I had to rewatch this video after I watched one of your "my first time riding public transit in DC" videos. Because "Wait -- he recorded part of it in 2001??" And then I contemplated how you're looking so young in 2023 if you're, like, almost 50. :) Loved this one, btw.
I'm honored that you didn't notice the editing on the "old" footage. Yep the apple store opened before I was born. Thanks for watching!
Nice video! The story and "old footage" was pretty great
Thanks a ton!
This is similar to the 59th street 6 and the Lexington Ave-53rd street F,Q transfer in the NY subway
I still gotta get to NYC at some point, does the MTA see it as 2 separate trips or can you transfer for free?
Thanks Sammy for making this video. I don't live there.
But I have empathy and compassion for you and people who have to deal with these things.....
You are so welcome
Excellent history!!! Thanks, I didn’t know when this was fully implemented!
2011 ftw!
“Could you guys be any louder”😅
car horns are so loud smh
That map at 2:23 looks like the CTA's maps from the 2000s
gotta get to Chicago one day
Story aspect made the video more engaging. Good work
Thanks for the feedback!
Im gonna be in DC in a week. thanks for the heads up.
enjoy! 2 things I recommend you check out, the view from the old post of office (look it up) and the view of DC in Roslynn. theviewofdc.com/visitors/
Wow, 2001, what at time to be alive. Life was simpler back then when only apples had rainbow colors on them and even then they were disappearing fast.
I remember my preschool had rainbows on the walls.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Boston have this too? I thought I heard somewhere that you have to cross the street in order to transfer to a different subway line.
maybe, im not totally sure, I changed the title to DC's because someone pointed out that Chicago has something similar.
Did the Silver Line replace that bus or does one still exist?
28A is one of the busiest busses in wmata, prob the most used in VA. It runs every 12 mins a lot of the time and wasn't replaced by the sliver line.

I like how 2001 you doesn't have access to the free Farrugat transfer, but somehow has access to the 2014 Silver Line.
I said I took 28A to Tysons, from west falls church.
@@sammymarrco47Aha, I should have paid more attention
The old styled camera looks so weird with the 7000 series haha
yes very trippy, not accurate tho.
The beginning was recorded 2001?? I didnt see a difference of you between then and now what 😳
it was all recorded on the same day, i just made it looks like it was was 2001
2001....long time ago.
in a galaxy far far away
