RC has working suspension, steering and it can be driven bringing it to life. I like that aspect myself and that’s why I build everything vs collecting NIB. If you could get the detail of a model in an RC like the engine now that would be cool and we are seeing this in scale rigs these days. I get joy from shelf queens and building kits. I have other RC I drive like my TRX4 sport, XMAXX, CC-02 and Cougar that have that used look and I don’t mind. Whatever makes you happy is what you should be doing with your RC. I was talking yesterday to someone who collects loads of body sets and he had 3-5 of each one still in its packet or box. These will never be painted or used but he gets joy from them and that’s cool. Yes it doesn’t make much sense to me but that doesn’t matter as it’s not my collection. We are all different but we all love RC and that’s great 👍🏻👍🏻
@@RCKickschannel it's something that, even if you or I don't quite get it, it is still part of the hobby. And to know that regardless as to what is being done with the cars, the hobby is just that much better and bigger for it. I may not understand the idea of a shelf queen, but I can appreciate all aspects of it for what it is. Your rc's are a beautiful collection, and something to be admired. And thanks for doing what you do. I look forward to your videos.
Those are both beautiful, nice work.
It's a pleasure to see you loving your hobby. You are a legend my friend

That is a simply stunning body you have there Gav 😁.
You did outstanding work on the body. You have a lot more patience than I have. The body looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Uooow this car is absolutelly fantastic! Super tricky paint job you nailed on this model, congratulations for the result!! It's the most beautiful tamiya rc I've seen🥇🏁 😍🤟⭐✨✨✨
Wow, that Nissan looks the nuts mate, fantastic job!! I love the late 80's and early 90's Group C cars, by far the best looking race cars ever made...
The Nissan actually has two rear mirrors!
The bump over the left front wheel is the mirror on the left side, I think you placed a silver sticker on there.
Yep I noticed it.
Excellent job Gavin 🤩🏁

Nice attention to detail Gavin !!! Great job M8!!!
More to do but it’s getting close.
What a great body, congratulations. Painful but worth it
Great job mate 👍🏻 I’ve been waiting for this since the unboxing video came out few weeks ago. Legendary built and really pleasing the eyes just to look at it. 2 thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻
Looks absolutely stunning...👍🇬🇧😎
I had an Associated RC10L with the same body back in the early 1990s when I was a kid. I wish I could find another one
Really Nice job! But now we want to see them on the track!😜
C11 will be run on the show
The time spent in masking and painting this has paid off!! It looks amazing!!! Nice job. 😎👍🏻
Dude, this thing is awesome!
Turned out awesome.

Looks amazing Gavin. Very professional job. Love all your vids and the live action shots of the real cars are a great addition to your videos.
Amazing job very high level of detail
Great job Gavin. You really are good at painting and detailing bodies!
Great looking car mate. Well done.
Gorgeous, I have always wished tamiya vehicals performed as good as they look.
Max max max super max
Great work Gavin! The best looking Nissan i‘ve ever seen!!
Looks really nice. You skills are outstanding!
Such a homage to the golden era of IMSA GTP! Great great job!
What a superb job that you've done on that body Gavin....kudos to you mate.
Beautiful and very detailed ❤️❣️😍👍
looks great ,would bring back memories of the buggyra doing this one hey😄 !! you said we need this in our collection but thats the problem there not easy to get!
You never know, we could see this one rere by Tamiya as the licence agreement would be easy for Tamiya has its Nissan.
Looks stunning mate
Awesome build mate, I love this kit. Would really love to see the wheels painted in grey / chrome, they are a bit dull in black and I think the wheels on the original are a real eyecatcher!
Yep I agree 👍🏻
You nailed it Gavin, she is really beautiful. I couldn't run it either, just to much of a queen 👸❤️
it really looks good. In my opinion the red lettering on the tyres really lok great.
😍 Absulutely gorgeous car, Gavin! Well done👏

Yep you can get some extremely strong plastics these days that also have a small amount of give in them. Some magical composite plastic.
Great Job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's well nice brilliant
Thanks David

Awsome job as allways Gav 👌

I’ve got this RC from 92 and it still goes, I need the rear foam tyres though, where can I get them?
Tamiya released the C11 in 2022 so you should be able to find some
I wish you showed under the top so I could see if it’s exactly the same. I’m in Australia so it’s expensive to import anything. I’m in need of the universal cog as the teeth aren’t exactly great.
