Great video. I installed the exact same unit on my 2012 Ford Explorer Limited. The trigger for me was that the touch sensitive hazard light switch stopped working and the agency wanted to replace the entire Sony panel charging twice of what I paid for this gigantic Android screen. I lost 2 key features and am wondering if anyone has a solution/workaround for this. 1) The physical rear AC control buttons behind the center armrest stays in locked position but I am able to control rear AC from the Android screen. 2) The auto parking feature does not work anymore.
The auto parking feature does not work anymore is a deal braker. It doesn't show if you can use the USB ports below the screen in the compartment and in the center armrest console.
@keithdanielSr the original USB ports work. Alternatively, the USB ports can also be kept in the glove box along with the simcard compartment, all attached to the new head unit. Anyways, USB is not much of a deal breaker as you can get an adapter for the cigarette lighter port. I personally do not miss the auto parking feature but I remember paying a high premium to have it included as an optional upgrade.
I have a 2017 Ford Explorer would you be able to tell me what sync system is in there without me having to pull the stereo it has the 4.3 inch screen and dual climate controls as far as front and rear
Any issues with the automatic climate control with remote start? I’ve had issues with others where it would just turn on the heater regardless if it’s 110 degrees outside

Yes it sure does, it will be in the factory sync system, same place as always which makes this unit so awesome

I will have to test that in mine, guess I have never noticed but will try that out, nice and hot here now
