Growing up, I had a punishment similar to the ishidaki one. Instead, we have our knees on rocks and have books in our hands with my arms raised. I couldn't let them fall below 90 degrees. If it happened, I would get beaten and restarted the timer. When I grew up, I realized I wasn't the only one. Most came from military families.

09:30 Out of curiosity, I tried to find out whether Bamboo would be sharp enough to penetrate a human body, only after I looked up the speed of which bamboo grows per day, which turns out to be a shocking 35 to 40 inches. If the human was places directly on top of the bamboo sprouts, it would likely take less than a day, maybe even less than half a day, for the human to die. That is, of course, assuming that the ropes or tie points weren't loose, allowing the body to be lifted up by the bamboo before it going taunt enough for the bamboo to finally pierce through the skin and penetrate the body.

WWII has always intrigued me, especially Japan, Germany, and Russia. I'm Australian, so I was taught in schools all about Germany versus the Allies, but honestly, America, Australia, England, France, And every other country on that side are all still in the wrong, yet they're made out like the good guys. In WWII, there were no 'good guys'. Just the winners and the losers. It's the same with most wars. Only time there is a good or bad, is when it isn't a war, but instead just annihilation.

Unit 731 certainly existed, but much of the human experimentation stuff is exaggerated.
The source for the experiments on freezing fingers and injecting seawater into the body stuff was based on the novel "悪魔の飽食," which was released in 1982, but the novel's author, Seiichi Morimura, later admitted that much of what he wrote in the novel was just hearsay, not what he actually saw and sensationalized it to get attention. And importantly, the novel is published by a Japanese Communist Party (JCP) publisher.

But to the level that I've been seeing where people deny their war crimes and sheer lack of human rights in history is not ok. You can like the country and want to know more but don't deny the actions they've committed just because you didn't like them or don't want to believe them. As an Orthodox Christian. Lorenzo Ruiz sounds like a Gigachad. Even know he’s a different sect of my religion. I’m sure he was given the crown of martyrdom in heaven.

I agree with Akidearest in the intro video.
Anyone who knows exact history would never say “ I wish I was born in that time period.” never!!!
Because it was horrendous! These ppl whoever invented these torture devices ain’t human but bunch of psychopaths or something.

Quick question - Just wanted to check - Is there a difference between torture methods and execution methods. I always thought torture methods were designed to get someone to talk and sometimes (probably often) resulted in death while execution methods were designed for well... the obvious purpose. Particularly with the boiling alive example that seems to have the intention of ending a life while the stone hugging seems more like a torture method with a high chance of ending a life. I think pressing is an example of a torture method as it was intended to get people to confess things but of course it usually ended ... badly. While of course there are dozens of execution methods throughout history that are designed for that purpose.

Never forget how you convinced me to read KS at 12, I didn't know what yaoi is and i thought he looked like levi which made me watch it.
I am now 17, turning 18, forever traumatized.

4:13 yup, many of the current BDSM gear, forniture, and practices have roots on both western and eastern torture and restraining methods.

Imo, Unit 731 and Nanking are the worst things to happen in hunan history. But the stone hugging could kill you through a phenomenon called crush syndrome.

When you mentioned that there were many photos of some countries crime but they still deny it, I can help to remember what is happening in palastine and how Israel government keep denied their crimes against humanity that they do to children and women and elder, their crimes are extremely cruel, they even bomobed hospitals 💔
I hope God help all palastine and free them from the devils 🙌

Japan with WW2 genuinely infuriates me. The fact that no one is taught it and Japan still on large denies it and does not teach it. Japan was almost worse than Germany in WW2.
Unit 731 and Nijing truly is disturbing.
