This train is my only option and I'm the frequent traveller from KGP to MAS. Things I like about this Train is it's punctuality, 95% on time, and ticket Availability. Second is as you mentioned it'll have good food and with accurate IRCTC Rates. Only negative is after BBS, the Toilets won't be clean.

Soumit a word of advice buddy. I have had 2-3 thieving experiences in train.
1. Once I got down at Gaya Bihar railway station for tea arnd 1 AM in night. Keeping my tab on upper birth 3AC with curtains closed. Came back and it was stolen. With everyone sleeping other than the coach attendant. Could not do anything. Lesson- never leave anything unattended and never trust anyone.
2. Was on the way to Jaipur. Somewhere near Agra or Mathura arnd 6 PM. Train was running at 40 kmph. Someone came running and picked up someone’s laptop bag and jumped off the train. Difficult to believe but it actually happened. Everyone was shocked.
Lesson- secure luggage and bags with chain.
Although now I seldom travel by train esp long journeys but these incidents are something I never forget. Sometimes we think it won’t happen with us until it does. So better to be safe than sorry. Take care buddy.
Wonderful journey. Planning to travel in May to Kolkata hope wud enjoy the journey as you did....but my fav is Coramandel Express😂. Wonderfully covered and review bhi super 👌.
The MAS-SRC AC is a hit & miss. I have experienced delays of 6 hours at times and sometimes before-time arrival.
Food also was hit & miss.
I traveled to Chennai via this train in 2017 i guess and it was Icf then ...
Train was late for 8+ hrs + no pantry car no water limited stops
I think it ran as spl train then

बहुत अच्छे लोग बोलते हैं मोदी जी ने भारतीय रेल को बेच दिया पर उनको यह नहीं पता के भारतीय रेल को बेचा नहीं है सिर्फ कुछ इससे प्राइवेट हाथों में दिए हैं जिसका इतना रवि नहीं होता है कि 1 दिन में 3527000 लोग खाना खा सकते हैं इससे कितने लोगों को नौकरी मिली है साफ-सफाई कितनी अच्छी हो गई है सिक्योरिटी का पूरा ध्यान रखा जाता है पैसेंजर की तब देख लो कितने प्यार से बात करता है पहले कितनी ज्यादा बदतमीजी होती थी टीटी कितनी ज्यादा बदतमीजी करते थे लेकिन अब सब प्यार से बोलते हैं क्योंकि उनको पता कि एक कंप्लेंट और नौकरी गई यह फायदा हुआ है पर साले जो झंडू लोग हैं उनको घंटा नहीं पता बहुत अच्छे अब 1 दिन प्रोग्राम बना लो बता देना कमेंट में भोपाल शताब्दी में चलते हैं घोस्ट ट्रेन की स्पीड और उस ट्रेन का खाना ट्राई करते हैं दिल्ली से भोपाल जाएंगे और फिर भोपाल से वापस दिल्ली आएंगे एक नंबर का ट्रैवलर मजा आ जाता है हाई स्पीड 160 की स्पीड से घड़ी भारतीय मजा आता है सुबह सुबह
