Side Note Around the 10:55 - 11:10 timeline, a portion of the video is blurred out as to protect past residents' names which were quite notably visible on the outside of some of the files.
Exploring a derelict abandoned trailer park in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. I explored abandoned trailers and the structure onsite. It has been abandoned since around early 2018 - roughly a year before this upload. According to the county tax appraiser website, the holding company that currently owns the land purchased the trailer park in 2014 with the sale and deed transfer being finalized in 2016. They operated the trailer park for a short period while winding it down. They backfilled the pool in June of 2017 and capped off the water to the lots in February 2018. There is still one unit left, but it appears they have an eviction notice. They are likely waiting for the last residents to clear out before going into full-scale demolition unless the residents have already left - I haven't seen any signs of life there, so it's possible the holding company has run out of funds to complete the demolition. The park and buildings were built in the late 1940s with the ownership changing hands several times up to this point.

Hard to believe I was 14 when I started watching this channel. Its been 4 years, I'm glad to see new uploads.

I'm so glad you're posting again! I used to live in Margate Florida and it had several large trailer parks at one time, only one is left that I know of. It's a shame because they were mostly retirees on fixed incomes and people making 12 to 1400 a month on Social Security can't afford anything else, unfortunately Developers see this land for potential Apartments which are much more profitable with rent going 1500 to 2000 for single bedroom! I'm not kidding. It's very unfortunate for older retirees without money because they have no place to go anymore. It's gotten to be that you have to be rich to retire in Florida now in a condominium or whatever. I believe this is happening all over Florida. Great video by the way! Keep it up.
Harry, so true! Florida is grimey like that, glad i moved back north. Even medical care is a horror in Florida.

Agreed. It was the same for me, her's was the first I watched and one of my favourites. I think my favourite explore of hers was the abandoned home with everything in it. Ummm... she found a book at the start called "Fox's Book of Martyrs" (a VERY disturbing book by the way). It was on e of those homes that had everything, clothes and all still in it and a hanging noose in one room. Made me wonder.

Typical 1960’s retired veterans paradise. WW2 and Korean War vets would flock down to these trailer parks for some affordable fun in the sun and live out their last days not worrying about shoveling snow.
I had to laugh when you mentioned at the beginning that they may turn in this into a park LOL this is Florida, every square inch must get developed.
Cool 1950’s and 1960’s mobile homes, once filled with happy retirees playing cards and swapping war stories.
Be safe- I was cringing hoping you wouldn’t step on any rusty nails. That’s a huge danger, especially in tall grass. I’ve had nails go right through the bottom of my shoe. Thanks for a great explore!!!!

One of my friends brought this to my attention,,,, This park, for many years was called Caroline , it was located in St Petersburg FL, one block off US 19 and I-75,,,, on Haines Rd,,you were extremely fortunate not to have encountered meth or crack heads, or heroin addicts because that was the main problem there,,,,, unfortunately those cats you see were abandoned by residents,,,, it will not become a park, it's slated to be luxury apartments,,,, the whole Haines Rd area is going through a major change due to the rapidly growing population,,,, if you have questions about this park, I'll be glad to address them,,, it's one of many parks we own/owned in Florida. Although I live in France now, I still like to use the internet to see how everything's going,,,,,, thank you for your video,, and please stay safe🇫🇷💋

There is a huge trend going on across the states to shut down mobile home parks. Go buy a big house or rent apartments if you can't afford it live on the streets. The land is valuable for gas stations and new homes like there's not enough houses sitting empty all over the place.

Thank you Tiki, I enjoy your videos so much. People who buy/own trailer parks do not realize how much it cost to operate them. It looks like these owners found that out. One not very good thing about trailers versus a real house, the real house goes up in value and the trailers go down in value just like a used car. Thanks again Tiki.

That park is seriously trashed considering it's only been a year. It looks like scrappers have taken some things. Some of those trailers were really old. Great find, cool video!

That's what I was thinking. I'm guessing the residents and trailer park owner got their insurance payout and moved on.

That is an old place old school buildings and the trailers are quite old. For being abandoned for only a year there pretty trashed. The cats have found it there home they are going to have to find another place once this is all gone. I'm thinking maybe a park if there saving all the tress. Glad to see you posting again been with you since the beginning. You were the first urban explorer I subscribed to.

Around 6:18 Those could be like rental cabin rooms. Some campgrounds/trailer parks have cabins as well.

Nice to see they're planning to keep the trees. Where I live in California, when builders acquire land they just bulldoze everything down and cram the maximum allowable amount of new buildings onto the property.

The change machine was because of the laundry room because not everyone had their own machines. They are bulldozing a lot of the old trailer parks in Tampa because no one could keep them up to code. There was one I grew up around and now it’s all gone.

Welcome back to Florida, it is great to see and hear your posts. If you are still in the area, researching the Carpenters Home in Lakeland might be interesting. As a kid it was a great haunt, a Carpenters retirement community turned not so welcoming to its retirees.

these once were someone's home . I find it sad. perhaps they abandoned their pet cats too if they were forced out. I didn't enjoy this at all. I found it sad.
