      @@rossbrower7668yesss I would when a 50% pay cut is 6 and you signed with Vikings for 7 when you could of did 7 with packer but he trusted his agent Drew Rosenhouse who screw him by telling to see what the market has. It gets deeper Mr. Drew is also Jordan Loves agent and Xavier McKinney the new safety we signed so that being said his agent knew exactly what was going on but still let him to believe to explore the open market. Yet he went to a team with No QB who have 2 rookies and just sign Sam darnold cause Kirk left and JJettas that's it viking are terrible worse move ever

  • @artcarl9333
    @artcarl9333 8 месяцев назад +18

    In my opinion it comes down to his agent. Everyone hates dealing with Drew. I feel like the Packers put their final offer out there and he came back with a counter offer like he still had a 21 year old stud Jones. Time was of the essence and the Packers made the decision to move on and not play this drawn out game Drew is famous for.

They take the most brutal punishment of any position on the field and are the essential piece to any successful passing game.Yet, to make 10 mil a year is absolutely absurd. Meanwhile you have guys like Russel Wilson, Daniel Jones, and what's his nuts from the browns clearing 40 million a year to do what? Be a leader? Doubt it. Provide a spark for the team? Nope. To win games? Try again. It's terrible to watch, I feel bad for the guys that've worked so much harder than some punk premadona quarterback that thinks he deserves "x" amount of money just because turdface over there set a new record per year.

    Some fans get so triggered about everything. Always mad at the front office. If you don’t like how they operate, go cheer for another team. As for the rest of us who don’t get so sensitive on making moves, we’ve got a heck of a team for next season. Can’t wait to see how the draft plays out!

    I'm gonna cheer for Jonesy all but two games next year. May draft him on my fantasy football team, so he's still on MY team at least.
    I feel like his agent, Drew R, did him bad. Or maybe Jonesy does have a grudge against the front office.
    He doesn't hold a grudge against the fans tho. We will welcome him back and add him to the Packer Hall of Fame, just like Favre and Rodgers.
    It's a business and i get that... but yeah, total gut punch to us that loved him dearly. #33 🫶

    If the packers originally offered 50%...their final offer was probably more than 50%... So, the vikings offer may be slightly more or less than the packers final offer. It's unfortunate if it was less because he will always be one of my favorite Packers. Remeber it is a business first... If you want to watch football with loyalty and more heart you need to watch high school football... Especially small school.

    Hahahaha , lived in GB my entire life and I gotta say, Packer fans are funny people. Everybody’s butt hurt they let Jones go, clueless to the fact they actually got a better RB. Ohhhh, but Jones is such a nice guy, Who cares !!! I don’t remember teams getting extra points for “nice guys” being on the roster. I hope Jones is ready to get run into the ground by the Vikings, cuz they’re going NOWHERE with Sam Darnold under center !!!! Not a huge Goony fan, but every move the Packers have made this week has been aces 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    I mean this was going to be Jones last year anyway. When you really think about it, it was the right thing to do. Packers are still trying to rebuild this roster and get new coner stone players. Can't do that by overpaying for a guy who's going to leave after this year anyway. The idea was probably to keep Jones for cheaper and sign a guy like Zach Moss, and rotate them. But, that didn't work out. So we got an elite talent at the position who had a down season last year, and pretty much a team friendly "prove it" deal. The Jacobs contract isn't as pricy as it looks. It was the right move

    I don’t blame JONES ONE BIT!!! He was such an A CLASS leader, player, and AMAZING to his community!!! Already took a pay cut before, then they slap him in the face with a LOWBALL OFFER!!! You couldn’t match 7 million? Could’ve had the best RB DUO arguably in the last 50 years!

    Emotionally, it hurts, 33 was a great player for us…..and I get that he probably wanted to make the Packers sorry they made this decision and took about the same money to go to our rival--thank God it wasn’t Detroit! Sadly, in about 9 months either 33 or the Packers--maybe both will probably wish they would have found common ground. The Vikings will not be very good, and all it takes is one injury for the Packers to play what if?

    Here is the unfortunate reality. Jones played 11 games and rushed for 656 yards on 142 attempts. He is gonna be 30 years old. Since 1962 there has been about 25 running backs over the age of 30 to rush for 1000 yards. (16 game seasons for nearly all of them). If you look at the top 30 players by rush yards nearly all of them minus CMC, Henry, Gus Edwards, and Mostert are under the age of 26. Once Jacobs was paid i dont think the packers FO could justify a RB room over 16m a year with the draft capital we have, and the needs we have in other positions. Having to take a pay cut is the gut punch, not getting paid less. Jones hit FA and only made 1m more than what we offered and i think is a testament to the ability of our FO to evaluate player value internally. The offered him around the going rate of the league and he turned it down. Its really on Jones for (what i seems like) taking it personally. Each year our FO is going to do 100% of everything they can to get the packers cap space healthy and maximize every dollar and that means broken hearts sometimes.

    Drew Rosenhaus played chicken and lost. I love Aaron Jones and, like so many former Packers, he'll have buyers remorse for singing with the Vikings and their new QB. A million dollars less to play with Jordan Love seems like a no brainer after the fact. I feel bad for #33. We're building toward something big and now he'll be watching at home after a 4-13 season...

    I think the real issue was a little more on the playing time than the money, although an overestimation from his agent doesn't sound too crazy. Either way, Aaron Jones deserved to be a Packer for life

    Jan Stenerud, Ryan Longwell, Greg Jennings, Brett Favre and Darren Sharper all left the Packers and signed with Purple. None of them won a Championship in Minnesota, Aaron Jones will not as well. Aaron Jones was a great player and a great Packer but he is going to break down in Minnesota, just watch. RIP Aaron Jones.

    Simple solution. Put everyone, GMs, Coaches, Players etc. and their salary into the salary cap. See how anxious some of these GMs are to take less of their salary this year so it can be pushed out into future years. Make no mistake, none of these guys take a salary cut. The NFLPA would never allow it. They agree to take less of their money this year but it only gets rolled into future years.Jones agreed to it last year to help the cap and the money was rolled into this year. Why his cap # was 17M this year. GB wanted to do it again without an extension but by adding void years. Jones said it's my last year under contract so give me my money I'm owed. GB said instead of the 17M cap hit we'll instead give you the true 12M you're owed and cut you to free up 5M in space. They are still going to pay him 12M this year, it's now dead cap. So he'll get 12M from GB and 7M from Minnesota. So in truth the Packers with Jones 12M and Jacobs 14.8M this year are paying 26.8M for 2 guys at RB and 1 isn't even on the team when all they had to do was eat 17M in cap space they agreed to last year with Jones. Don't forget last year they paid Rodgers over 40M to be on the Jets IR and they'll pay Bahktiari over 20M this year to play somewhere else. It's why Rodgers agreed to less with the Jets and Bahktiari will agree to take less wherever he ends up. In 2 years they'll pay over 70M for guys elsewhere.
