Always interesting to see what a younger collector feels is their best. Interesting how we all look at gold silver bronze and modern differently but we can all appreciate some of the same books

I don't have any of the major grails, but if I would stop being a hoarder maybe I could trade or sell off all my doubles and get an x-men 1, Avengers 1 or ASM 1. Low grade of course.
Great collection!(..although,I have to disagree on the first gambit..)--Question,Do you have Iron Man #55?(..First Thanos?)--Bought a raw back in '93..for 50 bucks i think..(Slabbed it's probably a 5.5 or 6.0..((could probably bump that to 6.5 or 7 after clean and Press-Just sold it for $350,cheap,to a long time buddy and collector.) But yeah man,love your channel,..keep 'em coming! 🥰

awesome collection Alex! it's funny because I remember a couple years ago I passed on a Batman Adventures 12 for $100 thinking "damn, 100 bucks for a modern age book, I'll pass until it goes down" lmao, how I so regret that decision! damn book never went down, just up and up. I really would like to eventually get a ToS 52, Superman 123 and Flash 123 especially a Flash 123! I want that book soooo bad lol. Great vid bro. makes me want to do vids again lol

What state(s) are you shopping in for some of these finds? In SE Florida I can find next to nothing in the bargain bins. Just TONS of 90's Image and Marvel stock.
I frequent most shops in Illinois, Missouri, some in Kentucky and some in Indiana. There is a lot of stuff in these states!

🤯 This is crazy video I wish I got into collecting much sooner. I wasted so much money on other crap 😭
To grade or not to grade, that is the question. You've got a load of great books! Wondering, when do you personally decide to have them graded or not. I have a nice collection of silver and bronze that I collected back in the late 80s and some key issues (ie FF 48 and hulk 181, AS 129, X-men 94). Been out of collecting the last 33 years. (Dang I'm old). As I was watching your video I noticed none of them were graded, which lead me to ask.
Well I have a 5 year old, and a baby on the way, so I'm trying to slab all my books and get them a high on a shelf as possible. Depends if you you have kids/ grand kids. Another possible good reason to slab is that you can take cell phone pics of your cgc numbers, and register them with gocollect.com. Also might help in case of natural disaster
or theft.
I just started watching your channel. I realize this video is 6 years old, but I have no idea how you found some of these keys for 50 cents or 10 dollars?!? Maybe I live in a bad area for comic books but I NEVER see keys go for that cheap......I can't even fathom it! Great haul though!
I love watching these older videos to see how far these collection's have come. When I first watched this video years ago, this collection was much better than mine. Now I have many more keys than this but... now his collection is an order of magnitude better.

Up to this point I really didn’t sell books at all. But have since moved a bunch of the doubles to get other books and stuff. It’s been a fun process.

Hey man, first my question: Could you assist me with what product/sleeve you are protecting your comics? I've been using mylites 2 with backing. Since finding my 90s collection of books from my younger days, that nostalgia bug bit me and got me collecting again. So over the last year+ I've been picking up some valuable books now that I have some more means to do so, and I certainly want to protect those investments. I like those thicker sleeves in this video. If you see this, thanks for the help. I appreciate the positive vibes in your vids.
John Tracy thanks for the comment. My favorite way to protect comics is this: if the book is a modern I love to try and put it in a current sized Mylite 2 and full back and then put it into a ultra pro top loader. If it’s a silver age or Bronze Age book I just use mylite 2 standard size and fullback.

Where do u get your comics from ? The best comics I've found were krypton chronicles 1 and a few silver age ones. Lol
Zac Temp thanks for watching and commenting. I get most of my comics from local shops. There are a ton of shops in the state I live and in other near by states. That's the best blade for me. Then used book stores and antique stores. You can also check hobby shops, used CD shops and collectible card shops. They have comics sometimes.

I've never understood multiple copies myself. Maybe it's just because I'm on a budget - who knows?
Me neither, although if its a variant (like one direct copy and one newsstand) I sometimes keep them back to back in the same bag

The first appearance of Mystique was in MS.MARVEL #16, I know because it's the hole in my Ms.Marvel collection that is too expensive for me to fill! the fact that Avengers Annual #10 was Rogue's first appearance was merely added value. My motivation was Claremont resolving what was done to Ms.Marvel in AVENGERS #200!

So, just an idea, but you might want to say why they are in your top 50, the value, or whatever. Just showing them on cam doesn’t mean anything to someone that doesn’t know anything about the comics you’re showing.

265 advertises that in the next issue 266 there was going to be a new mutant introduced names Gambit. I’m going to stick with 266 all day every day over 14.

Gustavo Puente they are called Top Loaders. I think Ultra pro makes them and you can find them on eBay! Shouldn't be much more than a dollar a piece. Maybe less.
Gustavo Puente BCW makes them. They are golden age toploaders. Backboarded and sleeved Silver age books will fit perfectly for double protection and extra rigity. Do not get the Silver age top loader, it will not fit the silver age Backboarded and sleeved comics. The golden age top loaders are bigger and will easily fit them.

ZoharXD hey thanks for the question. Luck, persistence and being ok with buying a lower grade copy. Not all of my books are high grade some are low. But low grade is better than no grade.
