i wanted to say. this idea takes a ton of knowledge.. not only do you need to know what pokemon can be transferred to sword and shield but you must obtain pokemon that will obey you and you wont know the level until its too late. good job on being a poketuber mikey. it seems good to know a lot about pokemon for this

Grunty boy is becoming more and more like Dr. Doofensmirtz. I like to imagine that each poketuber is assigned a rocket grunt they have to deal with similar to what owca does in the actual show. Mikey is just the only one that makes a record of it.
I love how we've gone from Grunty Boi robbing Michael to Michael just casually leaving a note giving Grunty Boi permission to hang out in his house and do the promo.

The fact that Mikey is confident leaving Grunty Boi alone in his house is pretty wild.
Grunty Boi is like when someone gets a dog that's wild and destructive at first, but after time and mutual understanding, you can leave it alone without worrying about it wrecking your house. 😂
The thing is... isn't Grunty Boi breaking in? So why didn't Mikey even notice he had been there? Maybe his shower curtain could have been moved or something. I actually think it's funny that he's more expecting (and accepting) the break-in at this point... Does Grunty Boi lock up behind him? would seem odd if he does... Maybe I'm overthinking this, lol.

I love how Grunty Boi and Mikey are such good friends that Grunty Boi enters Mikey's office alone and doesn't steal anything.
I like this concept Mikey, maybe you can consider doing this again with a different pokemon game hopefully in warmer weather though.

I don’t remember the first time I saw one of your videos, but after like 5-6 years of not liking/remembering Pokémon, you’ve rekindled my love for it. The first game I *remember* playing is ranger, but then I never got another one until BDSP, and I’ve been obsessed ever since! I played TGC for a bit (not correctly but I had fun), and still occasionally grab a pack. Thank you for making me love Pokémon again!

Oh, this was cool. I love how useful Wigglytuff ended up being for you, I know it's not a great Pokémon, but I find it can get stuff done when it needs to. And glad you eventually figured out Exeggutor is in fact in the game, I was almost screaming at the screen a few times there. Definitely a cool video, and seeing you playing GO again made me think back to those themed Community Day videos, those were so cool, I should really rewatch those.
I haven’t finished the vid yet but I like how Lairon carried fairy gym and was in a lot for the ghost gym, agron is my fav Pokémon for nostalgia and it being my 2nd second shiny ever. It’s also in hoenn and that’s my first game, so I’m happy the big old metal guy gets some love.
Hoping that he will do these kind of challenges on Violet once Home support for Gen 9 comes out

You should do this again every so often, because it'll be different every time, because of Pokemon GO changing spawns. Another alternative would be that after the 4th gym, at least one of the Pokemon has to be caught from a raid, or something like that.
Another wonderful video, Michael! Interesting concept for a tougher play through. You always have some of the more entertaining promos on You Tube, but this one had me laugh out loud.

I used a wigglytuff in my lets go playthrough because I hadn’t used one before, they are surprisingly good, the fairy type defo boosted it!

For a new video, I want you to talk about home field advantage for gym leaders of every type, like all flying gym leaders have a permanent tail wind, or dark having a permanent taunt up
I actually experience something close to this in Pokemon hackrooms, where, for example, in the water gym is always raining. It is an amazing way of making the game harder in a creative way rather than just giving higher level Pokemon to gym leaders. I look forward to see what Mikey can come up with your idea

I think Hardcore mode in Radical Red does something like that at least with Koga and Sabrina though maybe also the rest of them.
Koga's ninja aesthetic is backed up by casting Tailwind so his Pokemon can all be faster than you, as if his Mega Toxtricity wasn't already faster than my fucking Alolan Ninetails as it was.
Sabrina in all versions I think casts Trick Room which sorta has the same effect. She also gets a Mega Hatterene which is naturally, really goddamn slow so Trick Room is great for it.
Giovanni isn't a gym leader anymore but he still used a sand team and also has an Excadrill with Sand rush which means you either need to kill it before it kills you, or get some other weather setter, preferably Rain or Sun since it's weak to water and fire, to stop it.

As a video idea, I really enjoyed it, and must have been really interesting to plan out. As for the ad read, the fact that grunty boi's involvement still feels fresh and witty is amazing. I love it. Thanks for another awesome video.

This challenge is such a good idea! I'm kind of into pokemon go already just bc I use it to motivate me to exercise, so it would be fun to try this. Though I'd probably want to use one pokemon per gym then create a team for the E4 based on those 8 pokemon bc that sounds more challenging and fun to me personally.

This was such a fun video to watch, and I was pleasantly surprised when I recognized that Dick's Sporting Goods and the Gloria's (even if it was blurry I recognized it anyways by how often I used to play Pokemon Go in that area 😂😂). I definitely look forward to more playthroughs with a twist haha!
