Each weekend that I travel to a different city I try to pack in as many fun and interesting attractions as possible. To showcase how easy and cheap it can be to see the country, I do not take any time off of work (I have to work a full 40 hours on each side of the weekend). Additionally, I use a couple money saving techniques like couch surfing and kayak explore. This weekend I am in Philadelphia, and here is my itinerary:

Thank for visiting! They really did covered the basics of what to see... As well as well as how to see it... The only thing I would suggest is try a cheesestake with American cheese instead of cheese whiz.... Stay on buses if you can. Most importantly enjoy! This is a great city with alot to offer! Welcome to Philly!

And a good Philly Roast Pork sandwich is on another level anyway. Try John’s Roast pork or Dinic’s for starters. They typically come with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe.
Cheese whiz only goes back to the late sixties early seventies, simply because it’s quick.
As a Philadelphian I really enjoyed this good job.
Spruce Street Park and River Rink are off the hook great! Christmas time even better.
This is great. I live like 15mins away n haven't went roaming around like that in years.
I'm 77 and grew up in Philadelphia in the 50's . At that time the Philly sandwich par excellence was the Philadelphia Italian hoagie with olive oil. It wasn't until 20 years after I left Philly that the cheese steak nudged the hoagie aside as the most well known Philly sandwich.
Wow I'm 33, born and raised in Philadelphia and never knew Hoagie were the top sandwich and came before Cheesesteaks. Thanks for the history lesson.

One of the best travel-location videos. Nice Nicholas Cage bit. Part of the Independence Hall sequence in "National Treasure" was filmed at the real Independence Hall and part at a fake one.
Not that long ago you didn't need a tour to go onto the Hall and you could walk through the Square and through the building archways any time day or night.

I moved a year after the city just started to turn itself around for the better.

You got a bit lucky on the Philly cheese steak experience. Joe's is one of the top 2 (MY #1) steaks in the city. MUCH better than the tourist traps!

Very well done & informative video...I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout. I'm from NYC and currently visitin Philly right now. Came here last July as well but was on a time budget...little over 24 hour's but this time we got 3 whole day's!!! Lol. Thank's for refreshin my memory for Franklin Fountain...will be going tmrw. I'm going to philly tomorrow. I'm gonna go to all those places you mentioned. I better not get shanked or get confront by people who "started makin trouble in my neighborhood" or I'm blaming you.
How did it go? You moving in with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air?
lol. Went great. It was amazing up until the end. I went to most of the places by foot. I stayed at an Airbnb near the Penn Campus. On my last night there I forgot to lock my car doors and some red bulls and a phone charger got stolen. Was my fault. Luckily nothing lost that wasn't easily replaceable. Learned a lesson. But overall my experience in Philadelphia was more positive than negative. Would love to go again someday (but definitely not stay anywhere near West Philly).

I am from NY and live in Philadelphia now, beautiful city but still horrendously run city. Should be a jewel of American history but instead is just a stop over of people who rather stay in NYC.

The statue is literally a movie prop. The fact that it’s next to the steps of one of the world’s greatest art museums is an honor.
