I find having implicit trust in your teammates is huge. Yes everyone has different skill levels but an average team that plays well together can often beat a bunch of lone wolf superstars.

That's very true, but everyone has to EARN that trust as well. It must work both ways. Great comment, thanks for watching.

I played on that kind of team. We only had one good player, a second year that was the best kid on our 40 kid team. It was seperated inot red and blue. Blue had all the good players, and red was supposed to be the rookie team. But that kid, Josh, brought us together and inspired us. We worked really well together, and won every game against blue.

I’m in a really tough spot right now, and I used to be a very dominant smart player, but my self esteem is lowering and I’m falling back down again. My coach put me on the PK line, which isn’t really a good thing, but for some reason it just strengthened me because I was mad. I wanted to show everyone that I was better then that. Eventually I scored a goal, and I don’t expect to be moving up the line anytime soon, but I know that if I can better myself, I don’t need to worry about what my coach thinks because I have other options for next year if things go wrong. When I make a bad play, I either loose self esteem or get furious and play better. I learned that it’s not random and that I need to be the one to control what I do with that anger and competitive energy.

I'm 9 games into the season and haven't scored a goal yet. I had about 1.25GPG last season. Man, I'm losing self-confidence.

I think of what it takes to dominate in a hockey game , is that when you and your line start the shift , then you set the tone right off the bat for yourself which represents of how your going to play all game. Is to set the tone for yourself.

Hey Zac, love the videos. I was wondering could you make a video on how to handle playing on a really bad team? I'm the captain of my team and it seems like nothing I do or say is helping. Thanks in advance!

Of course, the idea is to eliminate as many of those as you can, not just say "everyone has bad games"
