Jason, I love love the idea of you doing a children’s book and even more, have a CD with you recording it. There is NOTHING better than listening to you talking. Your accent is just wonderful and soothing. My granddaughter will watch your videos with me when she hears you talking and laughing. She’s 3 1/3 years old. You could be reading the book so children can listen to you. Something to think about.

I suggested to Lester and Jami about writing a children’s book about Mr. Huck’s story. How he had to overcome so many obstacles in his life and then becoming the Leader of the wacky pack. It could teach children about the beauty of life and the sadness of death.

Where do Elberta peaches come from?
The Elberta peach is the favorite peach tree for home gardeners in the United States! It originated in Marshallville, Georgia, in 1870, where it was grown by Samuel H. Rumph, who named the variety after his wife, Clara Elberta Moore.
They are very popular here in Georgia!

Boomer here-Alberta peaches were considered the "Cadillac" of peaches when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s. They were bigger, more expensive so my folks only bought them for special occasions. But one of those purposes was canning! Yumm!)
    Thanks for the memories!
P.S. I am REALLY enjoying the Sat. AM broadcasts. Lots of good topics, and a little bit quicker pace ( good for those of us who are having our "caffeine infusions."😅)
PS Still love the after chores, er, after work hours afternoon broadcasts for the more mellow approach ( annnd for the dogs!)❤

We visited Australia several times when we lived in Singapore for several years. Sydney and the Blue Mountains are great places to see various parrots and cockatoo. We stayed at the Jemby Rinjah Eco Lodge in the Blue Mountains for several days. In 2000, they had morning bird feeding for interested guests. The Crimson Rosellas and Australian King Parrots gathered in the trees about 15 minutes before the feeding. We stood with sunflower seeds in our hands and stretched out our arms. The birds would land on our head and arms waiting their turn to eat from our hands. It was one of our lifetime favorites. The Great Barrier Reef area is a must see. Melbourne is another great place to visit. Tasmania is unique and was another highlight.
If you go, look at flying through Singapore and staying for a few days. Jurong Bird Park has several walk in aviaries. They had Victorian Crown Pigeons, even a baby. There are bird shows as well, all included in the entrance fee. We had yearly memberships since it was a favorite activity.

I had to laugh at your comments on your avacado green stove! I had avacado green appliances in the 70's!! My most favorite stove was a large white Magic Chef! It was given to me by a friend's mom so it was old but was in great shape & cooked like a dream! I think Jason should definitely write a children's book & have MC illustrate it for him. My girls had a friend whose mom illustrated childrens books in the 80's & they were into organic gardening, natural everything & lived in the woods by us. At that time they had alpaca's. Some of my Ukrainian family who lived in Canada had a farm with goats & made goat cheese. I was just a little child when we had some of their cheese & I don't remember it. My Ukrainian grandmother in Canada had a huge kitchen in her basement where she canned & froze all of the food from her huge garden. She also did a lot of her cooking down there. I think you will really love having the "kitchen" in the milk parlor!

The Elberta Peach is considered to be one of the more active peach trees, and can produce up to 150 pounds of peaches in one season. In addition to its peaches, it blooms each spring with an abundance of vibrant pink and purple flowers, followed by its harvest season around early to mid-July. (online info) We love Elbertas when we can get them. They are freestones. Perfect for canning. They are also called "Raggedy Ann's." They are sort of raggedy not perfect looking like a stone peach. You'd love them, they are so sweet.
