I know!!! The way she kept congratulating, rooting for, and hyping Baptiste up at the net during the end game handshake, it felt like she was respecting her not just as a colleague, but also as a friend. I have mad respect for Coco after that. She's so precious and super inspiring.

Baptiste is a good ballstriker but she's going to have to drop 15-20 pounds to be able to compete at a high level on the tour. Gauff showed how important court coverage is. She's always so gracious as well.

Baptiste made way too many bad decisions on court. She also needs to work on her serve; no placement, Gauff had an easy time returning it with interest. But I think Baptiste will get better, she’s just got to go to work with her coach.

Coco wins one round over a much lower ranked player and everyone is in raptures -she needs to prove herself and one good result In the French Open does not warrant the hype she gets. She is nearly 20 and there’s quite a few others who owned a GS at a younger age

LOL, it’s not her fault mate. Blame the media for all the hype but clearly, some of the hype is warranted since Coco came on the pro tour at 15 years of age. Not many tennis players do that as many players will struggle for years playing qualifying matches just to make a main draw match.
Look at all the hype around Raducanu and now she hardly wins any matches which it all can’t be blamed on injury.
There will always be hype and sponsorships. That’s just the way it is. It’s a money making world out there 😅
Stop comparing Coco to other players. She is her own person.
Coco could care less of any media “hype” as she is focused on her tennis. Not everyone is supposed to be winning everything at Coco’s age of 19 and just because others have Grand Slams at a young age doesn’t mean Coco should have one too. Everyone develops at different times.
The fact that Coco consistently makes 4th round and quarters at Grand Slams is testament of her skill. Making a Grand Slam final in singles and doubles is amazing too. Give the girl a break.
The public puts so much pressure on young tennis players as if their careers will be over soon. Look at Serena and Federer - they played way into their late 30’s.

Gauff is a top 10 player in singles and doubles with multiple titles. Where's the play book that says any player has to win a GS at all let alone by a certain age? Based on her current rankings, titles, etc., she's already "proven herself." And she's only 19. The retirement age for pro tennis players is close to 30 every year. So, what are you REALLY talking about?
