Grunty boy is becoming more and more like Dr. Doofensmirtz. I like to imagine that each poketuber is assigned a rocket grunt they have to deal with similar to what owca does in the actual show. Mikey is just the only one that makes a record of it.

Oh, this was cool. I love how useful Wigglytuff ended up being for you, I know it's not a great Pokémon, but I find it can get stuff done when it needs to. And glad you eventually figured out Exeggutor is in fact in the game, I was almost screaming at the screen a few times there. Definitely a cool video, and seeing you playing GO again made me think back to those themed Community Day videos, those were so cool, I should really rewatch those.
I haven’t finished the vid yet but I like how Lairon carried fairy gym and was in a lot for the ghost gym, agron is my fav Pokémon for nostalgia and it being my 2nd second shiny ever. It’s also in hoenn and that’s my first game, so I’m happy the big old metal guy gets some love.

Wigglytuff does have equal physical and special attacking stats. It's really just Competitive that makes special attacks look more desirable, a Wigglytuff itself could be played physically.
You should do this again every so often, because it'll be different every time, because of Pokemon GO changing spawns. Another alternative would be that after the 4th gym, at least one of the Pokemon has to be caught from a raid, or something like that.
All of the background music in this video was great! I especially loved the Pokémon Masters and Dragon Quest music. My only complaint is that I thought that the music switched too often too quickly.

I actually experience something close to this in Pokemon hackrooms, where, for example, in the water gym is always raining. It is an amazing way of making the game harder in a creative way rather than just giving higher level Pokemon to gym leaders. I look forward to see what Mikey can come up with your idea
I think Hardcore mode in Radical Red does something like that at least with Koga and Sabrina though maybe also the rest of them. Koga's ninja aesthetic is backed up by casting Tailwind so his Pokemon can all be faster than you, as if his Mega Toxtricity wasn't already faster than my fucking Alolan Ninetails as it was. Sabrina in all versions I think casts Trick Room which sorta has the same effect. She also gets a Mega Hatterene which is naturally, really goddamn slow so Trick Room is great for it. Giovanni isn't a gym leader anymore but he still used a sand team and also has an Excadrill with Sand rush which means you either need to kill it before it kills you, or get some other weather setter, preferably Rain or Sun since it's weak to water and fire, to stop it.
