When I watch these great videos .. with all the continuing progress being done using the various tools and equipment .. on your future building site and farmstead .. it's so easy for me to forget, a times, that you guys are also accomplishing all this off grid. Thanks for allowing me along on this project.
Hi again! Good job! That's not going anyplace for sure. A strong permanent structure. No more temporary stuff! Won't be long and you'll be working on the house yay! That will be a great day for you all! Thx for sharing...
Excellent craftsmanship, Jeremy. I hope that sometime in the future, Jamie and the girls can use their artistic skills to paint the pump house in a whimsical cottage style, perhaps with faux windows and a weather vane. ( :-) just my imagination going wild.)
You guys are simply amazing. You set goals and you go for it no matter what... and it pays off!!! Please don’t stop doing these videos , I absolutely love them! Oh and Jamie, I missed your cooking vid. I know you are really busy and I understand (this is not a criticism), just know that when you make one, i’ll be one of the first to watch. Like your new hair cut by the way ;) Cindy for Canada
Hey brother, appreciate your perseverance. There's a lot of things we have to do that we don't especially enjoy but gotta do it. You the man. The well house looks great. Thank God that you have an intelligent and helpful spouse. Blessings to you and family. ☝💪👉
One thing I would do is put that rubber spray (Flex stuff) on the lower outside walls. Then you could fill in the area with dirt to level with the rest of the area. Just a thought.
You can, officially, add masonry to your skills list. Again, amazing how much pre-work you do before starting a task.....really pays-off! P.S. Background music is KILLER!! 👍😎❤️️
Jeremy my grandfather had a similar well house when I was a child. He installed a homemade crane to lift the roof and rotate it away from the well house. He lost his arm in the Pacific during WW2 and was always coming up with great ways to make life easier. Don't know if it's practical or even needed for y'all but just a thought.
Awesome job! Love watching you and Jaime. Learn a lot. My wellhead is a bit farther away from my pressure tank, but I can tweak your plans a little. Thank you for the plans. And I am going to buy that cool flashlight. You both rock!😁
I LOVE watching construction stuff, and if nothing else, your well house only whets my appetite for when you and Jamie build your permanent home! Can't wait! : )
I love your work. Such a perfectionist and a good planner as much as anyone can be living off grid. I have enjoyed this mini-series. Thank you for bringing us along. :)
I like that your reviews are honest and you mention things you don't like. I am also like that and I find it refreshing to see in somebody else. especially given what we now see on social media everywhere.
Jeremy & Jamie, thank you for the video. I learned allot about how to construct a roof onto a cement block structure. Hope that things are going well on the homestead. Rob S. (Rockford MI)
I made plans for our well house over the winter. Ours will be bolted to a concrete base and will completely disassemble in case work on the well needs to be done. When our pump was replaced, they had to have a rig right over the top of it if i remember correctly. At any rate, I designed the house to hold a portable generator as well in case of a power outage, then we will just store the generator there. Here's a tip: the first pump went out on a very hot summer when a giant ant colony decided to move into the well head. They kept dropping down the well and finally burned out the motor. It was clogged with thousands of ants. We now use Amdro spikes to keep ants far away.
@@mwatkins2464 I own a rental property with a well and we'll house but it has been on the public water system since before I bought it. Next time I need to do any maintenance I'll check it out to see if this is the case for my particular we'll house.
Keith Brookshire it just depends on the person building it. My grandpa has one that wasn’t removable but by pulling a few nails it would come off . If I was to build one I would put an O ring in the middle of the roof so it could be lifted off by a well driller if needed.
I would place the foam sill gaskets between all the wood and the concrete block. It will help keep small bugs out and will keep it from rotting in few years.
If wasps and such are a problem in your area, staple some screen window screen on the inside between the rafters at the outside end. Helps keep them from building nests in your well house. :)
HAHAHAHA! "That's what she said." It it looking really nice. Your skills are really advancing. You are ready to build your house for sure! 👍 Can't wait! I have to suggest that you put a screen under the eves so you don't get wasps building nests in there.
You should use pressure treated lumber anytime you put wood onto any concrete surface, you can bypass that if you go a buy some wood treatment and a paint brush you can treat that lumber helps keep wood from rotting .
@@tonygrimes13 I must've missed it ! normally pressure treated lumber comes in a different color either a lite green or blue stain distinguishes the treated lumber from the lumber that isn't !
For someone who wasn't sure they were really into this homesteading thing, you sure do rock it now! Great job !!!
So well built, man! Impressed!
👍🏻😉

I distinctly heard a “that’s what she said” in there!
What a joy finishing your own project. It's a great feeling.

Great Work. Balance with perfection.
Something really satisfying about getting a new piece of equipment and starting it for the first time!
Wow the well house looks great and nice new generator. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Great little series Jeremy, appreciate it. Always learning something from you. Thanks
Great content and good work. You just gained another subscriber.
Very cool! Murphy's Law in reverse.... By designing the roof to come off you'll never need to remove it.
So true lol
Great job. Love your tenacity and appreciate taking the time to bring us along.
Excellent job! Very practical.

Having paid enough for your well, you certainly want it safe and have worked hard to do just that. Well done 👍🏼. Sorry about the pun!

Great job thanks for sharing!
Congrats on finishing. That's quite an accomplishment!
That looks great, nice work!
You are doing very nice work. I admire a person who try's and succeeds new skills. Keep up the hard work
You might think about sealing the whole thing up. That will turn into a mouse house, rat hotel and a bee hive.
awesome idea on being able to lift the roof off.
Damn! You're good! The wellhouse looks great!🙏🙏🙇🙇🙋🙋
We are proud of you! What a beautiful well house!
Like always a super super great job
Great job on the well house !
Looks Great
Awesome work! One question.. why not make it a little taller so you could walk inside?

When I saw the thumbnail I felt sorry for your future self when it comes time to work it there.
Removable roof = GENIOUS!
Keith Brookshire that’s how most all well houses are built with a removable roof. If the person knows what they are doing

Great looking well house. I like your attentions to the details. Sweet looking new generator !!!
"that's what she sad"! Jamie!!! You are a kindred spirit!!!! I love how genuine your relationship is!
GBF, Another Great Video, enjoy the thought and real effort you put into your projects and this is no doubt another example. Cheers.
WELL DONE to a GREAT JOB !
Jeremy you are a wonder. Some of us women can’t get our husbands to pick up their dirty socks. Great job!
Kathy Jenkins women have all the power in a relationship if you know how to use it 👍
That well house turned out great and really cool of y'all to put the plans up really great people and channel. Thanks
I'm glad I found this channel! You guys are a wealth of info. :)
Excellent work, Jeremy!
Missed your videos. Glad your back and building your house.
You guys are amazing! You both do your parts as agreed and look what you achieve. Awesome.
That thing is so darn robust! Love it.
Olights are awesome. I’ve used them for years. Military/Police grade products. I use rechargeable battery cells and always have two full cells ready.
Somebody is having fun today 😊

I thought you were making a tornado shelter. That thing isn't going anywhere.

Great pump house.
Arms Family Homestead did a review on Olight flashlights today too.
I really like this light.
Love the music nice well house too
Great job, never say its maintenance free, planning ahead. As you get older it worth it now to do it right.
Thanks for the flashlight review. I'm in the market for one. You're not the first one I've heard talking good about OLight. I'm going to check it out.
Awesome pump house
Jaime!! See, you're a very good help when it comes to wood and tools. I'm sure Jeremy appreciated all the help! :)

Pressure Treated wood was used as said in a reply to an earlier comment.

Mad Greek Outdoors just depends on how much it’s been dried out if it’s a different color
Nice Job!
Nicely done bro. That was a lot of work. I'm a recent subscriber and loving the channel. Thanks for what y'all do.
Well done buddy!
now you need to make one much much bigger .you did a great job on that
Nice looking well house! 👍🤟
Y’all are awesome. New to your videos and very informative, as well as inspirational.

Great Video nice job completing this project. Looks great !

Very nice finish to the build.
The build turned out really nice and crazy sturdy. Good job
Süper olmuş👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
Hi , much better than the old well house, looks like a posh play house, it was fun watching this as you forget the camera was there at times.
Your lucky here in Wyoming our well pit is 7feet deep and still will freeze like always great video 👍👍👍👍
I certainly hope that when you build your house that it is a lot like the well house build. if you do that, that would be awesome.
Lookin' Good! :)
Great series finale sir!
Great Job, It turned out great
