I would like to see the Beatles at Shea Stadium or the Japan concerts. They need to give them an official release. Great video Matt and lots of stuff we need to see released. Take care
I’ve always had this in mind… and would love to see …. 1…. Beatles around the world… select songs from different places they toured for one or two cds … England obviously, Paris,Sweden, Australia, U.S, Phillipines, Japan, New Zealand…. From 63-66…. 2…. The Shea Documentary and Live performance and cd…… and restored documentary and Performance Live at the Budokan Japan.
Some kind of release for the first US concert really does need to be done. The Star Club tapes would be interesting and maybe a box of a few live shows too.
I just hope it's before the next century. With the "Let It Be" movie we had to wait until 24 years into the next century. Not all of us made it this far....sadly.
We definitely need the Coliseum concert on DVD, that’s where we can silence the Ringo bashers with Long Tall Sally. He was on fire and the other 3 weren’t bad.
My top 3 Beatles albums that I would want remixes for: #3, Please Please Me! #2 Magical Mystery Tour! #1 Rubber Soul! In this order! Very cool 😎 video on your thoughts, Matt! Take care and talk soon, Allan
1962 / 1963 complete box set - Decca Demos , Star Club , All the official studio releases and a few demos / outakes / live stuff - Now that would be just amazing - and it would probably all fit on 3 or 4 cds - Well I can dream anyway !!!! !
I think this fall we get the Beatles First US Visit (Revisited), some kind of expanded version of that Albert Maysles film on Disney+ similar to the campaign that the original Let it Be got. But I think Apple will have some kind of music component timed with it. I'm hoping for a live album from the era, like Washington Coliseum, or maybe the Ed Sullivan material and other TV appearances from 1964 remixed into stereo for CD/Vinyl and ATMOS for digital using MAL as a kind of soundtrack to First US Visit. If not live material, maybe they would remix and re-issue Meet the Beatles...I think Paul's new solo album will arrive this fall, too! Then I think Rubber Soul will get a big box set in 2025.
You know what I'm seeing for the end of year 60th anniversary-you know what I'm working on,Matt-Im calling Abbey Road next month, and telling them about the Capiphone project and getting what they need(either files or a CD set of the project)I just played the singles and EP sets-all TRUE mono mixes, including those With The Beatles mixes that were faded early on the 2009 remasters. You get the second Nonono pharasing on Not A Second Time that was NOT included on the remasters.Film mixes,Ken Thorne soundtrack stand alone program,Extended endings on certain tracks, dedicated monos for Abbey Road,Let It Be,and the Roundup volumes(2of those).Itll be awesome if Giles and Miles will help move it foeward.Odeon,Capitol,UA(soundtracks-all vocals).
@@matthewstreet1961 Well,Matt,we'll see.I know it needs to happen. The catalog is incomplete without the remaining early mono only songs not in twin track stereo,at least, but the HDN and Tell Me Why film mixes are exclusives to the actual film itself and are different along with the" dart screen"intro mix of Help!in the film These 3 alone are worth the release of the project Longer endings on certain tracks, restored endings on others, mixes issued in Germany and Holland back in the 60's and reissued thru the 80's but not beyond, not on any worldwide box sets,at least, need to be finally presented in a set that contains the whole catalog in album form that includes all of the above I mentioned. How could that not be a big deal for Universal and the fans, too?!?Im compiling it,and Abbey Road could tweak with 15 of their crew to do it quicker and have Apple and crew approveand release it thru UME/Apple.With the Odeon(1 album)UA(2 soundtracks, and 2 instrumental programs,George Martin orch.(HDN)and Ken Thorne(Help!)to add to the mix.Even a Sessions program to include those highlighted unreleased(at the time),Anthology tracks, with a few new ones added.Putting On The Style(Quarrymen)Complete" In Spite Of"(at 4:00)"Goodbye"and a few others.Im including this program, too.

Hi Matt. Nah, they're holding back 'Rubber Soul' 'til late next year for the 60th anniversary. Of course, I don't know either, but it now seems most likely.
I love all your ideas Matt. Hendrix fans get all their wishes, so many live albums have been released over recent years, possibly too many 😅 If they do release an MMT set I hope it includes the 4 Yellow Submarine tracks, otherwise those songs could be left stranded.
I'd like to see Anthology reworked by Peter Jackson and re released on DVD/Blu-ray. or the Shea Stadium gig on album and Blu-ray. The Star Club tapes would be a great release, love your suggestions though Matt, esp MMT....
I'm most certainly with you on the Hamburg concert recordings, although there is a certain charm with the rawness of the recordings as they are. If there was a way to clean it up, but still have a sense of actually bring at the Star Club while you're listening to the recordings, that would be great. Also, I still have my super deluxe edition of the Help DVD. (I'm NEVER getting rid of THAT!)
Hello Sir I hope you are doing good From The Beatles I would love to have everything that you mentioned here However, there are three more things that you did not mention that I would really love One of them is an official release of the Decca sessions because I do have a bootleg CD that contains the 15 tracks but it sounds very low and of course, the Silver Beatles bootleg sounds a lot better, but it does not contain all 15 of the tracks The second thing I would love is a release of the anthology on Blu-ray Last but not least, I would love a physical release of Let It Be because unfortunately, I have not been able to listen to the movie due to the fact that I do not have Disney+ Oh, I forgot to mention that on the Beatles anthology CDs we did get some of the tracks from the.Decca sessions, but unfortunately, we didn’t get them all Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we get all of these things Anyways, please stay safe God bless you and I will catch you on the next video
just release The Star Club tapes and I'll be happy. I love my album though you can only listen with headphones to hear what's going on. I still kick myself for leaving behind copies of this album I used to find in cut out bins. I would find copies with different song line ups than the original album.
How about the Beatles hard days night in colour as the 60 th anniversary is coming this summer I've managed to get a rare copy in colour and oh wow absolutely amazing plus the fact that these days teenagers were brought up black and white world I'm more likely to buy this if it was in colour and Peter Jackson would be the right person to do this
All of your suggestions are good ones. I hope that the Beatles won't have any more projects with Disney, because Disney is too full of itself, and doesn't understand the lasting popularity of the Beatles. They refused to add anything extra to "Get Back" because they didn't think that there would be any "market" for it. Also, they underestimate the attraction of physical media. I would like to see box sets for all the Beatles' films + albums and singles associated with them.
A better associative release that I like was having Criterion re-release "A Hard Day's Night." I took my kids to a movie theater to see that, and the picture quality was incredible.
I've never been a fan of the Star Club recordings, but I'm not a fan of live things to begin with. I'd be interested to see if he can make the stuff sound great or if it will just end up being glorified wonky cassette recordings. I am intrigued, though. And I'm thinking that John's Mind Games may be the biggest thing this year. Apple may take a year off to prep for 2025? We'll probably find out soon enough.
There is just not that much unreleased Beatles stuff left that I would be interested in buying. Step up the McCartney/Wings releases. There are still loads of unreleased or difficult-to-get material from over 50 years of productivity.
Um, the beatles quit in early 1970. They haven’t done a thing since. They simply repackage and rerelease their old stuff over and over and over. It amazes me that people keep buying their products over and over for high prices. I grew up with the beatles. I was a fan. Still, I know marketing and hype when I see it, and I am not biting.
You’re right, I’m gonna throw away all my Beatles albums, become a “Swiftie” and buy all of her albums! Then I’m gonna become a One Direction maniac! Oh wait, what? I missed the One Direction mania? Damn! Ok I’ll be a K-Pop maniac instead! 😂 Just kidding Slack…having some fun!
